They've anticipated this time, yet dread it more than any of them care to admit.
A pang of remorse penetrates Alyra’s chest. She should have tried harder, ran faster, done whatever it took to keep her former master, Darnel, from kidnapping the Curian, Katrina. Now poor Kat is all alone, probably locked in a dungeon, in the dark mountain stronghold of Racah.
What plans were being made to rescue Kat? And when would Tarek come back to Alyra as he promised? His last message said he should have already returned…so what kept him away? Jerin, along with his centaur friends, Lotari and Stitch, anticipate the move against Racah, but Prince Issah has delayed. When Jerin is finally able to ask Issah about his battle plans, the prince seems distracted, staring into the nearby fountain with his gaze locked onto the rippling surface. Leaning forward, Jerin looks harder, wondering what Issah is staring at when a vision forms.
A familiar man is standing on a platform with arms tied behind his back. He’s surrounded by an angry crowd. Jerin is curious about the vision until Issah confirms that before they can advance on Racah, they must first rescue Tarek. The Empowered Illuminate is an important component to their success in defeating their enemy.
The final installment of The White Road Chronicles leads Alyra and her friends to the Mountain stronghold of Racah for a final confrontation with the cruel ruler, Darnel.

Hello friends- Welcome to my Goodreads Story World. I hope you’ll have a stroll around at all the sweet, inspirational stories on my shelves. One never knows what new adventure awaits them around the next corner.
I am the author of over 35 books in various genres: fantasy, romance, children’s & non-fiction. I write as Jackie Castle & J.R. Castle.
I love exploring my story worlds and, even more, I love God. We’ve had such an interesting journey and there is still so much ahead. I’m always looking for the extraordinary in the ordinary and believe this life is full of unlimited possibilities.

I’m so sad this series is over! What a wild, wonderful ride it was!
I love this book, all of these characters (except Darnel, let’s be real, lol), this whole series, everything about it while flawed at times was perfect and just what I needed at this time in my life and I just know they will continue to encourage me every time I read them.
Were there some parts I wish were clarified or expanded upon more? Was the final confrontation with Darnel a bit short? Yes, but it also gives a decent end/send off for both readers and characters which a LOT of books nowadays drop the ball on and tied up all its loose threads, not to mention it inspired and helped me through one of the most extremely tough times in my life. So, yes, there are flaws and things I wish were longer or more detailed on, but I love it anyways, which just goes to show a book doesn’t have to be perfect to connect with readers.
I’m going to miss these characters and this world, and I can now confidently say this is my second all time favorite Christian fantasy series EVER (the first being the Ilyon Chronicles by Jaye L. Knight) which is a high honor from me as I don’t give out the title of “favorite” lightly, but I mean it for this series with my whole heart. I will be for sure getting physical copies and reading them all over again—this is a hidden gem in Christian fantasy and one I HIGHLY recommend and encourage others check out, flaws and all.
I love this series and am so so glad God nudged me to read it this year in its entirety!

I can honestly say this book series was one of the best I've read. It kept me interested the entire time. Unfortunately this author gave up three-quarters through this last book. There was so much built up about the dragons then nothing, so much build-up about the prophecy and it wasn't even fulfilled by either of them. So much built up about Katrina's parents and history then nothing. It was almost as if the author said I'm done writing so I'm just going to stop here and just give you the end of the story in epilogue fashion. A lot of questions go unanswered. I wish the author would have taken more time to answer questions that were built up through the entire series. Great series disappointing ending.
Do you like Lord of the Rings? This is a 6 book series based on Christian values, with plenty of action, some romance and a very happy and satisfying ending. I recommend starting with book 1, in fact just go ahead and buy all 6 books. You will find that you can't stop reading until you get to the last page of book 6. An excellent series and I strongly recommend it.
Ablaze is the perfect ending to the White Road Chronicles. It doesn't disappoint! Always of the loveable characters survive and happily. Modern fiction rarely has happy endings, and it is so refreshing and uplifting to read a happy ending instead an ending that is dark and unsettling.
Everything comes to a head and everyone will deal with the consequences. What can be shaken will be and what cannot will remain. I do hope that is cryptic enough to satisfy you. A worthy read, and I do so hope for more!
This is the last book in the series and it was awesome! The story is full of battles, love interests and the fight for good and evil. A great ending to a great series! Great work jackie!
Oh, this was the best series I’ve read in a long time. Loved the characters and the intricacies of the plot. I must say Katrina was my most favorite character.
Just finished "Ablaze", best ending of a series I've ever read! Thanks for the incredible journey through the "The White Road Chronicles", my favorite, thus far! Bless you Jackie for this awesome series!
