Its facilitating storyline where the main character Riya loses her memory after an accident. She is not able to recognize what is happening with her life nor any of her family members. One of the most import gifts that Riya posses is her every supportive husband Jay who stands beside her every time.
Its a perfect combination of love , family, and friendship how these things play a part when a person is not having a very good time

THE TITLE-
We often say that never presume to know a person based on the one dimensional window of the internet. A soul can’t be defined by critics, enemies or broken ties with family or friends. Neither can it be explained by posts or blogs that lack facial expressions, tone or insight into the person’s personality and intent. Until people “get that”, we will forever be a society that thinks Beautiful Mind was a spy movie and every stranger is really a friend on Facebook. Twisted is a tale which twists reality with memories. Most things are forgotten over time. Even the war itself, the life-and-death struggle people went through is now like something from the distant past. We’re so caught up in our everyday lives that events of the past are no longer in orbit around our minds. There are just too many things we have to think about every day, too many new things we have to learn. But still, no matter how much time passes, no matter what takes place in the interim, there are some things we can never assign to oblivion, memories we can never rub away. They remain with us forever, like a touchstone.
REVIEW OF THE BOOK-
I recall a quote which said to think of an experience from your childhood. Something you remember clearly, something you can see, feel, maybe even smell, as if you were really there. After all you really were there at the time, weren't you? How else could you remember it? But here is the bombshell: you weren't there. Not a single atom that is in your body today was there when that event took place. Every bit of you has been replaced many times over (which is why you eat, of course). You are not even the same shape as you were then. The point is that you are like a cloud: something that persists over long periods, while simultaneously being in flux. Matter flows from place to place and momentarily comes together to be you. Ris’s character was designed similar to this fashion, very beautifully. The memory- that persists for a long time, the character- which is instantaneous.
I loved the way the author has brought in the context of childhood in the plot. Because children grow up, we think a child's purpose is to grow up. But a child's purpose is to be a child. Nature doesn't disdain what lives only for a day. It pours the whole of itself into the each moment. We don't value the lily less for not being made of flint and built to last. Life's bounty is in its flow, later is too late. Where is the song when it's been sung? The dance when it's been danced? It's only we humans who want to own the future, too. We persuade ourselves that the universe is modestly employed in unfolding our destination. Love, too plays a central theme of the plot. The characterization of Anuj gives us the glimpse that there is never a time or place for true love. It happens accidentally, in a heartbeat, in a single flashing, throbbing moment
And finally the theme of memory does steal away the show. We are living in a culture entirely hypnotized by the illusion of time, in which the so-called present moment is felt as nothing but an infinitesimal hairline between an all-powerfully causative past and an absorbingly important future. We have no present. Our consciousness is almost completely preoccupied with memory and expectation. We do not realize that there never was, is, nor will be any other experience than present experience. We are therefore out of touch with reality. We confuse the world as talked about, described, and measured with the world which actually is. We are sick with a fascination for the useful tools of names and numbers, of symbols, signs, conceptions and ideas

“Imagination is just distorted reality.”
‘Twisted’ captures the reader’s imagination from the first page of its prologue itself. Ria, the attractive protagonist, is involved in an accident that leaves her a trifle confused about her life and the people populating it. She begins seeing visions which leave her even more confused as repressed memories of childhood spring up.
“Somehow, after the accident, it feels like all my memory is there, but it has been jolted out of its place. The bits of memory are floating around in my head and it is up to me to put each part back where it belongs.”
Ria’s son, Dhruv, means the world to her. However, she is not as sure about her husband, Jay, whom she addressed by another name after the accident – Anuj. As visions assail her, the intensity of her emotions haunts her. Her psychiatrist, Lekha, and her close friend, Sanjana, try and get the missing bits of her memory back. When she meets her neighbour, Tanmay, she is further shocked and unsettled. Many interesting characters populate the pages of Shravya Gunipudi’s thrilling book – Uncle Raghu, Aunty Haritha and Sheela, Gaurav and of course, Jhansi, Ria’s exquisite sister.
Jhansi tries to reconcile Ria with her father, the father who left her alone with her mother, and moved away so that he could take care of the former. There are many hidden resentments within Ria’s heart at his so-called betrayal. Her mother’s words resonate in her heart.
“Sometimes we are so consumed by hatred that we forget how to love.”
What are the secrets that have turned Ria’s life into a mystery? What is the connection between Lekha, Tanmay, Anuj and Jay? Why does everyone around her try and protect her from the truth of her past? Who is the mysterious Gaurav and how is he involved in the whole web that has been spun around her? Why does her dead mother make sudden, whimsical appearances before her?
‘Twisted’ tells a tale that keeps the reader on tenterhooks, as it takes a winding path that has a shock at every turn. Shravya Gunipudi’s style of narration is masterly especially since a plot, so psychological and convoluted, could have confused the readers out of their wits. Instead, it has clearly defined guideposts that aid them on.
For those that love psychological thrillers, this is a masterpiece. As it is for those who enjoy a good story!

Let me begin with the book cover. Mixed with delightful colours amidst the embossed title and the eye which intrigued me to read more, this book scores 10/10 for the selection of a beautiful and intriguing cover. The cover depicts the storyline of the book and you will understand when you read it.
The author has given a perfect blend of emotions in her work of fiction.
The story revolves around three characters which include a female protagonist who loses her memory all of a sudden. Her character is built beautifully that every girl who seems to be complex can relate to.
The story is relatable at every point. The story taught me various important lessons including,
1. You have flaws and it is okay.
2. Childhood trauma lasts a lifetime and it is important to give and have a good childhood. The depth is shown beautifully.
3. It is beautiful and important to love the ones with flaws. The way protagonist's husband takes care of her makes us smile and makes us fall in love with his character.
The revealing secrets by layer by layer put the reader on the edge of the seat.
It is a known fact that not everyone can read a book fully. I completed reading this book in less than two days. For, the way the book was woven in a way that it was impossible to put it down.
The ending is totally unexpected and was carefully shaped.
Pros:
1. simple English.
2. bold and convincing narration.
3. A script that emanated confidence of author in her narration.
4. The way the layers of secrets were revealed was amazing.
5. The mix of supernatural element was in appropriate proportion.
6. Teaches the importance of love, friendship via the characters.
7. Not clumsy. crisp and up to point.
8. Importance of confronting your fears is said beautifully.
9. Importance of good childhood is explained exactly.
10. Other various life lessons were made understood in a pleasant and deep manner.
Cons:
Few parts of narration were little draggy, but it is negligible if you compare the pros the book offers you.
Good luck to the author for more works to come in future.

The cover is attractive enough to catch attention. Tittle of the book Twisted gives the in that the plot will have lot's of twist and turns. According to the plot its apt title.
The plot is unique; the storyline is gripping as well as intriguing and the narrative takes the story forward flawlessly. The plot is strong and the author has been able to do full justice to it.
This is the story of main protagonist Ria has a troubled childhood. After an accident, she lost her memory and not able to recognize any one from her family. Jay her husband supports Ria in her every good and bad time. To know more read the story to unfold the twist and turns in the book.
The pace is perfect, neither slow nor too fast. It is steady and smooth. This novel is a perfect blend of love, friendship, emotion, hates, twist-n-turns revenge, psychological drama, and trust. Author has portrayed each and every character with utmost significance of their own and every one of them has done justice to their respective roles throughout the story. The book have been portrayed in such a way, that any reader will be able to connect with the story and live the journey with them.
The language is simple to follow which make it easier for the reader to connect to the characters in the stories and resonate with them.
The characters are well developed and one can easily relate to their actions, reactions, mental agony, outbursts, etc. My favorite character of this book was Jay. It's hard to find a such a loving husband in these days after knowing all the truth between Ria and Anuj then also he is caring and supporting Ria. If I have to sum up this book in one word, I would simply say - WOW.
Twisted by Shravya Gunipudi is a gem in itself . Starting with the cover, undoubtedly it is very enticing. Just like the painted canvas conveys a lot of hidden meaning, in the same way the cover speaks a lot . It is clearly telling the readers that life is a mixture of different shades. The bold face of the lady with contrasting colour is giving the book the desired effect . The title couldn't have been better . I loved the way a single word is used to aptly summarise the complete story in a single word .
The plot of the story is very unique. The wiping away of Ria's memory, the meeting of Ria with her mother, the contrasting characters of men , all these elements added to the uniqueness of the story. I loved the writing style of the author. The characters are very well crafted and I almost fell in love with Jay .
The narrative style is very intriguing and the language is lucid. The unexpected twists and turns were cherry on the cake and keep me glued till the end.
Just like the light and dark shades of colours on the canvas, the life is also a shades of different colours. Also I loved the point where the author beautifully explains that the experiences of the childhood have a very important role to play in ones growth. These incidents tend to stay in the subconscious mind of a child and can have very serious impacts on the child when he/she grows up. Young children are like clay and must be moulded with love and care.
The only thing I found not up to mark is the blurb. It could have been much better. Also some incidents are unnecessarily explained that slowed the pace at some points. Overall a good read.

The cover is really well designed, without boasting it. Keeping it simple and intact.
The title is really well chosen and is apt with the story in hand. Things really go way beyond the term 'twisted.'
Theme consists of many elements like memory relapse, pain, happiness, sadness, many lessons to learn.
Story is of a young girl who lost her mother during her childhood days. The way she chose to tackle the pain by subsiding a part of her memory, the way she plays with her memories just to ignore the overwhelming pain is what grabs the attentions of the reader. She tends to forget things, does she? There the question arises which will make you run for it, buy it and read in a single breath. The selfless immense depth of a mother for a daughter is what makes the story way much interesting than watching a movie. The amount of suspense and thrill added to it spices things up. Everything seems unreal yet realistic. The author has a fine approach, her writing and speculation of things what matters the most and its commendable.
The book really touched my heart and soul. The way it has been written meticulously with little flaws at some places like minor errors, though it can be completely ignored with the flawless attempt made to justify with it.
Language is mature and really amazing. Narration is kept excellent.
A worth read, a poignant story touching many lives. The characterization and synchronization is what intrigued me to finish it in a single read. A must buy, a must read, a page turner, life changer, willing to read it again & again.

If I have to say in two words then Twisted by Shravya Gunipudi is a page turner. Yes, the book is really interesting with lots of twists and turns. The sudden introduction of a new twist throughout the story keeps the reader glued to the book till end. The plot is quite unique and interesting. The beginning of the novel is marvellous though after a few point I felt that the story or rather the narration dragged a little. The story is revealed in layers and is intriguing.
The characterisations are good. However, I found most of the characters were quite unrealistic. Jay, Ria’s husband, has literally no grey shade which makes the character quite unbelievable. Also, all the men of Ria’s family were disgusting. Even her aunt and mother were also pathetic. Who discusses such matters (husband’s affairs and details of married life) with a 15 your old teenager? However, maybe it was necessary to bring Ria to a point that changed the course of her life.

Twisted by Shravya Gunipudi:
Twisted is a gripping narrative which has a realistically flawed protagonist named Ria, which in turn makes this novel highly relatable. So the plot goes around an accident that swept out her memory, or rather, that is what she believed. That incident was followed by sudden flashbacks from her childhood and her visualization of her mother, who made dramatic virtual entries in her world, ever since she left the earth. While all this is enough to trouble her, fate nevertheless shows her glimpses from her past wherein she seemed to be happily married to another man named, ‘Anuj’. What is it all about? Why does her past torment her this way? How come she was allowed to leave the hospital on the very day of the accident, even though she seemed to remember nothing after the accident?
As a reader, I could literally feel every bit of what was happening to Ria. However, I personally felt that Ria’s character could have been a little less of a damsel in distress. Anyhow her flaws gave the entire plot a realistic appeal. Her emotions, the ‘why s’ and ‘how s’ everything made sense. The elements, plots and subplots were just perfectly placed that ensured the smooth yet thrilling flow of the story. The cover and the title rightly justified the book. It was indifferent overall.
Twisted is a gripping narrative which has a realistically flawed protagonist named Ria, which in turn makes this novel highly relatable. So the plot goes around an accident that swept out her memory, or rather, that is what she believed. That incident was followed by sudden flashbacks from her childhood and her visualization of her mother, who made dramatic virtual entries in her world, ever since she left the earth. While all this is enough to trouble her, fate nevertheless shows her glimpses from her past wherein she seemed to be happily married to another man named, ‘Anuj’. What is it all about? Why does her past torment her this way? How come she was allowed to leave the hospital on the very day of the accident, even though she seemed to remember nothing after the accident?
As a reader, I could literally feel every bit of what was happening to Ria. However, I personally felt that Ria’s character could have been a little less of a damsel in distress. Anyhow her flaws gave the entire plot a realistic appeal. Her emotions, the ‘why s’ and ‘how s’ everything made sense. There are very few books which I have read in just one sitting. I read this particular book in 3 hours straight. It is engaging and gripping till the very end.

Cover - it is colourful and definitely attractive, giving an insight of the title as well which goes on well with the story.
Pace -medium paced, the last few pages will make you think.
Blurb - it is just the superficial covering about the book and there is a lot to the book more than you think.
Plot - it has nice twists and turns definitely.
The prologue is really beautiful and slow.
There is slight funny moments in the book too.
Themes covered- love, revenge, psychological trauma.
Characterization of the protagonist is done well as for the other characters is very little
The book felt stretched in the middle.
Two conversations keep happening of her mother and hers whom she still keeps on seeing even after being her dead for her while.
Her head has played with the memories of her and has hurt her and the one's who are close to her too, will she cope up?
Does she have a happy ending?

While talking about her writing this time, I am running short with words. It is unreservedly a WOW work done by her which can definitely win the hearts of each reader, I can claim. The narration used-in here is up to the mark with the language, characters, theme and plot altogether. It was a real difficult task for me to find the errors while reading the book, in-fact haven't got any time to think to find them. Apart from her story, one thing which I loved the most was her imaginative desirable thought to hack the plot-line. The supernatural entity helped her a lot with mysteries and emotions. The catchy cover attracts people, the title is perplexing and the story is full of love, emotions, the twist-n-turns which a book demands for, ultimately, the book sailed well till the end.

Imagination is just distorted reality. Well I started believing this quote after reading the book ‘Twisted’ written by ‘Shravya Gunipudi’. This book is a blend of drama, philosophy, romance, psychology and emotions. There are a lot of twists and turns in the story and reality and imagination was always separated by a thin line. I loved the approach biographer penned down the story beautifully and effectively. tome conceal attracted me at first. It says a allocation how it’s available to be in book. self-same captivating protection indeed. And title is captivating as satisfactory as the cover. It’s closely tally with the story plot. Such an eyeball easily spread title and wrap ended me to study this book. Story blurb gives insight of the story in reality impressive. I never thought imagination can be this weird and this dangerous until I read this book. Ria, the main character of the novel had this weird habit of forgetting things, particularly she had a very bad memory and after forgetting everything she live in her own created world. She remembered very little of the past and rest she live on her own imaginary world. I like the plot and particularly the end of the novel when I got to know who was the villain. I completed this whole book in two sitting only. The title of the book is too apt as the story is also full of twists. I really enjoyed reading this book.

When I started reading this book, I had no idea that I am going to read such an amazing story. My curiosity started getting pitch when I completed almost half the story. Just like Ria, I also wanted to know what was happening, who was right and who was wrong. The author described all the character in such a detailed way that I can imagine all of them and I felt exactly like Ria. I felt really bad when I read the last part of the book and also happy at the same time because Jay(Ria’s husband) was such a nice and loving person who did everything that a husband must do in order to protect her wife. Thank you Shravya Gunipudi. You had no idea that you saved me from a boring weekend.

Twisted deals with the story of a girl named Ria, who had a very bad childhood and in order to get out of all this trauma she willingly hid a part of her memory. In this novel, author shows that there is a very thin line between love and hatred and time has the power to convert hatred into love and vis-à-vis. I just bought it. ‘Twisted’ again is a book that I felt so connected with. This novel is a blend of love, emotion and drama. When I first picked this novel, I had no idea what was that about. I started reading this on a fine Sunday morning and by the end of the day, I was able to finish the whole book. The story was so beautifully written and all the characters were described in such a great detail that I had a picture of all those characters on my mind. I was remain connected with the story. The whole story rotates around the main character of the novel, Ria and Jay (her husband). I like the way author penned down the whole story and I would recommend this novel to my friends for sure.

I read a lot of novels but ‘Twisted’ story is somewhat different from all those. In this novel, the condition of a girl Is shown who was mentally tortured from her own family. Up to a certain extent author tried to show reality about men of our society and I kind of agree with her. I seriously sympathize with the main character of the novel, Ria. She had a very bad memory and such a weird childhood. Author penned down the story in a very beautiful way explain in great details about every character involved. I am glad that I chose this book over going out with friends.
