Moonshadow: A fantasy thiller: The night of the Moonshadow is awaiting.
A story can be told from many points of view, from many truths. This truth tells you about a land called Zephy, a land that is fragile, where Protectors guard mortals and a Superiority keeps Protectors in line.
Imagine a land where there are Squifoxes, creatures that are half fox and half squirrel, cunning and untrustworthy.A land where there are Raiders galvanising, who drain the souls of mortals. Imagine a land of chameleon skinned beings called Amusicals who are ruled by a Queen who lives under a grassy mound, relics of an age where beings of Zephy lived in harmony with nature and the land. Imagine an underground cavern with tunnels and passageways that lead to ancient layers of Zephy which could hold prisoners in its suffocating darkness.
Now imagine a mysteriously invisible Peely Seed house in the heart of a luscious Refract Forest. Look, for inside there are two children sleeping soundly. Soon they will awake and for the first time will be alone. Angela and Gwilym have never before had the chance to explore the wondrous land of Zephy. When they awake they no longer have to imagine the land that has been hidden from them, they have to live it and survive in it. Their family torn apart, secrets slowly unveiled, trust fractured and relationships forever changed. Gwilym and Angela must learn quickly about themselves, their family and the cacophony of the land outside their Peely Tree home.
Angela and Gwilym set of on a mission to find answers to their Mother and Father’s disappearance. In their adventurous journey they soon begin to find answers to questions that they had never pondered upon. They learn about life, its temptations, curiosities, evils and love. They realise that not all of their Mother’s ‘make believe’ stories were untrue. They quickly realise that they must trust others to help them and that there may be greater issues to overcome than the disappearance of their mother and father. Trust is broken by many on their quest and the children’s own judgement is questioned. Evil grows in Zephy and danger lurks in unusual places. Can Gwilym or Angela help save Zephy or will they be its greatest threat to balance and peace?
This is a story with adventure, mystery, society, magic, family, darkness, sabotage, childhood innocence and ignorance. This is a story about power.
