"An exquisite conclusion to the thrilling Unblemished trilogy." --RT Book Reviews
Sara Ella masterfully takes readers to new worlds in the jaw-dropping finale to the Unblemished trilogy. With the fate of the Reflections at stake, Eliyana must destroy the Void . . . but at what cost?
Eliyana Ember is a reluctant queen. As vessel of the Verity--the purest of souls--only she can lead the fight against the wicked magnetism of the Void. If she fails, the paths between Reflections will cease to exist, and those she loves will remain plagued by darkness.
After falling through a draining Threshold and suffering near-death, Eliyana awakens to a Shadowalker-ridden Venice, Italy. From there, she must learn to navigate mysteries of time and space. Traveling across the seven Reflections, Eliyana seeks one the demise of the Void.
But something else is at stake--the fate of her heart. Kyaphus Rhyen and Joshua David, brothers in arms, duel to win her hand. Ky remains ensnared and tortured by the Void. Joshua, though well-meaning, harbors dark secrets. Meanwhile, Eliyana finds herself torn, her mind and memories leading her in one direction, but her heart pulling her toward a man she knows she shouldn't trust.
How can she discern whom to believe when she cannot even depend on her own fragmented memories?
Traversing the realms of fantasy and reality through a labyrinth of plot twists, Unbreakable delivers a thrilling conclusion to Sara Ella's Unblemished Trilogy.
Once upon a time, Sara Ella brought dreams to life as a Disney cast member, wishing for the day she’d find her prince and live in a castle of her own. Now she spends her days homeschooling her three Jedi in training, braving the Arizona summers, and reminding her superhero husband that it's almost Christmas (even if it's only January). Sara is the award-winning author of The Wonderland Trials, Coral, and the Unblemished trilogy. She is old enough for fairy tales and believes happily ever after is never far away.

The publisher sent me a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
Just like the other 2 books in this series, I had a hard time initially getting into this book but the ending was pretty exciting! The writing is very descriptive, but moreso with each character's internal thoughts than with scenery. Being so lost in the characters' thoughts did sometimes feel distracting and I would want to get on with the story. I also wasn't a big fan of how most of the plot twists involved the same character over and over.
Eliyana got a bit lost in this book for me. Ebony totally outshone her! I was surprised at how much Ebony grew on me. There were a lot of redemption arcs that I enjoyed. Things felt well concluded. I enjoyed the exploration of how we all have both light and dark inside of us.
I think you would like this if you like fairy tales, The Wizard of Oz (one world is a version of Oz!), redemption stories, time travel, or stories of light vs darkness.
I finally finished this book! Unfortunately, this third and final book in the UNBLEMISHED series by Sara Ella was not a worthwhile read for me. Unbreakable was confusing, unsatisfying, and just seemed to drag on with nothing important happening.
The first two books, Unblemished and Unraveling, were very intriguing and caught my attention for sure. They are a mix of fairy tale and fantasy, with a lot of original content. I did have a few issues with them ... namely the love triangle and a scene or two that I deemed inappropriate. And the whole Void vs. Verity aspect, which I wasn't sure where it was headed.
So, in Unbreakable, the romance(s) and some relationships that were central in the previous two books were nearly non-existent. Eliyana was separated from her true love for nearly the entire book ... and considering all they have gone through from the first, the conclusion of this series was not at all satisfactory when it came to the romance.
The characters and plot seemed to wander around for the entirety of the book. The ending had some exciting scenes. But overall, I felt disconnected. Like I wasn't in the story anymore. It feel flat. It took me maybe a month to finish this book - I had to put it down at one point, and then finally just picked it up again and half-skimmed the rest of the book.
Even if it had been more interesting, I feel like the conclusion of this series confirmed that it's not something I, personally, like to read. I thought there was a bit of a Christian allegory with the Verity vs. Void (light vs. darkness) theme ... but it ended up being so confusing and twisted that by the end of Unbreakable that I was more confused than ever about who and what was good and who and what was bad.
The theme really seemed to be about self-love and how if a really bad person is loved, they might magically become good. And about us choosing to be good of our own strength and will. But the truth is, human love can't fix things. It can help, but ultimately, it is the sacrificial, immortal love of Christ that truly changes. We cannot choose goodness and light apart from Him.
So, maybe that's not how the author wanted her message to come across. But, if I'm understanding correctly that she's a Christian, the themes of her books just rubbed me a little wrong. That is my personally, honest opinion. Someone else might feel differently!
This series has a lot of promise, but it didn't end up being for me. I'm sorry to write a negative review.
I received a copy of Unbreakable from BookLook Bloggers Review Program in exchange for my honest review.
Ok, this one wasn't as good as the first two. There was very little romance and I don't even know who she ended up with! XDD Was it you know who or the other guy? Probably you know who, but she still seems slightly attached to the other guy whom she visited at the very end. ANYWAY, I really didn't like El. I LOVED Ember tho. Like, she is AWESOME! XD
I have been hit with the feels! This book ended in such an amazing yet almost depressing way. I have so many feelings right now.
The characters all have grown much since the first book. I am so sad to see them go. I ended up liking nearly every character that we have read about throughout the series. The redemption of some of the characters was truly heartwarming and I loved seeing them transform so much!!
The plot in this one was confusing at first but I just psuhed through and everything started to make since. Even though I didn't like this as much as the first two, this book was still amazing and a key piece of the story.
All the twists in this book had me not wanting to put the book down. I almost wanted this book to be bigger but then again I don't because I am content with the ending. Ugh, I still am feeling too many emotions!
I definitely will be reading Sara Ella's new book, Coral, when it comes out because Mrs. Ella is a great author and I cannot wait to see what story and characters she has in store for us next!!
I so wanted to love this book as much as I loved the others. But I didn't.
The first two hundred pages or so were slow. The characters wandered aimlessly in circles. At the beginning of each chapter they would come up with a plan, the middle of the chapter would consist of them speaking with someone who doesn't relate to that plan, and the end of the chapter would consist of them either choosing not to go through with their plan or someone preventing it from happening. And this happens over and over and over. It drove me nuts. Not to mention that I was so confused.
The last third of the book picked up a lot and that was when I started enjoying it.
I loved the character development in this book. Especially Ebony's arch. But the romance was practically non existent. I don't mind the main character's romance being put on the back seat to make room for other characters and blooming relationships. But this romance wasn't put in the back seat. It was stuffed in the trunk. It barely existed, maybe there was fifty pages of actual romance. And I feel like after the ending of the last book, I needed more closure than just that.
The plot twists though... those were on point. Whoa.
I look forward to any books Ella will write in the future. I just hope that they're more like the first two books than this one.
I received a copy of this book for free through the Fiction Guild. I was not required to post a positive review and the views and opinions expressed are my own
Me: OH MY GOSH! IT'S SO PRETTY! Person: Why did you already 5-star it? Me: BECAUSE IT'S A SARA ELLA NOVEL! DUH! IF YOU DON'T UNDERSTAND, READ THE SERIES! NOW! RIGHT NOW!
Ky’s chapters were without a doubt my favorite part! But it was also fun seeing Joshua and Ebony’s POVs as well! A lot more than I expected and I look forward to rereading this trilogy in the future!
Firstly, I want to say that I genuinely enjoyed this trilogy, as it’s been an interesting and fun adventure through the Reflections with Eliyana Ember and all whom she encounters.
I quickly fell in love with book one (Unblemished) of this trilogy, and book two (Unraveling) was almost as good as book one; both leaving me hungry for more! But ... I had a harder time getting into this one. It was a lot slower than the others for me. A lot of the “plot twists” were more predictable in this third book, which compared to the other book’s plot twists, is sort of a let down because there were so many unexpected things that happened in book one and two and then... I guessed most, if not all, of these ones. I feel like I got spoiled and then had high expectations because of the previous books, and that’s why compared to them, this one was less enjoyable.
I also felt a lot of things in this one were unnecessary. A lot of it could have been left out in my opinion, because for me it did get boring and repetitive at certain points. I found myself often wanting to skip over parts or skimming when it got boring, so then I’d end up having to go back and reread things in case it was somehow important or vital for later. I suppose the book wouldn’t have had a significant length had a lot of that been left out though... 🤷🏻♀️
Now, that is not all to say that this book was awful garbage or anything, because it was definitely far from that! I mean, I did obviously enjoy it enough to read it all the way to the end and then be able to to give it a decent rating. I just think this one was the weakest of the three. I was left mostly satisfied with how it all ended, but at the same time, I felt like there was still a little something missing.
All in all, it was a pretty good series, so yes, I do recommend it. 3.5 ⭐️’s (rounded up because I did enjoy the series).
This story pulled my heart in all the best ways. Tears were shed, feels were real. I can't believe the trilogy is over.
The characters have grown so much since the first book and I feel like I've grown with them. I love them so much and I wish I could meet El in real life so we could become soul sisters.
So many plot twists! Mind bending reveals! Romance feels! I have All. The. Love. for everything about this series. I feel like I'm repeating myself throughout this whole review but I JUST LOVE IT.
Even without touching upon the characters, the heart of the story and the love behind it was so, so beautiful and encouraging. I finished the final page and desperately wished I could go right to Sara Ella immediately and give her the hugest hug of all time. Sara's heart is in every line of this story, and I love it so deeply.
I know the reflection chronicles, El, Ky, Joshua, all of them will stay with me in a precious part of my heart. I honestly don't have enough words to describe how much I love this series and this author. Just go read this. 💕
And the faerie tale has come to an end. This was certainly an interesting tale. It had it's ups and downs, but, for the most part, it was beautiful and unique.
Unbreakable was elegant chaos. It had beauty, heartache, and struggle. Ella was able to tie in the history of Unblemished and Unraveling in such a way that it all came flowing back to me as I read the end of the trilogy.
Though this book still had its problems, I found that I enjoyed it more than the first two. It had the same elegantly vivid writing style, but it felt like I got more of the story, and less of the love triangle. I really enjoyed the details in the world development and the faerie tale feel of the book.
I got to know most of the characters a little bit better. I still never completely connected with any of them, but it was nice to have more development to drive the story. I really loved the twists with The Fairy Queen, and the ending, too.
There were still a few times where I felt confused, and I never really enjoyed the pop culture references, but this was a quick read, and a nice ending. The entire series felt like it was inspired by different faerie tales, and the books were atmospheric and vivid. I'm glad I decided to finish the trilogy. It was magical and had so much originality to it, despite using a few old tropes.
If you love a faerie tale like atmosphere with a power struggle between good and evil, you may enjoy this trilogy. The good definitely outweighed the bad for me, and I loved the development of the world and magic system. I also really loved the morality of the story teaching that people are never truly just good or evil, it is our choices that help guide us to one or the other. It was a beautiful story indeed.
Thank you to FFBC and the publisher for sending me this free copy in exchange for my honest review, and as part of the blog tour.
This was an amazing conclusion to an even more amazing series!
Sara has such lyrical writing that draws you into the world in such a magical way. Plus, the way she pulls things together in the story, things you might not expect, that come together so nicely in the end is spectacular.
I ended up enjoying Ebony's storyline more than El's. I loved her character arc in this book. She had an amazing redemption arc in book two, and then continuing that and learning to forgive herself in this book, I loved it so much!
All that being said, I still really enjoyed El's story and am still #TeamKyForever ;)
There's an interesting twist of where El ends up after her traveling through a portal at the end of Unraveling. And what the Sixth Reflection world was like surprised me. I really liked Sara's twist on this world we are all familiar with. All of these surprises and twists were amazing and I loved them!
I have only two complaints. One, to be very vague and spoiler free, I would've liked to have seen the villain's storyline just a little more resolved at the end. I did enjoy how it was wrapped up, but I felt like it was missing a something and would have liked to see a little more. Two, is that we didn't see a lot of Tide and Ebony at the end, but that's just because I love their characters!
If you haven't picked up this series, you need to! And if you have read book 1 & 2, but have been putting this one off because you don't want the series to end...well I don't blame you lol, but you need to read Unbreakable because it is amazing and will just add to your love of this series.
(I received a free copy of this book from the publisher in return for an honest review)
STOP! This review contains spoilers from Unblemished and Unraveling. Do not continue any further until you have read those books. ;)
I liked Unblemished, and I loved Unraveling, so I couldn't wait to get my hands on this book. Unfortunately, it only earned 3.5 stars in my opinion. While it was still a solid finale, it didn't live up to my (rather high) expectations.
We saw from a lot more perspectives in this book--Ky and Ebony along with Eliyana. While it was neat to get to see inside some of the other characters' heads, it was a little annoying at times (especially with Eliyana and Ebony). The characters tend to ramble a lot, and it distracts from the story. It was hard to keep up with the switches between the present and flashbacks.
The plot didn't really get going until the last quarter or so. For most of the book, the plot wanders hither and yon without a strong direction of what needs to happen next. A lot of what was supposed to be plot twists and revelations felt thrown in, without a whole lot of explanation. I wasn't super happy with how the story resolved itself either--it was rather anticlimactic after the last book. Also, like Kasey from The Story Sanctuary mentioned in her review of Unraveling, the morality bordered on grey and tended to confuse the Christian themes with fantasy.
The world-building was excellent though, and I adore all the references to pop culture that Ella throws in. I won't say too much about the Reflection(s) introduced in this story, as I don't want to spoil it, but I will say some of them were familiar locations with a fresh twist.
Overall, I was kinda disappointed in Unbreakable. It felt like a sort of bait-and-switch after the last book, although that might have just been because of how much I loved the last one. Fans of the series will definitely want to read this one to finish the story that started in Unblemished, though I'd caution them about going into it with too high expectations. This trilogy is great for fans of Anne Elisabeth Stengl and Nadine Brandes.
Recommended for Ages 12 up.
Cultural Elements Major characters appear to be white. Some secondary characters have darker skin tones.
Profanity/Crude Language Content Story-centric curses, like crowe and Verity or Void.
Romance/Sexual Content Eliyana kisses both Ky and Joshua. She describes her clothing in one scene as being inadequate and describes her figure (not in detail). She is dressed in only undergarments and a slip in one scene. There is some non-sexual nudity in several scenes (relating to shape-shifting).
Spiritual Content Same as first two books. Crosses into allegory/Christian morality territory, while not fully embracing it. Could be confusing for some readers.
Violent Content Injuries are incurred, though not described in detail. Flashbacks include dangerous situations and some injuries. One character is mauled to death, and the wound is semi-described. One character dies from a broken heart. A character uses his blood to heal.
Drug Content Eliyana, under the influence of the Unbinding Elixir, kisses Joshua, and many of her memories are changed.
And I don't really feel like writing a review for Unbreakable, it's too much work to organize my thoughts into something coherent.
But it's beautiful. So, sooo beautiful. Endings like this should happen more often, you know - noble, bittersweet, utterly fulfilling completion. Can I say how unique that is? How refreshing it is to journey through three solid volumes to reach a truly compelling and amazing end? Sara Ella's books did that to me... led me through a fantastic journey, pulled me into a world that reflects ours... she's done with this trilogy exactly what fantasy should do. I'm left refreshed, invigorated, looking at the world through a fresh pair of lenses.
And Joshua... *sobs*
It was perfect. Perfectly beautiful, perfectly right. I wholeheartedly concur with all my friends who've told me this is the best love triangle they've ever seen. Wow. If you're reading book one and questioning if you should continue, please stick it through because this ending is very worth it.
*SPOILER ALERT* I love what the author did with Ebony, Isabeau, Jasyn, and the entire time-travel aspect of the story. And Oz... how delightfully creative. I've loved seeing the world of the Reflections developed with every book, the spectacular worldbuilding is certainly one of the highlights of this series for me. *END SPOILER*
And that's it. I was very sad to close this lovely book (although looking at the cover is a treat in itself), but I'm doubly eager in looking forward to the next time I'll devour this series again. Excellently written, thought-provoking, emotional, and beautiful... this is a trilogy that I'm glad to have read.
⭐️ 3 Stars ⭐️ Wow, I never thought I’d cry for my least favorite characters. But I did. This ending was unexpectedly emotional and I thought this trilogy was concluded quite nicely. I think the main reason I’ve taken off stars for these books is because of the narration style. I’m not a fan of the short sentences, sound effects, hashtags, or pop culture references. But there was a lot of this and it just annoyed me. Also the love triangle was frustrating, and some of the plot twists were hard to believe. Also my favorite character in this whole series is Ebony, so I loved that ending. 😀
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.
I finished this with tears streaming down my cheeks because my heart, it felt breakable in this one. I think it did... But I also had hope in my heart. Because this was beautiful.
I never expected to love this so much. But I did.
I laughed out loud. I smiled. I gasped. I facepalmed and freaked out and made weird noises that only crazy fangirl bookworms can do. It kept me up the latest I’ve ever stayed up reading— 4AM, going on 5. And I cried. Oh, did I cry.
In the beginning, I was just sad because of how things were going. I wasn’t sure I was going to like the whole time-traveling thing. Turns out, I found it really neat. Meeting her grandfather at sixteen? It was weird but it was so cool. After his last words in Unblemished, I wondered about him...
I love these characters. SO much. They’ve just found there way in my heart, every single one of em. Eliyana. I’m so proud of her. She’s grown so much. I just want to give her a hug. She’s amazing. Ky? I love Ky. So, so much. He stole my heart. I feel like I got to know him on such a deeper level in this book and I just loved it. Seeing his past, seeing his struggles, his thoughts... made me love him even more. I feel like he becomes a man in this book. I love his humor, his sweetness, his determination, and how he fights to do right... ahhh, #TeamKyforeverrrr. Ya know what? I didn’t think i was gonna care about Ebony’s POV. I just didn’t think I’d be interested. I never liked her much... but now?? She’s one of my favorite characters!! Her story was beautiful. I loved seeing her relationship with her mother grow and change. I was actually shedding tears. It touched me in a way I would’ve expected. I was able to understand her so much better. I was laughing out loud at her humor. Also, I ship her and Tide. ❤️ Khloe was a dear, and Stormy is awesome. And Joshua?? Oh, Joshua! I can’t tell you how much my heart hurt for this guy. I began the series liking him, I got into the middle of this series despising him, but in the end? I ended this series by loving him. This book showed me Joshua in such a way... His struggles, his fight, his hurt, his sacrifice... oh, Joshua!! I was crying so much because... I didn’t realize how much I loved his character until it was too late. No, not quite too late. But his sacrifice really did something to me. My heart breaks for Wren. I never particularly liked her but I felt for her. A lot.
This book broke me. But it also inspired me and filled me with hope. The fight against good and evil really struck a chord with me, inspiring me so much to fight the good fight. It inspired me to fight for what’s good and right and pure. We all have a choice. And it made me think about inner beauty and how it’s so much more important. It’s so easy to focus on the outside, focus on our blemishes and flaws and feel ugly, worthless, not enough... but this book reminded me that we are beautiful, flaws and all. They make us who we are.
This is a story of forgiveness, of hope, of love. Leaving insecurities behind and embracing who you are- someone who is loved and special and altogether unique. A story of sacrifice, heartbreak, pain, and healing. And most of all— a story about the battle we face each and every day, inside... the battle against good and evil.
This book touched me. What a beautiful ending to an amazing trilogy!

HOLY COW, YOU GUYS!! I literally just finished this AH-MAZING conclusion to the Unblemished trilogy, and I. Can't. Even. It's so good! So many Broadway references. 😍 So many fairy tales. 😍😍 That ending though... ❤️ avoiding giving spoilers is hard guys. 😂 Anyways, it's got ALL. THE. FEELS. Read it!!! I received an advance copy for honest review.
*Warnings* #1 This is a long review, so pull up a chair and grab a bowl of popcorn. You'll be here awhile. #2 When I read a review, I want substantial information. So I will not skimp on the details. Which will mean some spoilers, so watch out.
Unbreakable marks the end of Sara Ella's debut series, The Unblemished Trilogy, or as she calls it, The Reflection Chronicles. But from what is in fact an end, a life-long goodbye is absent, for her stories and characters shall live forever in the minds and hearts of her loyal readers. As I turned the last page of Unbreakable, I wanted to laugh, to cry, to hug this wonderful book close, to push it away in the knowing that once I read the final sentence, this amazing journey through Reflections unknown would come to an end. This book broke me. Sara Ella has completed her series with a flourish, leaving a long-lasting impression upon whoever reads her novels. Trust me, you want to be included in "whoever". I myself wish I had picked these books up forever ago. As in the previous two books, the author dazzles us with a tale of love and adventure, Reflections and Callings and Kisses. Her beautiful prose is once again put to good use, this time in not only the mind of main character Eliyana Ember, but also Ky Rhyen, Joshua David, and Ebony Archer, telling a story no other could. We begin right where Unraveling left off, with Joshua captive within the shadowy bonds of his own dark side, Ky preparing to find his Ember, who WE find in soaked and stinking in an Italian sewer, her fragmented memories the only connection she has left to the world she has just been sucked--and really I mean sucked--away from. All our characters long to do is return to the past, what they used to have. And that is exactly what they do. Through a crazy adventure full of twists and turns, Ky and his crew--which includes the Shadowalker Josh, Ky's baby sister Khloe, cold and aloof Wren, and Ever Dahlia Moon--set off to find the only way to Eliyana. But will they find her? And if they do, could it be too late? I suggest you read to find out! 😊 *Spoilers Up Ahead*
*End Spoilers* There are indeed more Christian allegories in Unbreakable, but those little things only a believer would notice. Like three day, for instance. As for the whole good vs. evil theme that continues throughout the entire series, it has been done so many times (probably because it's actually happening in every day life) that anyone would catch it. But Ella managed to make the battle between light and darkness seem so real, so different and yet the same that I didn't feel like I was reading The Chronicles of Narnia all over again. The way she ends this book, this series, is just as it should be. So many characters we didn't think would receive a happy--or at least bittersweet--ending did. The main problems have been solved. All's well with the world--sort of. But I still believe that if Ella chose to, she could still continue The Reflection Chronicles without ruining what she has already made. There are still so many stories to tell! As the forever reigning Queen of Assumptions, I made a few wild guesses when it came to some situations/characters and ended up right. But Ella threw me a curve ball in Unbreakable, unlike even the ones in Unraveling (which I did see coming, I'll have you know! 😉), that NO ONE could've ever guessed. Fortunately, this wild u-turn actually didn't seem like a last minute solution to everyone's problems, like some things have in other works. In fact, I believe Ella had this planned from the very beginning. All of it. And if she hadn't, I sure couldn't tell. Which I have to commend her for. There have never been ANY inconsistencies in her novels that were not meant to be there. I can't really say the same for myself...
So, long story short... Unbreakable broke me. Then mended me in a way no other novel could. Every emotion I've ever felt has come forth during the reading of Sara Ella's Reflection Chronicles. My heart has been tore in two and then sewn back up. My soul has been laid bare. I will never love another series as much as I have loved Sara Ella's.
Wow the series is over, I can't believe it! This was actually a really fun series to read. Plus the covers are gorgeous. Unbreakable starts off with El coming to in a different time and Reflection. Turns off she's gone back in time and meets her grandparents when they were her age. In the Second Reflection, Ky must team up with the Void infested Joshua in order to find El again.
I've become super invested in the puzzling relationship between El, Joshua and Ky throughout this series. I love how complicated it becomes with every installment. But I still don't like Joshua, sorry not sorry. The other part of this series I love is the Reflections themselves. The world building was so vivid, it was easy to imagine every Reflection as a parallel world.
The ending was really well done too. It had the right amount of sacrifice and happily ever after. I'm glad I finished this series!
NOTE: I was sent a free copy of Unbreakable by the publisher in exchange for an honest review. This did not affect my thoughts or opinions in any way.
The Unblemished Trilogy is basically about a girl named Eliyana who has a birthmark on her face, a cool guy who then turns out to be a complete and utter flopped character named Joshua, and an actually super cool character called KY.
Okay, honestly, I don’t remember half of it. Or any of it. We’ll see how this goes.
WHAT I LOVED:
- Ky. Okay, so Ky was really the only character I actually liked throughout the whole trilogy (I was head over heels for Joshua at first but. Erm.). He was actually super fleshed out and relatable and sarcastic and had a motive behind everything he did pretty much (I think. I’m going off my coffee-dead brain here.)
- Okay so the idea of the Reflections is pretty cool. Like, alternate universes?? YEES. I loved the IDEA… It all wasn’t actually written out and explained all too well in my opinion though.
- The relationship between Eliyana and her mom. SO that was actually really awesome. I love a good mother-daughter relationship and it’s something you don’t see every day in YA fiction. So it was sweet.
WHAT I DIDN'T LOVE:
- Everyone was reLATED TO ONE ANOTHER. This really. Really. Really bugs me. Like every 2 pages she’d find her long lost second cousin thrice removed or something. *totally not exaggerating just the tiniest bit* But seriously. The “Everyone Is Related” cliche is SO overdone in YA fiction and basically it just makes me cringe.
- Joshua. *sigh* Where do I even begin. I’m getting kinda moody just thinking about him, so maybe I won’t even. Just… just read it yourself and you’ll see. 😂
- There were too many characters and I was constantly getting them mixed up.
- Everything was so complicated and not explained very well. The world and all the kisses of fate or whatever and then the characters and their relations and just ugh *falls on face* It COULD have all been really good if they had been explained better??
- I N F O D U M P S. There were so. many. info dumps. Sometimes I had to just skip over them and hope I didn’t miss something super important. And I did. A lot.
- There was the whole “You’re the Chosen One and the Only One Who Can Save the World and MORE SPECIAL THAN EVERYONE Else” thing going on and I just *falls off a cliff*
- I was just so confused the whole time *sobs*
Overall? I’d rate the Unblemished Trilogy as a whole 2 3/4 stars. Individually, I’d give book one 3 stars, book two 2 1/2 stars, and book three 3 stars.
Unbreakable by Sara Ella is the third book in the Unblemished trilogy. This is a Y/A Fantasy book and I found myself being swept away into all of the worlds that Ella created. I also found myself caught up in the romance triangle. I kept wondering who the heroine would end up with. One chapter I was team Ky, the next team Joshua. This book/series had so many characters and they had special gifts. I found myself being a bit confused and couldn't remember how everyone was related and what their giftings were. But, that may be because I'm an older reader and my mind isn't as sharp as it used to be. But, be that as it may, I enjoyed the twists, plots, and suspense of it all as it was played out. I loved seeing the characters grow and mature as they sojourned through the reflections. Things aren't always as they seem and people can change. Some make good choices and some bad. As a result, they have to live with the consequences. I loved the ending. It was absolutely beautiful. I cried. It was so magnificent. Ella did a wonderful job describing the scenes without being too descriptive. She is a very talented author and I highly recommend this book and the series. Now, that the whole series is out, I feel it would be a great opportunity to read one after the other in succession and not miss a beat with the Verity or the Void and what each holds. I give this book 4 1/2 stars. *I was given a copy by Thomas Nelson Fiction and this is my honest opinion
Sometimes Happily Ever Afters end differently than you think.
Case in point, Unbreakable.
It truly is a bittersweet ending. Joyous in the way I wanted it to be, surprising in another, and a happy sad overall. Things really did come full circle. (Well, not quite everything because as always, this author knows how to throw in a huge plot twist time and time again.)
I'm glad that time-travel was a thing in this story because I feel you really see a different side of everyone, especially with a few certain characters. Some good, some bad. It very strongly tied into a powerful message of choosing to "serve" the light every day, no matter what darkness may try and drag us down.
Though I will confess I was slightly disappointed by the ending, it was also the perfect (and BEST if I might add) ending this series needed. Hope really bloomed off the pages and that love is powerful and beautiful.
Overall, you'll find me trying to recover from all the feels of this series and it being "finished."
If you love reading fantasy, I do recommend this series. It's a good one, though be prepared for your heart to twist and a few tears to be released. ;)

I wasn’t sure what to expect from the final book in the Unblemished trilogy. I know I was hoping for some resolution after book two!
This one was a bit different from the previous two. The characters split up with Eliyana in a new reflection and two groups trying to find her. With both Ky and Josh going by two names, at times I was a bit confused but after a while, the different names connected with the ones I was used to.
Ebony gets a voice in this book, which were probably my favorite parts in this book. Her slightly sarcastic thoughts hide her inner doubts, hurts, and her good heart. A lot of this book is the inner dialogue of Eliyana, Ebony, Joshua, and Ky (almost too much at times)
Part fairy tale and part allegory, some truths are more apparent in this book than others, but there are many there (light and darkness in each of us, the heart knows love and sacrifice, and more). And while it takes a bit of meandering to get there (the excitement really starts about the three-quarter mark), the ending is both a bit of a surprise, yet a beautiful resolution for Eliyana.

This book, this trilogy, was more than fantastic. It's beautiful, utterly gorgeous, tender, heartbreaking, head-clutching-in-frustration-type... It's probably the best fantasy series I've ever read so far and one I really really loved. You have extraordinary characters and an especially wonderful story with allegorical features that can touch your heart. It sure did mine! The way the story was outlined - the suspense, the complications (they were very complicated, really), the very toe-curling romance, the fantasy itself - just enthralled me from start to finish. This is for the whole trilogy itself, really, not just this novel. I want to say more, but It's so hard to find the words! What's for sure is that the Unblemished trilogy is going to stay a long while with me.
Unbreakable was an okay read. This series was not a favorite, as I didn't connect to the characters or like the romance. The way a certain thing went was disappointing (won't say to avoid spoilers). I also just didn't care for what seemed like an allegory plot line.
All in all, this just wasn't for me.
