Donovan Bain is haunted by his past. One of the few remaining lion shifters, he’s struggled with his ability to fit in. Long runs, solitary hunts, and no female companionship has been his way of life since escaping the cages of his childhood. When he finally settled in Eagle Creek, Alaska, he never thought he’d call this place home. After all, a home meant family and friends and mates—something Donovan never realized he needed. Until he met Mariah.

Mariah Stillwater just wanted a new life. Tired of her coyote pack and dealing with her alpha father, Mariah fled in search of her independence. A failed attempt at college sent her away from the big city and had her questioning her worth. And camping out in the woods near a group of misfit shifters, lusting after a particularly sexy lion, isn’t helping her confidence. Donovan doesn’t know who she is. Why would he ever remember a lonely coyote he met one day several months ago?

The time for anonymity has come to end. Registration requirements for all shifters have become stricter and the camp at Eagle Creek is a perfect target for the new government agency responsible for the process. Donovan, Mariah, and the rest of the group must decide if it’s worth the fight, knowing their easy-going life will change forever. With Mariah by his side, Donovan is ready to face the challenge. But it won’t be an easy road, as every shifter in the camp must question their future…especially Mariah and Donovan.

Warning: This story contains alpha males, sensual shifters, and delicious romance ready to be devoured. It is intended for a mature audience.

Note: This is a stand-alone novel, and is the 1st book in The Shifters of Eagle Creek series, but it is also part of a greater series, The Shifters of Alaska World.

Donovan is the first book in Ashlee Sinn’s new series called The Shifters of Eagle Creek. This is a spinoff from Ashlee Sinn’s Alaska Shifter Series, in which we were originally introduced to the characters of this story.
Donovan is a broken lion shifter who has been living in Eagle Creek for the past 5 years. In that time he has stuck mostly to himself and his two friends, Marcus and Rhys, and they have formed a non-pack. Mariah is a packless, coyote skin-walker and daughter to a Coyote Alpha. She has spent the last few months camping in Eagle Creek trying to figure out what she wants to do with herself. Life around Donovan and Mariah is unstructured and unpredicted, but they both agree that they are strongly drawn and attracted to each other. Donovan an Mariah are a cute couple that work together to stop the government from destroying what they’ve built. This is a good quick love story about never giving up and taking chances. It’s a great beginning to a new series. I can’t wait to read Marcus’ story.
All the books in Ashlee Sinn’ series contain a happily ever after and can be read as a standalone, however, reading it in order will give you a better appreciation for the characters and the series itself.

The Shifters of Eagle Creek promises to be a great new series by Ashlee Sinn. Following on the heels of The Alaska Shifters series, Donovan and his coyote skinwalker Mariah resume their partnership as they help forge The Shifters of Eagle Creek into a cohesive clan. Donovan is a perfect broken hero who finds healing and redemption in the strong arms of his fated mate. Together with Rhys and Maximus, they will be the perfect team to lead their clan through the troubling days of Shifter registration and undisguised bigotry.
Ms. Sinn wrirtes well and the reader can get a good sense of the depth of feeling between these four. Their loyalty and love is a palpable thing. I highly recommend this book.

Like the different shifters joining together

A lion shifter with a past as a captive fighter and a coyote skin walker who feels restricted under her alpha father. Can Donovan and Maria build a meaningful relationship?
Donovon, Max and Rhys live in the back country of Alaska. Many different shifters who want to avoid their pasts for some reason pass through. Right now there are lions, lynx, coyote, panthers, wolves, eagles and ravens. They are all misfits but the government has now decided they have to form a group and officially register with them.
There is trouble brewing while Maria tries to help Donovan move on from his past. The different species needs to come together as a crew with an alpha to survive.
Interesting story. I will be reading about Max next.

This was a very enjoyable shifter romance, set in Eagle Creek in Alaska, this is a nice spin of series to The Alaska Shifters series some of the characters are known from the Alaska Shifter series and others are new, I can see this being a fun and enjoyable series with lots of interesting characters and lots of fun adventures down the road. If you enjoy a fun shifter romance with sweet and sexy characters then this book is for you.

I received a copy of this book and voluntarily chose to review.

Donovan has finally escaped the hell that was his life and is enjoying the peace of his new life when it all goes to hell and in she comes with it. It's explosive, it's crazy, it's not what either of them had in mind but it works and so do they as they bring their group of misfits closer. If they can make it thru it all they may find what neither knew they were missing. Great story I love these misfits and it's just sexy enough in this short story filled with excitement, fun and family.

Donovan

Enjoyed the story. Mariah was great.. Good head on her shoulders, strong women. Donovan had been through a lot in his life. While you get the basics about Donovan's past I wish we would have learned a little more.
