Whether a princess or a general, Leia Organa is a force to be reckoned with! Spanning the entire Star Wars saga, this 32-page early reader with stickers introduces padawans to the feats, talents, and triumphs of everyone's favorite princess.
My soon to be 6 year old daughter will love this! It is pretty much a perfect summary of why General Leia is just so wonderful and amazing. I also liked that this seemed to be written for both girls and boys to enjoy. Too often anything with Leia (or Rey for that matter) seems to be for girls only when everyone should be able to appreciate the awesome-ness of Leia.
Disclaimer: So I bought this as part of my daughter's birthday present but I'm glad that I read it to myself first because it honestly made me a little weepy. I'm not sure how I will manage to get through Carrie Fischer's scenes in the Episode 8.
Both boys enjoyed I started reading to Theodore, age 5, and by a few pages in Emerson was listening too. This book is a feminist piece, celebrating Leia. I’ve never seen a Star Wars movie but this short. Ok seemed to take us on a chronological tour of the Star Wars story with Leia as the central figure. Well done.
A great level 2 book for kids that talks about the good virtues of Leia from episodes 4 through 7, and leading into 8. A part of the Journey to The Last Jedi line. Has stickers too. A simple story that highlights a strong female.
This beginning reader introduces the character Leia Organa and tells a simplified version of her storyline from the original Star Wars trilogy and the sequel trilogy.
We went to a Star Wars science program at the library and the presenter displayed a bunch of Star Wars books. L ended up choosing this one to bring home. Star Wars isn't really my cup of tea, and I felt this was lengthier than it needed to be, but it was fine. L only wanted to read it once and then didn't request it again (I guess Star Wars isn't really her cup of tea, either). S was more interested but even he only wanted to read it that one time.
