The title describes Danny Best's character with an agreeable Australian phrase. However, implicit within the suggestion he is always right there also lies an underlying inference he might in fact be wrong - with some things. Afterall, he does have an exaggerated sense of self-esteem. Danny tests his ‘stress-head’ mother by twisting her ‘wooden statue’ doll’s arms into crazy postures until an incident occurs elevating his annoying sister, Bella’s, status. Next, he goes on a mission with his sidekick, Fabrio ‘Fab’ Delotti. Could this adventure end in a reversal of intent? Unassuming, Fab pairs up as his bestie adopts team leader status. They embark on a not-so-well-planned mission. From the outset, the map of Zig Zag Street via Goggle Earth, and the supporting pictures of the scribbly guy, and other characters, enhance a madcap adventure. Mitch Vane’s illustrations support the story with fun comic humour.

Author Jen Storer's Danny Best is a larger than life character who believes he is a total legend, best by name and best by nature. Danny shares four over-exaggerated humourous short stories about his family, his friends and his school life. Each story is told through Danny's eyes.

Danny Best Never Wrong is perfect for independent readers who are ready for chapter books. Read these humorous stories aloud to Year 2-Year 4 classes and challenge them to develop their own cartoon characters and creative adventures.
