Before Mercy F*ck there was another story... You know the one. Where the female is heavily armed, feisty, has a penchant for finding trouble, doesn't need a man and likes to drink a lot. Where the male sees what could be his, wants it desperately, would beg for it but, needs her sober long enough to realize she wants it too. Yeah, that one. As the saying goes; 'when alcohol goes in, truth comes out'. And for this couple, the truth could quite literally be deadly. But, will Liquid Courage be enough to save them?
K.S. Adkins did it again! This book was awesome and I'm totally in love with it. And with Dion. My new swoon worthy hero.I would totally have him as mine.
When a book starts with a line like "Alcohol goes in, truth comes out" you are instantly curious what will happen and where this will go.
This book went in many directions. KS gets it rolling from the first chapter and never lets you go! But everything has a path. It all had a purpose. You get resolutions you get lots of action, you get a badass lead female, and if you've ever read a KS book before you expect this. Mercy does not disappoint.
If this is your first this your first KS book, it's a great place to start. You'll get to see the humor, the sexy, the fun, it's full of entertainment, and even enough emotion you might shed a tear.
Well Mercy me! I won't spoil the fun or the anticipation for anyone. I read an unedited edition. Dion, Pita & Mercy that was an amazing ride!
I haven't finished a book in six months! I loved every word.
DNF.... this book could have been great! A feisty and funny female lead, a good premise to the story, but the male lead (Dion) what an awful name, comes off like a chick. He’s so enamored with Mercy, that she touches his office desk and lamp and he gets a boner! WTH! Too much dialogue in his head about this girl that he doesn’t even know yet. It’s not believable nor does it fit with his tough guy, owns a gentlemen’s club persona. I don’t buy it and I just don’t have the patience to read a book that lacks character development and believability. The sample was good, but once I bought the book to continue it just went downhill
4 liquid courage stars 'when alcohol goes in, truth comes out' I really liked this book and I always enjoy reading K.S. Adkins books. This book was about Mercy and Dion. I liked how they met first time and it was great way to start a book. It took for me some time to warm up to Dion but I did like him. Mercy was great character and I liked her right away. There happened a lot and there weren't any boring moment.
GULP! Liquid courage is what everyone needs....even just a little, lol! This book, oh this book had me laughing like crazy. I could not put it down. This is where Mercy and Dion meet and the introduction is rather hilarious. These two, along with Mercy's "apprentice", Pita, will not disappoint. Everything down to the PI firm, bombs, sex clubs and toys with some foul mouthed characters had me gasping and laughing the entire time. The craziness this trio gets into is thrilling and edgy. I can't say much about the story itself as I refuse to give spoilers but you have to give this book a try. An absolute must read. If you need something that will pull you in and keep you there til the very end, then this is it! It's action packed with all the sarcasm you can handle in just the right spots. K.S. Adkins rocked this story!
Loved it!! I read it straight through. Couldn't stop lol.
It's everything you expect from K.S. Adkins. Your messed up lovable characters, flowing storyline, juicy dirty parts, & humor.
Dion & Mercy will pull you in! If you are a first time Adkins reader you don't need to read any of the others first. But you should read them all anyway!! 😉
*I received an ARC copy of this book for an honest review*
OAO
Liquid Courage begins when Dion meets Mercy at a bar. She seemed to be on a date, and the guy wasn't really in to her it seemed, but Dion was laughing like crazy. After first glance these two are hooked on each other. But Mercy has baggage, and Dion wants to do everything he can to make her his.
This book goes pretty quickly with the romance. I felt like we didn't get enough build up first, but I still liked the book. I also enjoyed the plot more towards the end, and the issues with Pita as well.
This is a very enjoyable story, however, it wasn't my favorite of this author.
Bravo. 5 stars! I thoroughly enjoyed reading Liquid Courage. I’d missed K.S. Adkins’ craziness and I was totally delighted when I heard about the release of Mercy (aka She-Rambo), Dion, and Pita’s story. It was an amazing ride. Funny, bumpy, rocky and sexy as hell. I was hooked from the beginning and could not put it down.
I loved it.
Happy reading!

Another engrossing, page turner with a leading lady I would want to be friends with and a leading man that I'm crazy about. I loved all the little tie-ins to another of this author's books that popped up. I can't get enough of KS Adkins books. The characters are funny, and imperfect and yet amazing. The storylines are easy to follow and so easy to get swept up in. I just loved this story and can't wait to check out more of this author's books.
1st of all, there is a disconnect in writing, by the time u try to connect with the characters, things shift. not fully developed scenarios . 2nd the sex scene is what was cringe! i gave up on "we came together, coating each other with evidence of our union" small mercies that it wasnt "our essence!" that wld be plain gross!
I want more Mercy, Dion, and Pita. This could turn into a series like stephanie plum. It was great! It really wasn't part of the other book Mercy F@ck, but it was super funny and I read it in one sitting. Couldn't put it down.
