Sabrina is a young woman of 16 years who loves to dance. Ballet is life. However, it becomes pretty obvious quite quickly that her life isn't her own. That doesn't stop her heart from beating for the one it chooses. Chase is in the military and after one glance at Sabrina, he knows she's the one he wants to spend the rest of his life with and the feeling is mutual. Vamar is an immortal who will stop at nothing to get what or who he wants and he definitely wants Sabrina. Why? I'm sure the truth of that will unravel as the story progresses.
Humina Humina!! If you've ever read from Marissa Honeycutt before, then you know exactly how I feel right now coming out of this book.
My brain has been scrambled. I don't know up from down, left from right. Like a glutton for punishment... no really, I'm just a huge fan of the dark side... I dived right back in to the dirty and depraved mind of this author and I have NO REGRETS!! If you haven't read from this author before but happen to love all shades of darkness, then I strongly urge you to pick up this sweet little novella. It's a remarkably chilling introduction to what I can tell will be an incredible series. I need the next book PRONTO!!

Master Of My Body: A Dark Romance series ( Finding Sabrina Book 1) the setting is told multiple years after Life of Anna. Ending in the present. Ten Years after. You do not have to read Life of Anna. However, to truly understand this series, I recommend you do.
After The Life Of Anna, I still had questions and hoping to get answers; I don’t expect to get them in this series, but here is hoping. On my dark scale, this is black. I have a feeling more into the series it will turn pitch black.
As always ahead to the author's warning, not trying to turn away anyone, my concern is there are multiple triggers. The author always goes into a dark place in her books and is very graphic.

This book is about pain, pleasure, darkness, and some love; I would chalk it up more of a dark erotica tale.
“Wouldn’t it be better to not feel the shame?” he whispered. “To just enjoy the depravity. You’ll never escape it, Sabrina. I won’t let you. You will become like me one way or the other. Just give in.”
Keep an open mind and be prepared to being and have the author push your limits. The author has a way of capturing your attention and leaves you wanting more. She is quickly becoming one of my favorite authors. I am off to read the next book after that cliffhanger.
On a side note, I would love to know if the author is a local to Massachusetts. Many authors write about Boston. I can always tell if they are locals or not by the small details. But they never write about western Massachusetts. Or she did her research. As parts of western Massachusetts is significant in the performing arts,

Happy birthday to me! No really... it's my birthday! And I decided I was reading this today... I was feeling in the mood for some dark. And if you've read any of Ms. Honeycutt's work before, (Life of Anna series, anyone?) you know what I mean when I say dark. Make no mistake... this is next level abyss kind of dark, like there is no leaving a trail of breadcrumbs to help you find your way out of the maze... because that scary-ass monster that is chasing you - ate them, kind of dark. The note from the author at the very beginning... trigger warnings - lots of them, those always give me twisted pretzel tummy feels. And I knew right away, that I headed into the most gnarled of the kinked when I read this one.
No spoilers... not a one, being as though I don't roll like that anyway... but this is only a novella, and I don't want to take anything away from the book. I'll simply say... the writing was flawless. I could envision the scenes in front of me, (uh yikes!), and her brilliant characterizations are so vivid and nuanced that I cannot wait for the next book to be released. 4.5 stars.

Dark, dark, dark......loved, loved, loved! No one writes this kind of darkness like Marissa Honeycutt, that is for sure. Major triggers for some so be warned! There will be cringe-worthy moments.......take deep breaths and keep an open mind!
Fans of "Life of Anna" will love the beginning of this series and I am seriously looking forward to the next books coming out.

Holy Shit. THIS book! I've been patiently (okay maybe not so patiently LOL) waiting for another book by Marissa Honeycutt ever since I finished her Life of Anna series. That is my FAVORITE series, so she had a lot to live up to in my mind. Master of My Body did NOT disappoint! This book is the first in her Finding Sabrina series where we meet Sabrina and dive into a world of pain, pleasure, and unexpected twistedness that is her life.

Marissa is the Queen of Dark Erotic Romance, and this book is definitely that! It's deliciously dark and devilishly twisted. It will have you swooning with butterflies in your tummy one minute and cringing with one eye open the next! This book is a full spectrum of emotions that will leave you breathlessly anticipating the release of the next book!
"Denial will only extend the pain. Embrace it. Embrace who you are. A slut who gets off on pain. A killer who doesn't get her hands dirty, except with cum."

This one packed one helluva morsel of twisted!
Remember The Life of Anna Series? Well, if you haven't read it, that's ok... This series is set in the same 'world,' yet it's a new series, no worries. But. You really should read The Life of Anna anyway. Just sayin.' I remember The Immortals from TLoA, it's been awhile since I read it, so this really seems new to me. Immortals, an immortal bad guy is back from the dark and is on a depraved path of greatness. Sabrina ties into some unknown powers and things. I'm super intrigued in what's to come. It wouldn't be Marissa Honeycutt without twisted with a side of sick. When she slaps a warning, you better read it. Haha! This is a novella and will leave you mad for the next one. I wanted, need more more more!!! I highlighted a few passages for my twisted people, let me see if I can find one to show the characters and darkness. If you like unconventional, dark kinky reads, you'll want to read this one. Trust me. If you can't handle non-con, etc, read the warnings.

I love when I jump into a book because I have faith in an author. This time it caught me out. The words vortex and immortals had me wondering what I let myself in for. However this book was a great surprise to me and shocked me that I enjoyed it so much.
I liked Sabrina and Chase and really disliked Vamar.
A really well written dark and twisted story. I'm hoping it gets dark and more twisted as we read more of the story.
I've got to say I haven't read much of The Life of Anna but I'll certainly be reading more while waiting on more of this story.

So when I read that there would be another series, that is from the same world as The Life of Anna, I was desperate to read it. I haven't read anything else since the Anna series, that has even come close to that level of Dark, not done in the same way anyway.
I didn't realise that this first part would be quite so short, but it was a really good read. I think this series is going to be really addictive, just like the Anna series was. We get some of the background details, but not a huge amount just yet. Enough to understand the basics. I already like Sabrina, she kicks back big time, and I like that. It took Anna a long time to really start to use her power, and Sabrina seems to just have the knack early on.
I still have a lot of questions and confusion over some stuff, but hopefully that will all unravel once the next part comes along. Although some parts were quite nasty and gritty, it hasn't quite got to the level of darkness that felt seemed to run through the whole of the Anna series, but I think it will build up to that, as some of the scenes were getting quite nasty. Yep, I'm odd and like the dark and nasty stuff.

This is the first part in a new book series for Marissa and what a start.
I am not going to say much really because I do not want to spoil it for others.
I was so excited to get my hands on this book after reading the “Life of Anna” which was a great series too.
I have been so intrigued to see what Marissa would come up. If this book has anything to go by, I am going love this series too.
It is dark and twisted not too much in this one but I have a feeling it is going to get darker as we go further into the series.
Some characters are very likeable and some I think I am going to hate,
I like Sabrina she feels she is compelled to be a ballerina and she cannot explain why... the last thing she expected was to fall in love...
Awe Chase, I really like him he follows his father’s footsteps and joins elite Green Berets. Love is the last thing on his mind until he meets Sabrina.
Then you have Vamar who wants revenge against the father of the Immortals. Nothing and no one will stand in his way when he wants something he is going to have it and he wants Sabrina.
Looking forward to the next in the series, this one left me wanting more.

Once again this author has knocked me on my butt!!! She always seems to blow me away with her books and this one was no exception.
I don't think any other author writes quite like Marissa. She writes DARK!!! But always includes a great storyline that has you racing to the end to discover what happens. Or, if you're like me, not racing as I don't want it to end lol.
In this book, the first book of this series, we basically get a background on who the characters are, what they are, and their importance to the story. We discover who the good guys are, and the bad!! This story brings us up to the current date, setting us up nicely wanting more.
Marissa's love of the Russian ballet is a godsend that pours thru in her work but is never overdone. It adds a delightful delicate touch to the otherwise darkened words.
I have a growing love for this author and may now have to stalk her and harass her for my next fix. Pleeeeeease hurry Marissa!!!

I was fortunate enough to be a beta reader for this book.
First let me say I have not read The Life of Anna so this world is completely new to me. I will say I still found this an easy read. I was able to understand the characters without issue, so it can be read as a standalone without any prior knowledge.
Ms. Honeycutt keeps you on your toes in this dark world. She uses this installment to introduce the characters and back story, which I felt she did without sacrificing plot. Master of My Body is a full quick read but it will have you completely intrigued. There is so much more I need to know. I cannot wait for what is next and I will be going back to read The Life of Anna very soon!

It's been a bit since I've read the Life of Anna series and this book takes place in the same depraved world, which I highly recommend reading before you dip your toes into this dark and twisted novella. I'm excited, anxious and a tad bit scared to continue with this spin off series because I'm sure it's going to be just as shocking and perverse as LOA, but I won't deny loving the intense emotions I felt while reading it.

I will start with I LOVED The Life of Anna series. The Immortals and the world Ms. Honeycutt had constructed has stuck with me for years.
I couldn't wait to get my hands on this story.
This is a novella introducing the main players in The Finding Sabrina series. This was a quick read, but it was a complete story. When dealing with the Immortal and the Elders, I know to expect very dark and disturbing activities - this does not disappoint.
Master of My Body has piqued my interest and I'm almost afraid to see what comes next!

I have so many word and then I am speechless if that is even possible!!! I had been holding off reading this book because I wasn't sure I was ready to dive back into the deep, dark, crazy, rabbit hole that is the mind of Marissa Honeycutt. I knew going into this book that it would have elements similar to The Life of Anna series (which I ADORE!). I knew that this would be a spin-off and that the possibility of the darkness was clear.
OH WAS IT EVER!!! I was a little scared that the warning in the beginning of the book was as detailed as it was, it just seemed as if I was being reminded of how crazy LoA was and that I should expect something similar......OH BUT NO!! That is not what I received per say. Yes, it helped to know about the world that was introduced in LoA but this starting book (Finding Sabrina series) will obviously be a completely different journey into this crazy world. Sabrina is a 16-yr old ballerina that feels different but shies away from being the center of attention. Chase is this 21-yr old Army officer that is listening to his calling. That is all I am going to say because this journey is going to be EPIC and I can't wait to take this ride with them.

Ms Honeycutt does give very clear warnings, and yet her writing is so good, that I just had to dive in again. Having read Anna's story (which I would highly recommend, but be warned!) I knew that I had no choice really, because for all the depravity, there is always a light - even if it is far away and of no help at all.
This short introduction draws the faithful reader straight back into the terribly dark evilly erotic version of the world we inhabited in Life of Anna. This is one of those books which you cannot put down, but also are fearful of turning the page. I cannot wait to get the next book in the series, and have no doubt I will be just as addicted to the story as last time. Don't judge me until you too have read the book.

I love going in blind with my books these days you get more out of them with the thrill, surprise and this little one did just that.
This was like a delectable little taster of what's to come.
It was so good being transported back into the Immortals world again.
So loved The Life of Anna series and now I know I'm going to love Sabrina just as much as Anna.

WOW,just....wow! After reading The Life of Anna,i knew Marissa created a pitch-black world....one filled with so much evil,that it hurt just reading...And now she's returned to that world to tell Sabrina's story.I guess i'd better brace myself for what's to come....and hope that i won't have to wait too long for the next installment, Master of my Heart. Because the suspence is already killing me!

Oh, how I've missed the immortal world of Anna. Now, we have Sabrina. An incredibly short read that has my interest thoroughly piqued and ready to get this party started. Hoping it gets as dark as The Life of Anna did, as I have sorely missed a true dark read. So, Miss Honeycutt, I say bring it! 😃

Right from the first chapter, we get a taste of how dark this series will be. Vamar Thilduri is not one to be messed with. He’s dark, he’s dirty, he’s going to accomplish what no other has!
Sabrina Mansfield is 16 when she is at an intensive dance retreat. Her first time being away from home. She dances beautifully. She is noticed. She is asked to move there to dance but decides to go home and grow up some more. The one thing that happens while she is at the retreat, she meets Christopher (Chase).
Christopher “Chase” Ralston just graduated from West Point. A newly appointed lieutenant in the army. Home to spend time with his mother before being sent away he meets a beautiful, young dancer that he can not forget.
Asking her to ‘wait’ for him to return, they make promises to each other. One thing Chase never expected though… To never hear from her again.
As this is the first book in this new series. The pieces are all introduced. The first move has been made and now we bite our nails to wait for book 2 to arrive. As with the LOA series, this book is dark. Do Not attempt to read this series if you can not handle the darkness. There is more paranormal themes in this book which took me a bit to understand or at least try to understand. This is a quick read that before I knew it, it was over and I needed more!!!

If you have read this Author before then you know to heed the warning! This book IS truly dark, devious and intense!
I, like a lot of you have been eagerly anticipating this book. And holy crapola's was it worth the wait!
Be still my beating heart! Marissa Honeycutt has given me a Villain that has it all! Not only does Vamar exude self control, he is ruthless, manipulative, evil & down right cruel! Admittedly, I wasn't sure if I'd ever loathe another villain like I loathed Devin (from: Life Of Anna) but Vamar wooooosh! I found myself wanting to reach through my kindle to strangle him.
Something tells me that there is a lot more to both Sabrina and Chase than what meets the readers eye. And the surface of these characters has only been scratched in this first book. I truly believe they will rival my love for Anna & Alex. On pins and needles with excited anticipation for book 2!
If you are thinking of purchasing this book it is well worth it. A definite page turner!

Sabrina is a ballet dancer. When she is 16, she is taken by Vamar because of her partial Immortality. He wants to control her because he can control the world through her. He tortures her and warps her mind.
Meanwhile, Chase, Sabrina's handsome soldier, has been searching for her for years. She promised to wait for him, but he never heard from her.
This book is amazing. Marissa has outdone herself and has a winner on her hands. My only problem? Now I have to wait for the next one to come out.

This has some serious LoA vibes, returning me back to a few weeks ago when I finally read that series! One of my most depraved reads, yet I could not get enough. Master of My Body was the exact same, I couldn't put it down and before I realised, I had already finished!
Sabrina's story is complex, still so much to find out. What started as an innocent, normal story soon turned into a dark place with corrupting figures. Chase must be totally out of his mind.
Interesting to see how this story plays out, I have many ideas but I'm sure Marissa will take a sharp turn into the land of true depravity.

You never know what you’re going to get when entering Marissa Honeycutt’s dark, twisted mind. You must read her stories with an open mind, as your heart will swoon one minute, and your stomach churning to the horrors you’re facing the next.
This story already has me so intrigued! What is Vamar’s purpose and end game? Will Sabrina ever be free? Will Chase save her? I can’t wait to get more of Sabrina’s back story and see what’s in store for her and Chase and how they both fit into this world. And those last few chapters! Ah! I didn’t want it to end and I have to know what is going to happen!
