Good potential but room for improvements

The story of Sebastian and Sydney was just okay and a little under developed. It wasn't enough story to be read as much as there were a lot of sex scenes to read. I enjoy reading about it, but it can be too much when it seems like on 3-4 pages of each chapter. The characters came off too immature to be the professionals they were, and they just felt kinda rushed. I didn't understand dedicating a chapter to the exes when they weren't relevant to the story after their mentions, and didn't understand how an operative like Sydney never did find out about Jonathan's side activities once her double life was revealed. It had plenty of sex but that got old after awhile, and I skipped over a lot of it. It was like sex was all they did besides arguing. They didn't communicate very well and wasn't trustful with and of each other. It got very repetitive to hear why they couldn't be together and how her parents were described. It seemed like it was told every chapter. The break up to make up to break up again got a lot old and very tiring. The Felder situation was a little confusing, even though it brought a little action to the story. I read the story but really didn't feel the connection with the characters...too much telling the story and not enough of me feeling the story. The editor should have caught a lot of the grammatical errors and wrong usage of the words (e.g. sense instead of since). The synopsis had me ready to read this book and the book cover helped drew me in. I really wanted to love this book, but unfortunately, I can only semi-like it. This story has good potential, but there is a lot of room for improvements.

This book is a complete waste of time. It is something a high school student could have written...brand name dropping every other paragraph, fixation on money, dialogue that is neither age or status appropriate for the characters as the author described them. The repeated references to Sydney's outward "beauty" just made me want to scream. Sydney is the lead female character. How many times can Sydney, in describing herself, say "my beauty" and go on about her clothes, shoes, jewlry, wigs and weaves!!! Shallow, shallow, and just more shallow.

Why would Sebastian a white, 27 yr old, tech millionaire, and MIT grad be dressed in a dark blue pink pinstriped suit with rose colored lenses in his designer sunglasses, and arrange to be driven around in a pink Bentley?

The whole book is Sydney saying how she loves Sebastian but can not be with him because she has to marry a black man or be disowned by her black family for being a race traitor. Oh, as a high powered successful lawyer in her late 20s she is still living by the rules set by her parents. Give me a break!!! Sydney set rules like no public touching or affection because people will look or stare at them. Well, yeah, interracial couples in most places get a few looks (probably more so in the south where this book is set). Most of these couples just keep it moving, loving who they love.

4.5 Star review of
Relentless Chase by Posey Parks

This was my first book by Posey Parks and can’t I wait to read more. This book is the first in the series and ends in a cliff hanger so be prepared. This book has some HOT romance and the chemistry between the characters is amazing. It is an interracial relationship that has everyday struggles of being accepted by her parents and society. It also has a mystery/danger side to it that I didn’t see coming.
Sydney is a very beautiful and independent attorney who is struggling in a relationship because they don’t see eye to eye about marriage and family. When she bumps into Sebastian there is an instant spark and he will not stop until her gets to know her better.
Sebastian is a mysterious and very sexy alpha male, he is also a Software Tycoon. He pulls out all the stops to get to know Sydney. He hires her as his business attorney in hopes of getting closer to her.
When these too sexy characters give into the connection between them and put the insecurities aside they are perfect together. But will it be enough or will it break them? Also, will the secrets that they both keep be the breaking point for this couple?

WOOOOOOOO!!!!!!

Posey has definitely hit it out of the park with this phenomenal book. The dynamics of the characters certainly made for a very interesting read, that also kept me reading till the very end wanting to know what's going to happen. Let's not mention all the revelations that we were shown in the book that just left us filled with drama and intrigue. The chemistry between Sydney and Sebastian was smoking hot, that left you wanting to read more of them. Not even Jonathan can come close to these two individuals. I loved how we are shown another side of prejudices that we don't normally see very often and how the characters are dealing with it. I'm very much looking forward to seeing where Posey takes the characters and especially how she reveal all that is in the background with everyone's life. I am counting down the days till all is revealed and one a side note the book cover was AMAZING!!! I would love to say more but I don't want to give away any spoilers, I highly recommend this book especially if you love reading about kick ass females and intriguing alpha males. You won't be disappointed.

This book touches on a subject that may be hard to read for some people. Thinking of disowning my child because they choose to love outside our race is something I could never do. I have three interracial grand babies and I would disown anyone who couldn't accept them. They are my heart, regardless of the color of their skin. Sebastian however, is great BF material. The female lead drove me a Little batty with her back and forth. Why Sebastian fought so hard I'm not sure. But, the storyline itself will keep you interested. A little mystery toward the end gives it a twist that you don't see coming. I did like that the female lead was a strong independent woman. FYI this book ends in a cliffhanger. And a pretty major one. I am hoping in the second book the Author moves on from all the relationship issues. I felt like the problems with her families believes went on too long, and made the book drag out. I'm on the fence on rather I would read a second book at this point.

I voluntarily read an ARC in exchange for a honest review.

This is my review and how I see it. Well, this book had a lot of angst with the characters involved and some parts were left unfinished such as Jonathan; did he find out that Sydney had moved on. Stephanie is definitely in denial about Sebastian. Wow, I did not see that coming at all with Sebastian. Talk about I need to read the next book coming like yesterday.

Will these two make it? I mean their relationship was doomed from the start; with her parents only wanting her to find love with a 'black man,' so much so that if she fell in love with someone who is not black they would literally disown her.

Bring on book two, I need to see how this will all play out. Hopefully, there is a happy ever after for Sydney and Sebastian. Right now things are not looking too good.

This is my review and how I see it.

Things are not always what they seem!

I did not see that one coming. I was taken by surprise to find out that Sebastian and Sydney have more in common than they knew.

This book left a lot of things to be told and I guess that will be revealed in future books. Sydney was a little nerve-racking, being so concerned with what her parents would say. She must not have really wanted her HEA that bad if she would let others dictate her happiness. Sebastian, on the other hand, knew exactly what he wanted and did not care what others thought of his relationship with Sydney.

Posey wrote a very interesting story that was well thought out and full of attention-grabbing drama and mystery. I can't wait to find out more about Johnathan, Stephanie and Syd's parents and Sam too!

Sebastian, a sexy Software Tycoon and Sydney, a beautiful, successful attorney have scorching chemistry together. Their only problem, her family doesn't want them together. This is a good read but I needed the first few chapters to get into the story but once it got going the book got better. Relentless Chase is my first book by Posey Parks but I will be looking for the next book in this series. I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book for CP Reviewers.

Attorney-client privilege

This was my first read by this author and I enjoyed reading this book. Sydney did get on my nerves from time to time. Sebastian was a bit obsessed and stalkerish, but overall the book kept me engaged. The book could have definitely used another round of editing because I noticed a significant amount of errors. I was a bit confused by the whole terrorist plot, and wish there wasn't a cliffhanger. Book 2 needs to come out ASAP.

Wow!!!!!

What a book!!!!
The part starts off with real life situations. Woman loves man. Man don't want commitment nor kids. Woman wants that. Woman leaves man and meets Sex on legs. Sex on legs is white and woman's family will disown her if she dates outside of her race.

That is when it all goes down. This is a one handed read. Sexy. Hot. Have you on the edge of your seat, with unexpectant turn of events.

The cliffhanger had me like wtf though. Off to read book 2.

It took me a few pages to get into this book, yet once I had, it was instant love!!
There were a few grammatical errors and spelling mistakes but you will hardly notice them as you'll be enthralled by the storyline.
I really don't want to give any spoilers away as it's such a great read you need to read it for yourself, therefore this review is quite hard to write..
I love Sebastian, the way he knows exactly what he wants and isn't afraid to go out and get it!
I love how Sydney stays true to herself.
I really enjoyed this book, I would definitely recommend it.
I can't wait for the next book!! Give me more Sebastian!!!!

I have enjoyed (somewhat) reading this story. Sebastian seems to be a good guy and Sydney has been frustrating me throughout because of her fears in upsetting her parents. I fully understand why however she is an adult and it is her life! For her to avoid and put aside her feelings for Sebastian because of her parents not wanting her to love him is silly. Anyway, I will not spoil this story for readers. I am going to move on to the next book in this series and hopefully Sebastian and Sydney will be together as they should!

This book did not work for me. I read the previews and was impressed by the book cover. I ended up disappointed. The overall book did not flow smoothly and was choppy. It was overly detailed and could have been streamlined. There were also a lot of grammatical errors. Sydney was so annoying, confusing, and hypocritical. I wish Sebastian could muster up enough courage and just leave her wishy washy ways alone.

I was not impressed.

This story was all over the place. Sebastian did not depict me as an Alpha and Sydney was too flighty.
In some passages They appeared to be immature and not that of a couple in their late 20s. I couldn’t take Sydney’s indecisiveness of wanting to be in a relationship with Sebastian and her need to satisfy her parents wishes.

I will read the 2nd book because I am a gluttony for punishment. 🤷🏾‍♀️

Following Your Mind and Heart

This is a good storyline, filed with angst, intrigue and a lot of steam and heat. This book dealt with social issues and making your own choices. A likeable H/h, a strong, sassy heroine and a strong charismatic hero. I look forward to reading the next book.

Turn it up

Kept my interest. I really enjoyed the storyline and wanted to see where this relationship was going. Glad to see a story where the parents of the Heroine had problems with the relationship. Wonder how they are going to work through it?
Looking forward to the next book.

Grammar and other editing errors were the reason for only 3 stars. The characters were a little immature for them being professional in my opinion. The chapters with the exes and the continuous breakup and makeup and breakup and makeup made for a repetitive story. I was really hoping to enjoy this book but I just couldn't get into it.

Double life

Wow! The first few chapters moved slowly but by the end was hooked. Sydney and Sebastian are both living a double life which makes it almost impossible for them to trust each other. I look forward to the second book.

Nice twist

The twist was nice but a little unbelievable and unnecessary. There was already enough drama with the exes and prejudices. Book two will hopefully tie everything together.
