This is a collection of 21 short stories and 3 poems written specifically for people suffering from memory loss, so all the pieces are short and don’t require much concentration to follow. The set of stories are a mixture of nostalgia, loss, longing or love. I’ve given it 5 stars as I think it’s well-suited to its target audience. If you like complex, convoluted plots, this isn’t for you.

Proceeds from book sales go to the Alzheimer’s Society. (Disclaimer: I know one of the authors from the Ex-Cathedra writing group.)

I was given this book to read because of my interest in those who are living with dementia. The tales are perfect for a quick tea break read, however for those who have dementia they are easy to read and some are useful for reminiscence purposes. I particularly loved the poem about the cat!
