Have Wand, Will Travel #2

Once Bitten, Twice Shy

Rate this book
Somewhere off the beaten path in the World of Magic and Mayhem, there’s a little-visited trail that leads to a realm of vampire politics, danger and maybe even death.

Phoebe Stewart only agreed to marry Trevor Ricci to secure peace between their warring vampire clans. When her groom poisons her during the wedding ceremony, and her life expectancy falls from forever to a week, “till death do you part” takes on a whole new meaning. When she catches up with her new husband, she intends to stake and roast the traitorous, narcissistic weenie.
Especially now she’s met Hunter Knox, the bad boy alpha vampire she’s been waiting for her whole death.

Agent Hunter Knox works for the National Vampire Security Council. When a poison that can actually kill their species surfaces, he’s dead set on finding and destroying it. But once he meets Phoebe, and realizes she only has days to live, the need for an antidote takes priority.
And the more he gets to know her, the more he suspects she may be as important to vampire kind as she’s becoming to him.

Highly recommend this series.

This is the second book in the series and it doesn't disappoint. Although a bit shorter in length, the author never fails to weave a completely rounded story with growth and real connection between the characters. I never felt rushed, or like a relationship was "shoehorned" in like so many novellas do. I truly enjoyed the story and characters, especially Hunter! *wink* He was definitely a hot hero. The series is a great addition to Kindle Unlimited. Keep up the good work!

I have enjoyed the second book Teresa Reasor has written in the Magic and Mayhem Kindle World series as well as the first one. I like that the stories written by the different authors take on their writing style. This story had me glued to the pages to find out what was going to happen next. Maybe she will write another one in this series. I surely hope so.

Amazing! Highly Recommend!

Love, love, love Phoebe!!! The characters on this novella are amazing. I feel like I know and care more about Phoebe than some characters I read about in full length books. I hope there is more to come for Phoebe and Hunter.

Delightful

Good story good plot. It was well written and very entertaining. It was just the right length. The story did not drag or bore by being complicated. I expect to see more stories in the future.

This was a good storyline with great characters. Not your usual vampire blah plot. Different! Cute and sassy.

She has done it again! Teresa Reasor is an amazing author and every one of her books I read just hits it perfectly. Whether romantic suspense or paranormal her tales feel real and her characters are outstanding. They are people that I want to know and feel like I do. This time around a vampire, who remembers what it is like to be human and who has brought a bit more than memories into her new life, accepts an arranged marriage to a jerk. She intends for it to be a marriage in man only because there is no why she will live with an evil person. Apparently, he is thinking along the same lines but while her solution is to live away from him his solution is a little more permanent! He poisons her with the marriage kiss! A poison that even works on vampires!

With the help of Ziara, the witch from the first Have Wand, Will Travel, she is able to battle to poison for a while but the fix is far from permanent. She and a private investigator, and may I say, "Oh my word!" seek out the lethal groom. Wouldn't you know it; after 50+ years as a vampire, she finally finds a male who understands a relationship can last more than a few weeks just as she is likely to die.

I hope that these two are key characters in the Next Have Wand novel. As much as I love Ziara and Chris, I like Phoebe and Hunter even better. Ms. Reasor is always an auto buy for me. I can't wait for the next book!!
