The author has an excellent sense of humor throughout this book without being cheesy. Even with the humor, this book has a lot of suspense and thank God that the vampires make fun of sparkly vampires. I felt like this book is an accurate depiction of how vampires would be if they existed (or do they?? I'm confused after reading this book) in the modern world today.

Honestly, this book is for anyone and everyone and is a great casual read. It has a great storyline, good dynamic characters and a dash of humor and suspense to keep it interesting.

This book was fun and a good read! Honestly, it was nothing like what I was expecting. In part, it is a tale of the main character and his struggle with vampirism and faith as he has both and fighting for what is right for humans and for vampires. Posner has an easy to read writing style and flows well and moves the story forward. I loved this book! Can't wait for the next one!

This isn't your typical vampire story. Tongue in cheek humor instead of flowery descriptions.
Can be a little cheesy and religious at times, more back story would be nice.
I am interested in seeing what comes next.
Part of the four stars is my general love of Vampire stories in general.

Reading this book was fun. I enjoyed the tone and character development. The writing could use a bit of tightening up just to make it a cleaner read and it wasn't a page turner for me, but it was a perfect commuter read to bookend my work day. Also being able to read it on mythmachine.com on my phone gave me a break from carrying an extra book around.
