An eminently readable biography, having read Insurgent Mexico & Ten Days that Shook the World, Louise Bryant's Six Months in Red Russia, and having seen the film Reds - I thought I knew a lot about John Reed, but this book had many intellectual breadcrumbs with new information about the great man which I enjoyed learning. A life tragically cut short at 33 - a great loss for the workers movement. 5 stars!
