It also contains rather explicit sexual descriptions. It contains absolutely no cheating .
So this is my first book by this author and the cliffhanger in this book will have me coming back for more. Hopefully from the title you can guess this is a suspense novel. Natascha is a report for a newspaper covering the serial BDSM killer. She is a strong female character and she doesn't seem to take crap from anyone, as portrayed in her relationship with Dino. Peter is a billionaire alpha who is on the board of the paper she writes for. He also has secrets and a past he choses not to deal with. When the two meet there is chemistry. As Peter pursues Natascha he takes her strong female persona and she becomes his submissive. There is definitely something more to their relationship than a one night stand. When the killer sends Natascha an email about a killing both Dino and peter become protective. But all is not what it seems. Peter suffers from blackouts. The author builds a convincing circumstantial case at the fact that Peter may be the killer because of these black outs. Or is it just someone playing Peter? When tragedy strike (don't want to give it away) where will the reader go and who will they believe is the killer? A must read even with the cliffhanger. I received this book in return for an honest voluntary review.
I enjoy a good BDSM book, and I thought Hunted had a pretty good story. I wasn't a big fan of Peter and thought he was a little too arrogant and cold for the entire book, and I expected him to redeem himself but I wasn't seeing any real signs of it. I thought Natascha was a pretty smart journalist, but I wanted to see her show a little more spine with Peter. The plot was engaging and had some good twists, but I thought there was a lot of glossing over scenes where I would have liked more "showing" and less "telling." There were whole scenes where no dialogue transpired, and instead the scene was simply narrated, with actions told to us rather than laid out in action detail. It felt rushed at times because of that. It's just my own opinion, but I think having the dialogue and portraying the scene with more live action would go a long way towards making the book more engaging.

I received this book in exchange for an honest review. I was given the description with the warning that this was extremely dark. With that kind of description I had to jump at the chance to read it. Dark romances are some of my favorite romances to read so this book was definitely a disappointment to me.
The writing was decent but I found some common errors every now and then. Unfortunately the format of the book drove me crazy. The chapter titles literally tell you what to suspect.
The characters were okay but very unrealistic. I constantly had to remind myself to not take it too seriously. The main character is in love by the second date and honestly there was very little chemistry in the book. Everything felt forced.
It showed promise but was not flushed out. I would not recommend reading this. If you're looking for a good dark romance try Kitty Thomas.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an Advance Reader Copy....
I love dark romances; however, this one was lacking emotions and anticipation. While I don't have an issue with romance novels ending in cliffhangers, it takes something away from a dark psychological thriller. There did seem to be some chemistry between the characters, the overall feel and connection was missing. The plot has potential. The author needs to put a little more thought into it. There needs to be more dialogue between the characters and get out of their head more. The storyline flowed smoothly for the most part though there were some parts that really dragged on. I hope that part two will be a little better than book 1. I do look forward to seeing how it all plays out in the end....
The first book I have read by this author and she has just gone to the top of my list for suspense/mystery/romance. If this book was a movie I would have spent my whole time peering through my fingers or grasping a pillow in front of my eyes. Worst part of it is that this is only part one! A hot newspaper reporter, a bad boy billionaire who has just become new owner of said newspaper and a serial killer with BDSM undertones and you have the backbone of the story. It is dark, it is deep, it is erotic, it is terrifying, it is brilliant. You really really need to read this book. I cannot wait for the next in series. Hunted is the first book in a trilogy from new author Patricia Rose Hart. It says this is a dark romance, but it didn't seem very dark to me... Maybe I'm just twisted. What really pulled me into this was book was the mystery of who the stalker and serial killer were. While I still have no answers to that, I am anxiously awaiting the next book to see if the identity of either the stalker or the serial killer are revealed. As far as the writing goes it was alright, although it did seem to improve as the book neared the end.
*I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy*
This is book is part of a trilogy. It is very dark romance and it has a lot of loose ends. If you are into dark romance this is the book for you. Is has chemistry, drama, murder, hot scenes and a very well written storyline. Sometimes it can be a bit confusing but then you just have to read on and the issue will solve itself. Definitely unique it is way of storyline and plot. If you read this book you have to read the whole trilogy to get to the end. If you are into this kind of books you get caught by the story.
I thought the writing in this book was okay. I'm giving it a 4 instead of a 5 because it took me a bit to get into the book to start off with. This is the first book in a trilogy and is a dark romance with a little bit of twist, mystery, stalking and a serial killer. This book I thought was more or less the set up which happens in the beginning of most trilogies. I voluntarily read an Advanced Reader's Copy of this book.
This dark, suspenseful read has mystery, drama, murder, a stalker, plenty of chemistry, and hot scenes to keep you glued to your kindle. The cliffhanger ending leaves so many unanswered questions that will linger in your mind until the second part is released. I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book.
This is a great start to a new series and I am looking forward to reading more. Natascha is not only dealing with a dominating billionaire but a stalker and a serial killer. There is plenty of drama, suspense and mystery in this read. The story is fast paced and I was hooked from beginning to end. I really liked it!
Hunted, by Patricia Rose Hart, is a dark billionaire romance dripping with suspense. This is the first book of the trilogy and it's the first book I have read by this author. Well written and full of suspense. The cliffhanger at the end has me all worked in knots begging for the next book!!
I am voluntarily leaving an honest review of this book based on an advanced readers copy I received. This is this first book I read by this author an was amazed. This one intrigued me because I was so caught up in the story guessing who the stalker/serial killer were.
With dark characters and a deadly killer, this book keeps you interested. I enjoyed the story. It definitely keeps you guessing as you wonder who is the killer. It is the first part of the story so be prepared for a cliff-hanger.
I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book. I couldn't get enough of this book...it was so intriguing...wow. Got pulled in & didn't want it to end....an enjoyable read.
Hunted is the first saga in this dark trilogy and it definitely had a darker undertone to the story. Natascha finds herself imbedded in a dark web when she meets billionaire Peter and he becomes her master. He is suffering blackouts and this only leads to more mystery and intrigue the whole way through, with both a killer and a stalker running around. Then the ending cliffhanger will leave you with even more questions. Great start and will be interested to see where this goes. I recieved an ARC for my honest review.
ARC review For honest review. Natasha is a reporter writing about a killer. peter takes over the paper and the killer target her. she wonders what is going on. this was a dark romance ,suspense, and mystery ,very good.
This is a new author for me. I was drawn into this storyline quickly. There is a bit of mystery, with a serial killer, romance, hot and sexy. I can't wait for the next book in the series. Definitely a great change from my normal reading. I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
Excellent story, bit dark with murders and bdsm. Super hot sex scenes. Only thing i don't like is the cliff hanger, I am intrigued and want to continue reading. I volunteered for a arc of this book
A psychological suspense thriller of a story. It had me on my toes to the very end. Which of course I can not wait for more!
A man who has a dark past but something in him is broken or is it? A woman who career is her main concern because she doesn't want a broken heart anymore. And a killer on the loose.
Natascha is a one of the many reporters for their towns local newpaper. Her main article is all about the newest serial killer in their otherwise quiet town called the BDSM Killer. He likes his victims with curves and after torturing his victims through different means, he kills them in a very unique way. Who will be next on his list? And her newest interest is giving off weird vibes everytime she sees him.
Peter is a self made billionaire. Making his own money from scratch, he's not your average billionaire born with a silver spoon in his mouth. His newest investment is at the Denver Post. He knows what he wants to do and create there. There's just one problem.. her.. She's everything he could ever ask for. If only he could get his act together to really talk to her....
