Debbie White visited River’s End Ranch over Christmas to spend time with her daughter, and she fell in love with the place. When she realizes there’s a job open in her chosen field, she jumps at the chance to move there. As the director of the Kids’ Korral, she has a lot to do to get it ready to open before one of the daughters of the family has her baby. She can’t let her focus be derailed by a handsome pilot who she meets on her first day of work.
Frank Watson, baseball cap collector and retiree of the US Air Force, is the official pilot of River’s End Ranch. In his late forties, he’s never married and isn’t sure he would ever want to. When he first meets Debbie, all his plans for life change. Suddenly he can see himself as a family man. Can he convince Debbie that it’s time for her to move on with a relationship? Or will she continue to be alone?
Kirsten Osbourne knows how to make a reader happy! Frank and Debbie aren't your typical romantic couple. After all, they are in their forties. But Jaclyn and the fairies have spoken. For Debbie, it's her turn at a second chance. Widowed for twenty years, it's time for her and she suits this flyboy's fancy!
Flyboy’s Fancy brings us another new resident to the River’s End Ranch and a fun romance for a couple of really nice people. With the opening of the new Kid’s Korral at the resort it’s time to find the person who will take control of that children’s center. Miranda’s mother Debbie once worked in early child development before she became a widowed mother of two little ones. Then making a good living was more important, but she’d always missed working with little ones. She’s taken a chance and applied for the director’s job at the Kid’s Korral and has just learned that the job is her’s. It’s a big change but the right one – and even more changes are in store once she arrives at the ranch.
I enjoyed this story in particular because we got a few updates on happenings around the ranch. All good ones. But because I’m a firm believer in not spoiling a story for other readers – I’m going to let you discover those special moments for yourself. Let’s just say that the happy level is going to skyrocket at River’s End Ranch and you’ll enjoy every single moment of it all.
If you haven’t started the River’s End Ranch series yet, I certainly would recommend that you go back to the beginning and get caught up in some very special and unique people’s lives. I’d recommend Flyboy’s Fancy and this entire series to any Romance reader who loves fun stories, believable situations, loving couples and a wild and crazy group of secondary characters who wander in and out of each other’s stories. This is a community build on love and respect and I’m loving being able to take part in the adventures of this series.

This one was a pleasurable surprise. Kirsten's books are usually the most silly and senseless books in the series, but, maybe because this is an older couple, the book felt more mature and not annoying. The relationship was lighting fast, like all the others in the series, but in a sense it made more sense because of the couple's backgrounds. Frank is an older man that never got married, but is looking for someone to share his life, and Debbie is a woman that lost her first husband too soon and had to raise her children alone, but now that they are old enough to start their own families, she needs something new to do and someone new to spend her time with. After spending so many years focused on her children, she needs to start focusing on herself. I liked the focus in an older couple, it was refreshing and cute.
Kristen Osbourne hits it out of the park every time she writes a River's End Ranch story. Debbie final can take her dream job. Her kids are grown & her job as sol supporter is over. Kid Moral opens soon and Frank the Flyboy can land for Debbie. Snow adults , Trivia game, lunch dates and twins are part of the story. Enjoyed it enormously!
This is one of the stories that don't follow the siblings but a romance of a relative. Bob the chef is married to Miranda and her mum is employed to run the childcare centre, she meets the lonely helicopter pilot and romance blossoms. The long awaited child of Kelsi makes a dramatic appearance so read the story to catch up.
Is it true? Can you still have life and love at age 40? Oh yeah!!! Just ask Debbie and Frank! They are the ranches two latest love struck people in the Rivers End Ranch. This book has a lot of Joy, fun and surprises in it. Thanks Ms Osbourne for one we will want to read again.
A second chance romance. Cute and funny romance between two older adults adjusting to the idea of second love. An interesting tale of a woman with grown children who comes to the ranch to start a new career and an independent lifestyle and meets a single man who finally feels he has found a woman to love.
Amazing, terrific, wonderful, all that and more. This is the best book yet in the series, I adored it!! Frank and Debbie are so real and lifelike, they just jump off the pages.
Another wonderful book in the River's End Ranch series. Debbie just moved to ranch to be near her daughter Miranda. Frank the pilot on the ranch finds himself drawn to Debbie. Clean sweet romance.
I loved the story and the characters but find it hard to believe any one could fall in love as quickly as the characters in these stories. I would like to find someone like Jaclyn to predict my future
Neither Kirsten nor her fellow writers waste time with long drawn out takes of misunderstandings, faux pas, etc. You get straight forward human behavior with amusing twists. Love it.
This was very well written. A lot of love and caring in these pages. As with all the books in the series it's clean so everyone can enjoy the story. I think each story gets better than the last. I love each of them. This is a great one.
Debbie White moves to River's End Ranch to run the Kids Korral. She meets Frank Watson retired from the Airforce, he is the pilot for the ranch. They are drawn together. So nice to have a love story for s couple in their 40's.
This is a great romance series about families being happy
This series is so great that I can’t stop reading it! I love that it is also tied into the brides of Beckham. A must read series about a family that keeps the ranch going through the ages.
What a fantastic story of a whirlwind romance. So glad the parents are back for a while too. Great story as usual and can't wait for the next trip to River's End Ranch
2 older adults, taking their time. Its a good thing especially since Debbie hadn't dated since her husband died. Surprised she wanted to get married right away.
i know it was a short story but just felt very shallow and the characters one dimensional - maybe because i haven't read the previous books in the series
