Everybody—both young and old—has naturally gorgeous skin just waiting to be revealed; with this book, you will finally get your glow for life.
I found this really helpful and practical. Other books I'd read about nutrition for skincare had all been from dermatologists and were very dense and boring; though I'm sure they were filled with great info, I couldn't get through all the text to get to the gems! Glow wasn't unnecessarily fluffy, was written in a very casual and witty tone, and was filled with great nuggets of nutritional wisdom. I also really enjoyed the recipes and plan to try some of the DIY skincare recipes as well (not something I've ever done before).
This book was ok, I think that I would have enjoyed it more had it all been beauty recipes. That is what I originally thought this book was. The actual recipes were good and interesting. The other information might have been good too, but after a while I got bored trying to take it all in. It was too many words for what the book was.
Having read Nadia's blog for years now, I enjoy her writing. She hasn't much discussed the nutritional aspect of skin health on her blog, which focuses more on topical natural skincare, which is why I found this particularly interesting. Lots of great info. I don't suggest just buying it for the food and DIY recipes. The real value is in the nutritional information.
I really loved this book. The recipes do not require you buy really random expensive ingredients. Simple and healthy. Would make a great gift for someone trying to use only clean products.
