This book presents interesting and systematic learning contents to improve the communication skills of Korean learners and cultural contents that enable them to experience a wide range of Korean culture. It is composed of practical tasks considering local Korean learners situation at home and abroad. It also contains a variety of content for balanced learning of communication activities and language elements to improve fluency and accuracy evenly. In order to understand the Korean society and culture properly from the viewpoint of cultural mutualism, it is necessary to provide practical materials and cultural information So that cultural learning can be done in both directions. It is a great advantage to be able to learn Korean language through lectures translated into various languages in connection with Nuri-Sejong Haengdang learning program.

Sejong Korean 1 consists of 12 units, 4 cultural units, and preliminary units. The vocabulary includes about 15 to 25 words per unit, and the total number of vocabulary in the textbook is 268. Vocabulary was selected on the basis of frequency and difficulty related to the subject and communication activity of the unit. In addition, the culture unit was designed so that it could be treated lightly in about 10 minutes in related unit sharing the topic or in separate unit in conjunction with Nuri - Sejong Institute.

Хороший підручник для початку вивчення корейської. Схожий на воркбук. Є російський і англійський переклади (і не тільки, але з більш-менш знайомих мені мов лише ці), є аудіозаписи до вправ, достатньо письмових вправ, творчих завдань, є словничок, цікаві завдання для самостійних і групових робіт. Та в електронній версії підручника хотілося б мати доступ до аудіофайлів по кліку, а не шукати їх окремо у архіві в папці завантажень. І хоч аудіо зберегти на пристрій можна, та підручник можливо читати лише з офіційного сайту Інституту короля Седжона.

Sejong Korean Book 1 was a great book for learning the korean language. It contains very useful phrases including introducing yourself, counting and ordering items, describing the weather, describing locations of objects, expressing what you will do and what you have done. You will be able to make sentences as long as you use the correct particles (Practice makes perfect). The illustrations were helpful and fun and the reading,writing and listening exercises were very practical.

Creo que no lo recomendaría. Mi problema es que no te agarran de la mano nunca, a pesar de ser una introducción al idioma. No hay ni una consigna o palabra traducida, y esperan que sepas usar gramática y vocabulario de unidades siguientes, sin explicación o aviso alguno. Si estás aprendiendo por tu cuenta, probaría con algún otro libro. Y si te dieron este para leer en tu curso, buscaría urgente recursos suplementarios.

Me gustó que al principio del libro son trabajos sabía leer hangul, y para el final ya era capaz de resolver los ejercicios por mi cuenta. Si bien lo dejé de utilizar mientras recurría al aprendizaje pasivo o al libro de TTMIK, creo que fue una buena herramienta para adquirir vocabulario básico y comprender gramática elemental del idioma.
