Live. Fight. Breathe.

Levi Hogan was looking for a piece of his soul when he first entered the underground ring. Taking men down, showing them who was Alpha gave him a high unlike any other.
He was happy, content, until his older brother fell in love and he saw what he was missing.
The other half of his heart. Her pain was palpable, piercing his soul.
A dash of color on the horizon and he found her, tackling her to the ground wasn’t in the plan. Neither was tripping over a fucking gopher hole.

Harder. Faster. Stronger.

Hayes Morrison lived and breathed the creed. Her life motto to push her boundaries. She was set for gold, Olympic dreams were on the horizon.
Until an accident changed her entire world.
Crippled with pain, physically and emotionally, she’d given up hope of more.

Until him.

The cocky fighter with a bad attitude and always saying the wrong things.
It wasn’t long until they both had One Choice to make, would they choose each other, or settle alone?

3.5 stars

I was so excited to dig into this book. I loved book 1 and appreciated that the secondary characters were not manwhores. So, when Levi got his book, I was anxious to hear his story. Happy as a clam because it had-

-no cheating
-no ow/om drama
-not overly angsty
-steam- once they finally got together
-great heroine- although she was young (18) she was portrayed with maturity
-good secondary characters-a few potential stories were planted

BUT ( you knew it was coming)-

I'd be lying if I said I wasn't disappointed in the ending. No future look ahead for the couple. The ending, while not a cliffhanger for the couple, was a tremendous set up for another story. That's all well and good (I look forward to THAT story) but I wanted to know about Levi and Hayes' future!!

What can I say about this book? The characters just pull you into their story and will not let go. Levi was a man with a plan he knew what he was doing or so he thought. He was trying to find a place for himself he wanted to be his own man. Then one day he saw the sweetest thing ever and his heart was lost. Hayes was a young women with the world on her shoulder. She had just grand plans at least until that day. Now she was just trying to get by until the day her destiny slammed into her and everything was changed. Now for the better or worse??? Read and find out you will not be disappointed.

I have to admit this series is kind of frustrating me because it's everything I should love, I feel what the author is trying to give me should be the kind of story that consumes me and fills me with so much emotion that I continually come back to it whenever I need a pick me up safe read series, but as I said with the last book, the writing and general execution just isn't doing it for me. I'm not even sure how to put it in to words what it is that's missing but i can pretty much read this with a straight face the whole way through.

It has super sweet moments and it's a safe and low angst (IMO) story, so it could very well work for a lot of people.

I just felt bored reading it.

This one was a bit more realistic in terms of how Levi and Hayes came together, I'm okay with Insta love though so it didn't bother me in Lennox and Sophia's story. If I was more emotionally invested in these characters then the beginning to this relationship, more specifically, Levi's behaviour would have upset me a little, but I'm not emotionally invested so I guess it just irked me a bit.

I have major issues with the whole high school 'underage' maturity subject (she wasn't underage she was 18, but the subject was brought up a lot in this book) I guess I've come to the conclusion it's more about book politics than real life situations because I've seen a lot of people under 18 be in relationships with people over 18 and it's not been as much of a focus (if at all) that it is in books. But my main issue would be the maturity thing, I really believe that the majority of someone's maturity comes from their life experiences and not their age so it really bugs me when older people look at a person younger than them and immediately think they are stupid, immature, less, fragile, dependant.. you get the picture. It's a major issue for me in life in general so I'm not thrilled I have to read about it.

I will say one thing that I thoroughly like about this series is the characters names, I really like the name choices.

That ending..

Book two of this sexy, beautiful series!!! Loved it!!!

This is book two of this beautifully written series. It can be read as a standalone, but I really suggest reading book one first because it gives you background on some of the secondary characters. Each book focuses on a different couple and book two is all about Hayes and Levi.

Levi is 25 years old and owns Hogan Bros.' Mechanic and Restoration with his two brothers. His life feels empty, so he starts doing some underground cage fighting but doesn't tell his family about it. Every time they see him bruised up and hurting they try to find out what's going on. He says he'll tell them when he's ready. Hayes is an eighteen year old girl who is struggling to figure out where her life is headed. When she was 16 she was hit by a drunk frat boy while she was out training for her Olympic dreams of winning a gold medal in sprinting. The accident crushed her dreams and chances at going to the Olympics. That very same day her family received news that her older brother died while fighting for his country. Hayes has been lost and a drift ever since. Grab this book today to find out what happens when two broken soles find eachother. We they be able to heal eachother and reach their HEA? There are secrets and shocking discoveries in this wonderfully heart wrenching book. Grab it today, you won't be disappointed.

5 fighting stars! Be prepared for an emotional journey!

I do not know how to start my review. I am speechless. One Choice by K.L. Donn is one of those books that let you eating more. This books has to be read slowly because it is the way you will enjoy the most. K.L. Donn has done a fantastic work. The way she writes is quite captivating. She knows how to mix passion and love. She always writes masterpieces and Once Choice is not the exception to this rule.

After reading One Chance, the first book in the series, I thought no one can be more possessive and sweet as Nox Hogan. How wrong I was.

“Fighting was in his blood the way cars were in Nox’s.”

In this book you will meet Levi Hogan, the middle Hogan brother, a fighter whose emptiness can be filled with other's pain. Fighting is the only thing important to him. What he does at a boxing ring is his motor to live and he hides this part of his life from her mother and brothers because he fears to disappoint them. He feels like something is missing in his life. He needs a light that warms his heart the way the sun warms the earth.

“She made me see the light. She was what I was missing.”

A fighter like Levi Hogan only can be handle by another fighter, a survivor: Hayes Morrison. The tiny redhead will twist his world like a shot of fresh air. She will be able to save Levi from the darkness that is consuming his soul. Hayes' life has been marked by loss and the last thing she wants is to loose more so she will be carefully about Levi.

“What I feel for you, Hayes, it’s anything but innocent. This need driving through my veins to devour you consumes me in a way I’ve never known before. It’s new for me, too.”

Levi and Hayes are perfect for each other, they match like puzzle pieces. He is a fighter and she is a survivor. They have many things in common and they met at the right moment. Their souls recognised each other part. They have demons to fight and together they will beat them.

“Give me a chance, baby, and I’ll show you the world. Make me your choice, and I’ll worship you for as long as you let me.”

On my opinion, One Choice has a deep message inside every page: to keep fighting no matter how hard and dark things seem. To follow any dream you have because when you carry on, you will succeed and maybe, on the path, you will also find a sexy fighter like Levi Hogan.

“You have this taste, like fine wine and peaches. Or maybe powdered sugar and blueberries. I need more.”

I really like Hayes personality. She is not the typical damsel in danger. She is a strong girl who is capable of kicking any asshole's arse. She is the right woman for a man like Levi Hogan.

I highly recommend this book. It is a must read. Let Levi be your next book boyfriend. K. L. Donn always gift us possessive, romantic and sweet men, each one better than the previous one. Levi and Hayes’ story is pure passion. This book can be read as an standalone but you shall read One Chance and the next book in the series (One Call) if you do not want to miss any important thing about the characters who are part of this wonderful series.

Ok so I am going to write this review backwards cause I got something I need to get off my chest before I talk about everything else........

The end are you serious mama.....wtf was that........I like dropped my phone on the floor cause I was in so much shock......I bet you think its' funny....its not........its f*** brilliant. Holy Crapballs batman.........Need his book now, now , now, now, now, now (I say jumping up and down like a kid) my arms are officially crossed (x).

Ok, that tantrum is over.

This book is amazeballs......Let me just say Soph and Nox are my #relationshipgoals couple and if you read my review of the book you know how much I loved One Chance. So it was great to see my two favorite people again.

However, this book took me through a whole different slew of emotions.

I mean lets start with the jerk that is Levi at first. I cursed him out at least 50 different times in like 20 different languages..most of which I made up. I was so mad at him for making Hayes feel so bad and stupid all because he can't think before he speaks or reacts. But in good mama fashion she let him redeem himself and I told him "now if you mess this up again, I'm done with you and you will always be my book enemy and I will send Dominic to beat you up" lol..but he made me proud. He is such a hottie and the MMA makes him extra uber hot and necessary on my growing tab of book boyfriends.

Hayes is such a bundle of sadness and spunk that I feel like I should sit her on my couch and make her talk to me. I love how she opens herself up to him so completely when she is in his arms. When reading the book, I picture a graceful gazelle tall and proud, yet broken and unable to leap quite as far. Thus endearing her to me even further...because I love Gazelles.

She accepts him and his hobby that most would be turned off by but she embraces it and even tries to warn him about a bad feeling she had showing once again, that she was perfect for him.

I find myself enthralled at their chemistry and within for some myself and that is beautiful.

Their innate ability to know what the other needs is something every relationship should encompass and gives me hope.

The rallying around them to help with their love and relationship is also an adoring thing to watch. Now Levi's mom almost made me bring out a can of whoop a** on her when she went in on my girl without knowing her, but she saw the error of her ways and probably my shoe coming toward her butt too...lol.

I mean what can I say....this book was nothing short of amazing but I expected nothing less from KL Donn.

But first....mama....she cannot really be that young right...I mean like is Loc supposed to be a monk...I mean you wouldn't really torture us like that and make us wait for forever during that book for her to grow up..would you?..... who am I kidding, yea you would.....well I hope you got money for the loony bin cause if you torture me like that, I'm going crazy and I'm coming to your house.......

Buy the book people.....read the book people....and if you haven't already,,,,BUY ONCE CHANCE and read it too!!!!!

As always, your beautiful mind and lyrical words know no bounds!!!!!Bravo.

One Choice
Levi Hogan was a man with a secret. Unable to ignore the discontent and darkness he feels, he takes it out on others as a fighter in an underground ring. Pounding on his opponents helps to fill the hole in his soul . . . but not entirely. Ever since his brother Nox found love, Levi knows just how much he wants that too.

Hayes Morrison has been through more than most people her age. While training to compete for Olympic Goal, she is hit by a car and her life changes instantly. Left with a painful life, she is devastated both physically and emotionally. Not only did she lose her dream that night, she lost her best friend and brother as well.

When Levi and Hayes literally collide, there is no turning back for either of them. However, their relationship won’t come easy. Facing an age difference as well as emotional baggage carried by each of them, they must fight for their relationship to work. Can Levi leave the ring behind and find contentment in life? Will Hayes be able to find a new dream and leave her guilt in the past to accept love in the present? K.L. Donn weaves a spellbinding tale as she tells their story.

I really enjoyed this book. Both Levi and Hayes had to do a lot of growing up and growing together in this book. I liked watching Levi know what he wanted and refusing to give up on it. I also fell in love with Hayes. Her character is unbelievably string and sassy, yet vulnerable and innocent at the same time. She has been through so much at such a young age. While it may knock her back for a time, it never completely knocks her out.

K.L. Donn also did a fabulous job writing the parents in this book. Lorraine Hogan is just as feisty as ever making sure that her boys are good men and always do the right thing. Eric and Andrea Morrison are exceptional parents. They give Hayes such love and support, and trust that she can make good decisions for herself. Interactions with both sets of parents add a fantastic element to this book. It was also great to catch up with Nox and Soph as well as learn a bit more about Loch’s mystery lady.

While One Choice could be read on its own, reading One Chance first is highly recommended. I know you will fall in love with Levi and Hayes like I did. 5 stars!

These Hogan brothers are what dreams are made of, they love fiercely and will fight for what they want.
Levi Hogan has a secret he is keeping from his family, he doesn't know how to tell them and he doesn't even know the answers himself.
Hayes, had a dream and a future all planned out and one event changed all of her plans. She feels guilty and lost.
Levi and Hayes feel the electricity between them, neither wanting to feel this way. Hayes knows that if there is one person who can make her feel alive again it is Levi. Levi can't get Hayes out of his mind and hopes he hasn't missed his chance with her.
This book had me laughing at moments, Hayes' mom can't cook, and crying the next. There is so much pain and loss and emotions to overcome.
Read how they find their way together to find the love they both need and to heal their pasts so they These Hogan brothers are what dreams are made of, they love fiercely and will fight for what they want.

Wow let me just say WOW!! The second book is as great as the first!
Levi was a great character, so real lol he always said the wrong things but like most people he was simply looking for his own place in the world. Then he ran smack dab into to Hayes. Yes he made some mistakes...but his true caring towards her was endearing and sweet. He was also wonderfully protective , let's just say it was swoon worthy 😊.
Hayes now she was a broken girl who lost her faith in dreams.. but she meets Levi a guy whose foot is always in his mouth- at least in the beginning- but something about him calls to her and the parts of her she thought lost start to come alive again. Hayes was a beautiful mess lol but I loved her for it! She was also funny and could get mouthy when needed lol. The story was wonderfully written. It just flowed for me and there really wasn't any angst.which I liked. This was a sweet love story of two people who needed the other, of them showing each other that there was something MORE.

But I will leave with this.

Naughty, Naughty for leaving at that ending!! I need more lol I literally gasped and was like NO!! I need more!! Lol but readers, it's ok the book does end in the most sweetest way with of course a HEA!

Now: Next Brother.... Whoo... just what is Loch going to do? .....
And just what about Brett? o.O

Gluttony and greed are two of the seven deadly sins, but if I am guilty, it would because I want to get my hands on all of KL Donn’s books.

When I met Levi when he was but Nox’s brother in One Chance, to when I finally got to read his story, I was hooked. His tale, while lighter than Nox and Sophia’s, was no less striking, as, once again, KL Donn gave me a story that I could relate to.

Frustration at feeling lost, not knowing where he stands in life, like there was something missing in his life. Envy at seeing others –Nox and Sophia— find their happiness. Anger at himself for being jealous of his siblings. Of thinking that he needed to prove something just to belong.

Hayes herself reminded me of the "humanness" of life. Of losing a loved one, of feeling guilty for being alive, for despair when knowing that even if she was alive, she has lost herself.

Two lost souls given a voice by this wonderful story. Two wonderful, broken people who saw in each other a love worth fighting for.

Thank you again, KL Donn.

Dear reader, don’t just read the surface of Levi and Hayes’ story, listen to them speak to your inner child. Or for that matter, go treasure-hunting for all the lovely quotes the author was generous enough to gift us with.

Because love alone is worth the fight.

Second Chances

***ARC provided in exchange for an honest review***

For this to be a novella, the words, characters an storyline packed a punch and I found myself wishing that the book was longer just so I can enjoy it more and more. Levi is a underground fighter who does it because he get to unleash something inside of him that makes him feel free. He never thought he was missing anything until his big brother falls in love and realizes that maybe what might complete him is a woman by his side. Out running one day Hayes runs into a man who gives her a different outlook on life and what it can be if she lets herself go. See Hayes was in an accident on the same night that some stuff went down with her brother who was in the military and she never quite forgave herself for it. Levi is hooked from their first encounter and realizes that he is the man to gives Hayes everything she needs if only she would let him. Of course with every relationship mistakes happen. Will their love be strong enough to survive it you know you want to know so pick this book up, Just an FYI the ending will BLOW YOU AWAY!!!

AMAZING!!!

This series is just Amazing and Levi and Hayes' s story is just that AMAZING. These two were meant to be together and KL tells their story beautifully. Levi is the middle Hogan brother that spends his night fighting in an underground fight club. Hayes is an 18 year old former Olympic running contender, that was until that horrible night that not only took away her Olympic dreams but also her brother. When Levi literally runs into Hayes he can't help but to put his foot in his mouth, several times. The beginning of their relationship is very painful, but they both can't keep the other out of their hearts and minds. When Levi finally gets his head out of his tush, he knows that he will have to prove it to Hayes that he is there for her and their age difference means nothing to him. Along the way he learns all of her dark secrets and tries to help her anyway that he can. She finally gives him that one thing that he has felt that he has been missing. Gives him a reason to stop wanting to pound someone to the ground. This book and series is definitely on my must read list. I can wait for the next book in this series!!

Levi and Hayes are AMAZING!!!! One Choice is Book Two in the Hogan Brothers series and this time it's Levi's turn--- The latest book from KL Donn is fantastic, it totally has the WOW! I totally feel in love with Levi and Hayes. Levi and Hayes are both broken inside in some way and yet they continue to fight to heal themselves and to ultimately find that piece that will heal them without knowing it and them they literally run into each other and its like they are the missing pieces that they need. OMG their love story is beautiful. This book is packed with so many emotions, it make your heart hurt for them yet root for them at the same time.
I really enjoyed all the characters introduced in this book and loved how Levi and Hayes progressed with their love. There was some drama along the w ay and angst but their love kept them strong and that HEA was due for them…The ending though...WOW!!! You most definately need to read this book!

Simply Amazing!

I love hoe Hayes and Levi’s story unfolded. It was loving and bittersweet at the same time. Levi is a young man looking for anything to help fill the void in his life. Hayes is a teenage girl fixing to graduate high school. When Hayes’s friend hooks her up on a date to an underground wrestling tournament she’s less than thrilled, until she sees Levi. Levi’s world changes the moment he met Hayes, now it changes again. What Levi expected to happen never does instead their second meeting is just as horrible. After some much needed patience and guidance they finally decide to give them a try. Hayes tells Levi of her guilt from her brother’s death. Hayes still struggles with his death and how it has left empty. Levi attempts to help her get past all of her guilt, and finally she does or so she thinks she is...but with one knock at her door her whole future changes. Will Levi’s love help her through this, or are some demons better off staying dead and in her past?

I actually liked this for the most part, but I will say that it did feel like a filler book in some sections leading up to Sage and Loch's story (which will be the next book in this series). It was kind of insta love but it did take a while for them to act on their feelings which I liked. I thought both characters had good development through the story and we got just enough background on both Hayes and Levi to set the stage for us. I did like Hayes a bit more than Levi but that's because he seemed a bit brutish at certain parts. The one thing that really dragged down the rating for me was that we didn't get a look at Hayes and Levi's story in the future. Instead we got a kind of cliffhanger that will pave the way for Hayes' brother's book - which I have already read so I do know the story there. I would have preferred that to happen maybe like in the middle of the book so we could get resolution for Hayes on that in this book and then get a look at Hayes and Levi a few years down the road. The book also did need some editing.

Levi and Hayes are so amazing together! What happens when loss leaves you empty? How do you go on and do you let that feeling take over? Levi and Hayes are each battling their own demons in their own way but the demons are owning them. When these two lives crash into each other, literally, something breaks through the grief haze .

Levi doesn't waste time and works to get Hayes as his. Their chemistry is off the charts and honestly nothing beats having someone who you feel safe with and can light up the dark. That's what these two bring to each other. Their story is somewhat fast paced but with an undeniable connection, it is t hard to understand why Levi doesn't want to let Hayes go for anything.

You don't wanna miss this intense alpha fighter love story because it will lock you into the ring and you won't want to leave. There are shocks along the way so even when you think you got the picture, there is a whole new section that will be revealed!

Levi is a MMA fighter in an underground club. Taking his anger out on other fighters is a way for him to control the unrest and darkness which resides within himself.

Hayes is 18 and she had dreams and plans for the future until the traumatic night when everything changed and things will never be the same again.

Their first meeting did not go well and harsh words were spoken however for the first time in a long time they both felt something rather than just going through the motions of life. A few more chance meetings and Levi realized that Hayes was his and he would move heaven and earth to make sure they were together.

K.L. Donn has a way of creating such compelling characters! In each other they both something in the other that they were looking for without even knowing what it was. I loved catching up with Nox and Sophia from Book 1 and can’t wait to see what is in store for Loch. I voluntarily reviewed a Reader Copy of this book.

One Choice by K.L Donn is book two in the Hogan Brother's Series. This is the story of Hayes Morrison and Levi Hogan. I have read the previous book but did feel you could make this a standalone book. Hayes was training for the Olympics when she was hit by a car but to make matters worse her brother went mission in action and assumed dead. Now in her present day her and her parents are trying to get past his death. Hayes is left with a limp and her leg never being 100 percent again. Levi has taken to underground fighting to deal with his feelings after a family loss. Levi has to keep it a secret as he doesn't want to upset his brothers or mother. Levi happens upon Hayes one day and then another day which causes them to slowly have a friendship of sorts. Between the sparks flying between the two they end up finding that each other made them feel whole.
Note: Ryan's story is in the book 'Missing in Action'.

One Choice is an amazing book.

Loved Levi. He's my favorite of the three brothers. He's a hero that's a little rough around the edges, and makes a few mistakes along the way when it comes to Hayes. But he's a man with a good heart, and when he realizes his mistakes, he becomes a man with a plan, and isn't afraid to show Hayes he is the right man for her.

Hayes is an amazing, sweet girl who has gone through so much in such a short time that leaves her with some insecurities. My heart broke for her.

This book has some sweet times, some super hot sexy times, but it also has some heart breaking times.

Loved the ending. And that's all I'll say about that, because, well, you'll just have to read it to find out.

All in all, it's an amazingly hot read. Which you shouldn't expect anything less from K.L Donn.

So I wasn't too sure what to expect of Levi's story after I had read One Chance (Nox's story)... I had a hard time imagining where KL was going to take him! However I will say that I was VERY pleasantly surprised with the book and I loved it! (Maybe even more than One Chance...!)

I enjoyed the emotional journey that both Levi and Hayes were on and I loved how their burgeoning relationship helped each deal with their issues. I also loved how protective and considerate Levi was of Hayes' disabilities.

Super intrigued now to find out about Lochlan and his girl and how her situation will play into things... Can't wait!

Highly recommend this book - although it can be read as a standalone I think you would enjoy the story more if you read One Chance first.

I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

KL has done it again. I’m always amazed at how intense her writing gets. It draws me in and puts me right there with the characters. One Choice was no different.
It starts out simple enough, boy meets girl, wants her, gets her, but there’s so much or to it than that. The journey from their first meeting to the end is filled with such emotional highs and lows.
Gosh, I loved Levi, he was such a sweet character, even though he was drawn into illegal fights. But when he meets Hayes something starts to change in him, I loved watching him grow and mature with Hayes’s help, even though she was the younger of the two, she had a wisdom far beyond her years.
Can’t wait to see what KL has in store for Loch.

Another five star read!!
This series is amazing! This is another fantastic read by KL Donn. Levi and Hayes were such a great couple, and their story was beautifully written. Levi is an underground fighter because fighting fills a void in his life. Hayes had dreams of the Olympics, but her dreams were crushed and she has been going through the motions. My heart was breaking for her as I read about her life and what has happened to her. The two were perfect for one another. They helped to build one anther up, and they helped each other through difficult times. They each found what they were looking for, and I cannot wait until the next book!
I voluntarily read and reviewed an ARC of this book.

Just amazing!
K.L. Donn never disappoints when it comes to a great book. The story of Levi and Hayes is gripping. I could not put the book down. While Levi is searching for his place in life, Hayes is struggling with overcoming a serious injury that evaporated her dream of being an olympic athlete. They find each other when they both needed a person to lean on the most and their love for each other slowly blossoms.
I loved Levi's caveman persona and Hayes' shy demeanor at first. They both compliment each other so well and I just loved the way the story unfolded. I have never been not engulfed in one of K.L. Donn's books. She is an incredible author and her storylines are just incredible. If you have not read one of her books you need to start like yesterday.

This was an age gap romance between Levi “Knuckles” Hogan and a young woman Hayes Morrison.

Levi “Knuckles “ Hogan is a MMA fighter who wanted something of his own so he started fighting. He didn’t tell his folks or his brothers. He ends up bumping into a woman Hayes who used to be a professional runner until something tragic happened to her. Levi is instantly entranced by Hayes. He finds out that she is still in high school. They do have a little misunderstanding about it. He stands up to his mother about her age and his. He falls for Hayes.

Hayes thought that she lost her brother in the military but there is something she finds out. Levi and Hayes are a cute couple. I didn’t like that there was a cliffhanger at the end though. I did enjoy reading this book.

This was another hit for K.L. Donn! This was a fast-paced book where you see more of the second Logan brother. It did have an age-gap, so if that bothers you then this is not for you. However, all the characters were 18 or above throughout the whole book, except for the prologue, where the author shows you how the h's life turned bad. But that was shown as a flash back, so yes it was safe. There was some pushing from the Hero, but it didn't last long. This was a safe book with absolutely NO cheating and a HEA!
