There could be many reasons why you’re drawn to this book — or perhaps synchronicity had a part to play in that this book somehow found you!
Are you looking for answers as to what happens to your loved ones after they’ve passed? Perhaps you’re wondering what you should do after having had your own psychic experience. Whether you’re a student of psychic studies or a practicing medium, a believer or a skeptic, or someone who is bereaved as a result of a loss, this book was written to provide you with all the answers to your questions about the Other-Side.
In Bridging Two Realms , renowned psychic medium John Holland offers one of the clearest pictures anyone could have of the Spirit World. He draws on his decades of personal experiences with Spirit, and includes inspirational stories and real-life case studies, to help you pursue the unfoldment of your own spiritual abilities safely and wisely. His hope is to help the bereaved by giving them comfort and inspiration in knowing that there really is life after physical death. There is evidence of the Spirit World and what happens in those spiritual realms. Your loved ones are just a thought away, and you can still communicate with them. They’re still close, and they often try to reach out to us to lend their love and support.
Ultimately, you will learn that mediumship is not just about connecting to the Spirit World; it’s just as much about helping and healing the living. There are spiritual bridges that can be built to connect to your loved ones who have passed, as well as the most important bridge of all: the bridge to your own spirit.
John Holland is an internationally renowned psychic medium and spiritual teacher. He has been lecturing, teaching, demonstrating, and reading for private clients for over 17 years. He's dedicated to the ongoing development of his unique gift and brings real integrity to his profession. John says, "If I can help people connect with someone on the other side, and bring peace, comfort, and perhaps some closure, then I've done my job."
Great book. It covers a wide range of subjects ranging from Psychic to Mediumship in a comprehensive and thorough manner. I highly recommend this book for all.
This wok has several audiences: the bereaved who desire connection with a lost loved one, those wishing to develop their pwn psychic and medium abilities, and the curious. The author's primary message to comfort readers with the belief that life continues after death and loved ones remain connected spiritually. The book was more about the how to consult and become a practicing medium than I anticipated.
From the title, I was personally looking for more information about communicating with the reader's own loved ones, and much of the guidance and exercises are more geared toward receiving messages with stranger's loved ones. Parts of the book were largely repetitive, and contradictory (such as advise not to get more than yes/no validation from subjects getting a spirit "reading", and then giving detailed validation in his accounts to confirm and validate the authenticity of spirit communication for readers. Likewise, some of the exercises (seeing auras, for instance) seemed so controlled that I personally was skeptical that the phenomenon didn't have another explanation. This room for question was supported by a factual omission that raised questions about the naivety of the text as a whole.
My largest criticism regards the chapter on the history of spiritualism. The author gives only a partial account of the Fox sisters' history. He completely leaves out the fact that one of the sisters confessed that their medium performances were a hoax, as well as evidence that the skeleton that validates their communication was also probably a hoax. This slanted telling is extremely problematic for this book. It serves to raise overall doubt rather than support veracity, which is unfortunate. My criticism is not to impugn on the reputation of spiritualism as a whole, or even the reality of the author's abilities. My point is rather: if the account of the Fox sisters had been fully acknowledged (even in those aspects that question the realty of their medium abilities), it would have rather set-up the author's account of his own mediumship as objective. Instead, this glaring omission raises skepticism and it makes room for the read to ask if the author's mediumship is more show and sham than true experience. Not fully acknowledging the history of one prominent and possible hoax and holding it up as a pillar, is ultimately a fatal flaw for the success of the book and undercuts its messages.
These flaws aside, the book does contain much spiritual knowledge and wonder, as well as ideas and beliefs that resonate with my own intuition.
I don’t remember how many psychic books I’ve read. Some of which claim to be “the only psychic book you’ll ever need”. I’ve found some wisdom in some of them, but nothing like this book. It has nothing that I could have skipped, nothing crazy or egocentric. Pure love, wisdom, beautiful and simple, yet powerful exercises, answers to my sensibility and kindness coming from a humble and beautiful messenger of my beloved and life-long-searched-for Spirit Realm. So big, big thanks to John, my soul was so ready and thirsty for this. PS. The Bridge meditation is beautiful and powerful.
Either way I believe both will get something out of this book. I rarely have faith that mediums are legitimate. It is unusual for me to be a believer in a "psychic". It is the way he writes that makes me believe he is honest and truthful. Might sound crazy but I don't have any doubt that he is being honest and truthful and really wants to help and has the ability to do what he says. Thoroughly enjoyable read.
If you like spiritual books or books about connecting with the other side, you'll enjoy this book. John is gentle and kindness exudes throughout the book, and yet he is direct and clear about things. If you want to develop abilities, or are interested in understanding the process a medium goes through, this is a great book. He gives step by step suggestions but what's best are his suggestions on ethics and working with integrity.
After attending the Hay House event in Toronto and learning from John Holland for a day, I found my eagerness to learn from him even stronger. I had read a previous book years ago (cannot recall the title now) and wanted to read more from his amazing base of wisdom and now I have most all of his books, which I can say Bridging Two Realms has been an extraordinary guide to enhancing my mediumship skills and I will recommend it to anyone that asks about doing so for themselves or starting to learn; oh, yes and that includes those who are currently working as a medium and want a refresher and encouragement. John has a compassionate way of writing, sharing his knowledge as openly as I found both encouraging and inspiring for my own work and more-so a source that offers validation for "doing things right" or "here's how it can be honed even further". This book served as a whetting of my appetite to keep reading John's books AND to get busy with the audio courses I also purchased but have not yet begun for mediumship. I can say without a doubt, for ME, John Holland is my #1 go-to guide for mediumship (that is not to discount any of the many hundreds of other mediums/authors who are wonderful teachers, too.) and the reason is more than just his books; but during the class in Toronto he presented a meditation journey that I found myself deeper and more intensely invested in the journey experience than I think I have ever done in a class situation due to all the distractions of all kinds--In John's voice I found a gentleness that made me feel protected, safe to go that deep and to TRUST fully in both his guidance to the deepest level I've ever been, but also to trust that he was working on a level of heart and soul I cannot put into words -- So do I recommend his books and classes? INDEED, I DO! Thank you more than I can express, John Holland!!!!
If you're a believer or not, you'll find this to to be interesting and informative. The author fully explains each step along the way of what he believes to happen after death to the spirit world. This is well written and also well researched.
A friend loaned me this book since she and I are going to see John Holland in a few weeks. I'm glad she did. Holland has a very friendly, gentle style of writing and explaining his profession. Now I'm looking even more forward to see Holland than I was before.
This book gave me great insight into further developing my abilities. It was written in a very easy to understand way. I look forward to applying them to my life.
Such a genuinely nice guy. Thank you Mr Holland for the insight I gained from reading your book. I truly mean that. Read this book or you don’t know what you are missing. Outstanding.....
I appreciated all if the information, lessons, and advice that were provided in this book. However, it was the stories of the author's experiences that moved me the most and gave me hope. He put all the lessons he was teaching into a thorough example. A real pleasure to read this.
Easy to read and understand. Peaceful and unhurried, the author is great at explaining how he works and how others can connect to their loved ones spirits. The one thing I didn’t understand or buy into was that he has had children come through that passed to tell their parents they are attending school in the afterlife. That didn’t make sense to me at all but otherwise a great book that made me feel at peace.
This is a practical and useful guide to help navigate through the psychic realms of the afterlife. John speaks from experience and is a trusted source.
