John Watson doesn’t feel like he really fits in as the new student at Baker Elementary. If it wasn’t bad enough being the only dog, it seems he has already gained the attention of the class bully, Kyle. Out in the play yard, Watson feels even more alone until he meets a young boy named Sherlock Holmes. While quite clever, Sherlock is often so lost in his own thoughts that he is oblivious to the people around him. However, when Watson shows an interest in Sherlock’s work it sparks the beginning of an adventure Sherlock never expected: friendship. Their first mission, identify the bad smell that has been afflicting their classroom.

Case File #1: The Smell - John Watson (a dog) is new to Baker Elementary. The teacher is Ms. Hudson and there in a classroom with a terrible stench. But don’t worry, Sherlock is on the case.

Case File #2: The Stolen Toy - Emma’s doll she brought for show and tell is missing. But Sherlock has no interest in helping Emma find her doll. “I don’t need friends.” And now Watson is framed with the crime.

Case File #3: Missing Equipment - The playground equipment is missing, but what is Principal LeStrade doing about it? Nothing, so Sherlock takes the case. Mycroft is introduced.

Awesome

The book was funny and quirky at the same time. Very well written and nicely animated. My only complaint is that the book was short. I would recommend this book for ages 6-12

Sherlock was already a character I loved very much with his books, and when I found his comics, I wanted to start right away. This is the first Sherlock comic I read and it takes place in his childhood. In this series, Watson is a dog. :) He joins Sherlock's class and their friendship begins with their first adventure. It will definitely be an enjoyable series to read. My advice is if you have a child who is starting to learn English, let him practice the language with such publications that may be of interest. It will both gain reading habit and be useful for language learning.

Sherlock zaten kitaplarıyla çok sevdiğim bir karakterdi ve çizgiromanlarını da bulmuşken hemen başlamak istedim. Bu okuduğum ilk Sherlock çizgiromanı ve çocukluğunda geçiyor. Bu seride Watson bir köpek. :) Sherlock'un sınıfına katılıyor ve ilk maceraları ile arkadaşlıkları başlıyor. Kesinlikle okuması keyifli bir seri olacak. Tavsiyem ingilizce öğrenmeye başlayan çocuğunuz varsa bu tarz ilgisini çekebilecek yayınlarla dil pratiği yapmasını sağlayın. Hem okuma alışkanlığı kazandırır hem de dil öğrenimi için faydalı olacaktır. :)
