Welcome to 19th Century London, where the elite appear to be enjoying and flaunting the finer luxuries of life; the gentlemen's clubs, wealthy connections and countless privileges, but behind closed doors life is a lot seedier. From prostitution, murder, criminals, and court cases, to bullying, secrets, lies and deceit – these Jekyll and Hyde upper class characters think they are an unstoppable force to be reckoned with. Sir Braden and Lady Collett are a complex couple with a big age gap. Viscount Childon sets his heart on being Lady Collett's hero and saving her from the evil clutches of her husband. But his quest seems nigh-on impossible. He encounters obstacle after obstacle, uncovers lots of shady encounters, and Sir Braden's loyal supporters seem to be watching his every move and protecting him at every turn. Will Lady Collett escape the clutches of her brutish, vicious husband? Will she and Viscount Childon find their happy ever after? Will the police discover the real murderers before it's all too late? Will the prostitution ring be exposed, along with its high profile clients? Find out this and so much more in this thoroughly entertaining, intelligent and psychologically gripping love story and historical crime thriller.
I was born in an area of The Midlands known as The Black Country because of the heavy industry which was located there and the dirt and grime which hung in the air from the factories and foundries.
I was educated at local schools and colleges but my real love, in fact, it would be true say my passion, is history and putting this together with my love of writing I feel I can honestly say I am doing something I thoroughly enjoy.
I have always had a vivid imagination and whilst as a child I was often told off about this by my teachers at school, it has paid dividends in the end.
I have never really looked upon myself as an author, but simply as someone who enjoys telling stories, and if you enjoy reading them as much as I enjoy writing them, then it is all worthwhile.
However, if none of you are buying them, it is completely pointless.
I have just had my fifth historical novel published entitled Her Father's Daughter. It is set in the 18th century. I do hope you will enjoy reading it.
