Sex with a good friend, no strings attached, no commitments. Sounds great, right?
Wrong. So wrong.
We thought we had beat the system. That we could be the friends that go into it eyes wide open with no delusions, but everyone else was right. That can’t work. Someone always falls.
And now we have to deal with the consequences.

*Undone is part 2 of Alex and Shriller's story. It is highly recommended that you read Unraveled first.

3.5- 4 Alex and Shriller Stars

Firstly, thank you very much to the author Nicole, who surprised me with a message last week saying the ARC for Undone had been sent. I was delighted to receive it as I had devoured the previous book, Unraveled, which ended on the mother of all cliffies! I was itching to know what was going to happen with Shriller and Alex.

This review is my honest opinion.

The book picks up 5 months on from Shriller ending things with Alex and both of them have moved on. Shriller is back to his old ways of hook ups with no emotional attachments and Alex has started a relationship with someone else. For me, that was why I rated it lower than other books in this series , because I don't like seeing the H/ h with other people. It is purely personal and I am fully aware that for many readers that is not a big deal but for people like me with a total Cinderella complex it coloured the story.

If you are big on angst, this will likely be a 5 star book.

The secondary characters are all so brilliantly written and they all contribute something to the story. You could read Unraveled and Undone as a pair but I think it would be best to start the series from the start so you don't miss out on all the dynamics and nuances. The story is well written and it absolutely had me turning the pages.

I liked Shriller way more than Alex in this book. In fact I thought her really grew as a character and I really felt for him at times.
For me, Alex made some awful choices and I didn't feel like she learnt from her mistakes all that much.

Although seeing them with other people wasn't what I wanted, I could totally appreciate how , out of all the characters, this couple are likely the one couple where it could work and they would survive it because of how they are both individually and together. They are both brutally honest, sexual, frank, passionate and both scared to commit and take a headfirst dive into the pool of emotion and love.

I was so glad to see that there will be more for the Monroe clan and their friends. I am a tad addicted to this group and so much is still happening!!!

HEA? Happy for now I would say. But yes, it ends in true Shriller and Alex style which was lovely.
Cheating? Both are with other people and were apart from each other at the time.

so before I start, you need to read #5 before reading this one.
I can honestly say I forgive Nicole Dykes for ending #5 the way she did, this book is seriously amazing, I LOVE Alex and Shriller, though I have to say, I was unsure for a litre bit throughout this book whether I preferred Shriller or Chris, but it's Shriller. Alex and Shriller are definitely meant to be.
This book has everything, there's two hot men wanting the same woman, but it is always going to be one who has Alex's heart.
I did feel sorry for Chris and I can only hope that he gets his happy ending, but I am over the moon with how this book has ended ❤

ARC provided by the author for an honest review.

I can now forgive the author for the ending of the first book - loved the ending to this one and it left me wanting more, as all this series does.

The characters stayed true to themselves and it wasn't all hearts and flowers - just realism in how they are. The side characters were great as always - I want to be part of the Monroe family!

We are back with Alex and Shriller but he took off and she is trying to date Chris but it's been five or six months now and no one has seen Shriller. When Jax goes to his house in California he sees a woman hightailing out the door because Shriller told her that it couldn't happen again. Jax chews him out for baking on the family and convinces him to come back for Thanksgiving but he isn't so sure he can handle seeing Alex. Alex is trying to commit to Chris who is a nice guy and perfect for her on paper but her body and heart belong to Shriller but he's gone.
I was so glad to read more on Alex and Shriller and the end of the book said more Monroe family to come and I can't wait!!!!

*I received this book free from the author in exchange for an honest review*

Alex and Shriller are finally back to continue their story. YAY!!

If you read Unraveled you know that Alex and Shriller thought they could beat the odds. Sex with a friend with no strings attached. This story picks up right where Unraveled left off (Yes, we all remember the cliffhanger).

Shriller has been gone for five months trying to get back into his racing career. He has not talked to any of his family back home because everything reminds him of Alex. Jax shows up at his house and gives him the third degree for forgetting his family and demands he comes home for the holidays.

Alex is trying to move on and has started dating Chris. They have a great relationship. He really is a nice guy and you kind of feel for him in this story. But Alex knows that her heart and body are made for Shriller. Once he finally comes back into town she has a hard time forgiving him for leaving and becomes crazy mad every time he is around.

I really love this story. You can feel the hurt, sadness, love and family vibe as you are reading the pages. There were times I had to scream and cry. I think Nicole did an awesome job on this and giving the readers some closure. Alex and Shriller are meant to be together.

First if you haven't read Unraveled. Stop right here go and one click that bad boy, because you will want to be all over Adam Shriller.

Ok so this book lefts off where Book 1 ended and it ended with my mouth hanging open say NOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I loved the anticipation in waiting to see what happens at this point between Alex and Adam.

So when this beauty landed on my kindle I squealed. Adam and Alex these two friends to lovers to enemies and my hope is that they would go back to being lovers. I wanted them together so bad they fit so well IMO.

Alex is sassy, badass and she will cut your throat and tell it like it is. I loved that about her.
Adam well shit sexy biker need I say more. He's hot, he's a bit alpha and he knows his way around a bedroom.

But these two have their issues and don't make things easy for themselves. What you get is some shots taken at each other and man Alex can throw down. Adam also gives it right back to her. Their relationship is not easy, it's definitely got some ups and downs as they navigate each other trying to figure out what it is they both really want.

I loved this book it gave me the right amount of grit, a little bit of drama, some laughs, hot sexy scenes that will leave you saying DAYUMMM and a bit of heartbreak. The Monroe family all together is just ah may zing. They are a family that I have grown to love.

I want more but this is supposed to be the end of this series. Or is it????

It's been 5 months since Shriller fled Kansas to go back to his home in California. He's mentally having a hard time getting back on his bike even though his physical therapist says he's ready. He gets a surprise visit from a very angry Jax. With Shriller dealing with his own personal problems he forgets about all the people he cares about. Shriller agrees to go back to Kansas and visit at Christmas time and try to make up for missing Thanksgiving. While there he has a hard time dealing with Alex and her new guy. This begins to create a bit of hostility between Shriller and Alex. If this bothers you, you can imagine what it's doing to everyone else. To see how things turn out between Shriller and Alex you need to read this book to find out. I loved this book and I'm sure that you will, as well!

Undone is book 5.5 in The Monroe family. You need to have read book 5 Unraveled which can be read as a standalone to know whats going on.
Undone picks up right where Unraveled left us in a cliffhanger..

I swear i wanted to punch Alex in the face a few times in this book, because she pissed me off lol. Ofcourse it was in a good way more to wake her up to what shes actually doing.
Poor Adam still didnt know where he stood with her.
I cant give too much away and I've probably said more than I should.
This book is raw emotionally packed and charged.
I loved how it ended and Nicole you are forgiven for the cliffhanger in the last book.
Great read and worth the wait.

After reading Unraveled (which if you haven't, definitely read before this one) I have been desperately waiting for Undone. And I am now so very happy. All the sass, sarcasm and steam is just perfect. This entire series has become a fast favourite and will be one I will read again and again xoxoxo

O.M.G!!!! This book made all the angst I felt after the cliffy ending of Unraveled (btw, you MUST read before this book)
totally worth the wait. I am in love with Shriller, but I really also started to fall for Chris. I love how a good book makes you fall in love with all the characters, no matter how small they may be in a particular book. This author totally does that in this series. You want to be a part of the family as well and live in their lives. You will love this series, but start from the beginning to get a total feel for each of the characters. So glad she decided to continue this series.

Wow! The conclusion of Alex and Shriller's story couldn't have been a better one! As I suspected their story was far from straight forward and there were times where my heart was literally in my mouth. I have to admit that I dragged this book out for as long as possible as I wasn't ready to say goodbye. It was an epic conclusion to what can only be described as an epic love story.

I loved this story! It was a great read and a great way to finish Alex and Shriller's story! They didn't have an easy road as they are both stubborn. You definitely need to read book 5, as it is the first part of Alex and Shriller's story. This one picks up a few months after that one ends. Both Alex and Shriller have tried to go on with their lives but they are both having issues, neither wanting to admit it. They have trouble being around each other as they are just drawn to each other but with the possibility of others in the picture it makes for a volatile situation. The sex is explicit and blended into the story well. There is plenty to keep your attention. The characters have had me engaged and connected since the first book in the Monroe series and with each one, I just get more attached. I'm never ready for a book to end but always ready for the characters to get their happily ever after. This story was very well written and had great pacing and flow. It draws you in from beginning to end. I love getting to catch up with the other characters from previous books and just the family. They are all so close and so it is done seamlessly. Nicole Dykes has created a fantastic family and series that I never want to end!

I will start this out by saying, if you haven't read unraveled, then don't read this one. You'll need to. read unraveled first.
Alex and Shriller are very unique couple.. They are stubborn and frustrating but man, when they get their shit together, it's explosive! Alex is messed up.. she doesn't know how to get over Shriller,so she moves on the best she can.. Shriller,on the other, hand, is working on his racing career along with moving past Alex... let's just say neither is working. He deals with a lot in this book and makes some stupid mistakes.. He doesn't know how to deal with this love thing, it's all new and fresh to him. Alex is not fully being honest with herself and others, it takes a man with no filter whatsoever, to make them see the light. These two are so fun characters even if most of the time, they drive you crazy! The author did a fabulous job with these two and it was so the perfect way to end the Monroe series! They may not be all blood related but they'are a family and they make it work, messed up or not!

Besides for the cover that is super sexy without having to show too much skin, the story itself is just as 'colourful', but reveals a lot more skin. This series started off on a sketchy note for me due to lack of proofreading letting the story down. I am extremely thankful that this author has since invested in her books as the quality of her books have improved book by book and now I find myself completely enthralled with her work. In order for anyone to fully appreciate this book, I would highly recommend you start the series from the beginning, I can guarantee you will not be disappointed. This specific book is the second part of Shriller - The bad@ss, naughty biker boy, and Alex - The Kick@ss best friend, that takes no prisoners. The sexual tension is so thick between them it makes you sweat! This story is all about how we define who we are meant to be with and the torturous way we find our happily ever after. Well done on yet another successful book, I can not wait to read more!

RECEIVED COPY FOR HONEST REVIEW
Finally get to read Alex and Shriller's HEA.
I have always loved the Monroe Family. That love extends out to those that are not blood related but love related. However, I will say that Alex is my least favorite. I know I am in the minority with this one. I love Shriller but Alex had to grow on me. I know she has issues but I didn't like how she used Chris and the way she behaved with Shriller. She attacked him at every turn. I may be hard on her but I thought she was very immature. That being said, I liked the story because it is reality. People do that to each other and survive just like Shriller and Alex. The family dynamics is great and keeps expanding. Which makes room for more stories. I love it. Can't wait until the next drama unfolds.

Wooooo!!! At freaking last. I mean do not get me wrong, i could of threw my kindle a few times, but it happened!!!! I kinda jumped for joy.

I actually felt kinda bad for Chris, he was perfect, but not perfect enough for Alex. Who compares to Shriller, right? Alex and Shriller are not perfect, but my god they are perfect for each other. The chemistry was smoking.

Now i am hoping Chris gets a book because i sorta like him too!

Amazing read. Loved it!!!

This book deserves more than the 5 stars I'm able to give it. I feel like I was waiting longer than I did for this book, but it was beyond worth the wait.

I was screaming at Alex and Shriller multiple times each throughout this book but in the end it went exactly how I wanted it to, like I couldn't have written it better myself.

I love Nicole Dykes books, this series is one of my favourites ever and I am sad that this is the last book. I am hoping we see more of this family in the future

Oh my gosh, I almost had a heart attack when Nicole left me hanging, but Undone made the cliffhanger worthwhile. I love the Monroe series but Alex and Shriller are my favorites. Alex is the badass I always wanted to be, but scared like everyone. I love how their smartass quips and friendship evolved into so much more. Nicole is talented and keeps you wanting more. I highly recommend reading the entire Monroe series. One of my favorites to date!

Perfect ending to a crazy hot love story!

This was my favorite Monroe book so far!

The angst in this story was intense. I was yelling at these two to figure their shit out throughout the whole thing.

I’m glad Shriller and Alex got two books, their story was packed with too much to fit into one.
Shriller is still crazy hot and Alex is still just plain crazy.

Perfect!

I had to hold my breath a few times during this one. Afraid I was gonna lose my cool while reading and yell at a few fictional characters! This one was worth the cliffhanger and I can honestly say this book is my favorite of the series. Read the series, do it....love it... I do!

I think Shriller and Alex by far are my favorite. I laughed i got anger and bawled my eyes out.
Just how strong and almost pigheaded they both are, could have totally ended their love. But family, love and crazy "Monroe Family " triumph and holds everyone together.
Love love this family

A great conclusion

This was a perfect way for the drama of Shriller and Alex to be wrapped up. They fought each other, other people and their attraction to each other before coming to the same realisation everyone else could see. Fabulously written and entertaining.
