After seeing all the great reviews, I was disappointed that it didn't live up to all the hype. While I enjoyed it in the most part, the issue for me is that the author never gave us much in terms of their past relationship. They were suppose to have been boyfriend/girlfriend throughout high school and college years (10+ years) but never had sex until the "incident" where the book starts of on. So was Pierce faithful to Ari all this time? He seemed to be too experienced where Ari was a virgin. Then the other issue I had is that these two were suppose to have loved each other (soulmates and all that...), but Ari's excuse for breaking up with him was because the cops saw her naked & his was because daddy shipped him to the navy. Too lame.
Then we have hero immediately screw women after the breakup and when he returns, he never reaches out to Ari or even thinks about her at all until she shows up on his door, so we are suppose to think Ari is his great love? Even when they reconnected, they seemed to be more old friends then true loves. Speaking of which, Ari told Pierce 3 times "I love You" that I counted and he said it back only once in the end.
Other issues for me is when he first learns he was a father, he never gives any thought to who the little girl's mother may be or why she gave her away and he never asks the big question why Ari is not hurt that he supposedly has a child with another woman.
Then we have all the sex scenes with Ari in which Pierce never once uses protection (nor Ari) so I kept thinking throughout the story "does this guy ever think about protection? Did he use any with all his other hookups and will there be more babies showing up on his door?".
All in all, it was an all right read but not very memorable or that I would want to read again.

Ever read a synopsis, knew you wanted to read the book then started it and realized it was 100% better than you could ever imagine... yup that is this book. Let's just say there is so much more to this story than a hurt seal, his ex girlfriend and his little baby girl.... just read it!

Who is Roget Bailey ? Who is Leo and Danny ? How is a Sebastian "Angel " Cannizzo is tied into the situation? Is there a HEA for Pierce , Arie and baby girl Chloe ? I wish I could give this book a higher rating than 5 stars . I absolutely love and recommend this book to everyone 😆 😙 The strong structure storyline and well developed characters and supporting characters brilliant exquisitely well written . WOW!!!! What a great story. I have read books by Lexi Whitlow but never Jess Bentley. I truly did love this story. This is about a young men who learns to grow up. Though some might feel his dad was harsh I believe it was fate stepping in preparing him for what was to come.
When we first meet Pierce he like most young men are controlled by one body part. He was immature and did not know responsibility. I believe the younger version of Pierce loved Arie. I just believe he was to immature to appreciate and cherish what he had.
I can only imagine how hard it was for Arie to walk away from Pierce. What she did not know is her life will forever be changed. She will have to learn to be a single mother but that will not her greatest battle. She will become very sick and have to give up her daughter.
I can only imagine how shocked Pierce was to find out he was going to be a single father. His was trying to come to grips over what happened in the Navy and now he has to learn to be a father. This had to be overwhelming for him.
Arie will make some serious mistakes and now her life is in danger. She is hiding secrets and her past from Pierce. But this does not top the biggest secret of them all.
I love how no matter how many blows Pierce takes he still loves Arie and wants to keep her safe. He will fight for her if need be. He will have to use all his resources but will it be enough?
These two will go through so much. Once things start to look up they face another blow. This book is about learning to grow up, learning to appreciate what is right before you, and learning what real love really is. This is a book I would recommend.

Wow, this book checks all the right boxes: Hot injured, hero SEAL, a secret baby with this first and only true love, a Billionaire bad boy with a reputation to repair, danger from the mob and so many more twists and turns that will keep you cheering and hoping for everyone's HEA but that is not a guarantee. Pierce was forced to join the Navy after one too many "incidents" as his father would call them and while he believes he found his calling as a Navy SEAL, fate has other plans and he suffers a career ending injury on his first mission. Life has not been easy for Arie since the night Pierce took her virginity and was hauled away in handcuffs and now due to some serious health problems, Arie makes several desperate decisions that will alter both of their lives. She signs her parental rights to her daughter away to Pierce but he can never know that while he is the father, he must never know that the little girl was conceived on their only night together. Through another twist of fate Arie's health improves and desperate to be a part of her daughter's life, she convinces Pierce to hire her as the little girl's Nanny. This book is worth the read and the story was one I enjoyed

A Perfect Seal is an awesome story!! I enjoyed Pierce and Arie's story so much. It doesn't start out great for Pierce and Arie and circumstances force them a part. Arie's life take a drastic turn for the worse and Pierce is forced into the SEALs. Time a part forces both of them to grow up into better people but they never stopped caring for each other.
Arie gets into a little trouble and finds herself on Pierce's doorstep offering to be a nanny for a daughter he just found out he had. Arie's secrets could come back to haunt her and take Pierce and his daughter away from her for good. Pierce wants to do right by his daughter and Arie now that she's back in his life and vows to find out her secrets and protect her at all costs.
Pierce is the perfect bad boy, although he grows up into a really great, sexy guy. Arie and Pierce together are just perfect and their steamy scenes leave you wishing you were Arie! You get angst, second chances, suspense, hot passion, and a sweet romance with A Perfect Seal. I highly recommend this read! I voluntarily reviewed an advanced readers copy of this book.

Sometimes, if you are lucky, a story will come along and absolutely blow you away. This is one of those times. A beautiful, heartbreaking/heartwarming story with lots of drama, twists and turns and yes, it made me cry too.
Pierce Cochran has always loved Arie, wants her , needs her but she has wanted to wait to be married. Fate takes a hand , emotions get involved , situations arise and they are split up and Arie left pregnant. What happens after that will just blow your mind. Arie has major decisions to make that left me with a lump in my throat. Now Pierce has to man up, look after his child and Arie becomes his child's nanny. This is such a rollercoaster of a story. Because of earlier decisions in their lives, it has now had a domino effect. All the while all you want is for them to be happy and turmoil free. A fantastic read and one you won't forget in a hurry. Loved it.

Pierce is really hard to like. He is arrogant, self centered and out of control. Then his father steps in and Pierce turns his life around, then one night the life he has come to know is changed. After one very big mistake Ari's life is changed in a big way, but that has made her a strong, independent woman that life keeps throwing lemons at. When things become too much for Ari she does the only thing she can, she gives everything up. When Pierce and Ari meet up again the sparks fly but there are a lot of secrets and the question is can Ari and Pierce overcome them? I enjoyed this book but can understand why some did not like it, it can be a little far fetched. Sometimes things become really hard to believe, but I'm okay with that. Sometimes Pierce and Ari are hard to connect with. In my opinion it was worth reading but I understand why some of the reviews had a hard time with this book. I read this on Kindle Unlimited.

A great new read from Jess Bentley and Lexi Whitlow! Pierce and Arie have been together for a long time, but when life pulls them apart they will each have rough roads ahead of them to find their way back to each other. When the night of Pierce's college graduation comes it brings a milestone to the relationship between him and Arie, but when that milestone is crashed in on by a group of police officers set to arrest Pierce it will send Pierce off to the Navy and Arie away from him. Life for the other is no bowl of cherries with Pierce leaving a piece of him behind. Arie struggles to be the woman she needs to be, in the face of an illness, and that sends her back in to Pierce's life. The reunion between them is full of revelations and an adorable little girl that is both their worlds. I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book.

This is my first book by Jess Bentley and I did not regret it at all.
This is one of those books I normally avoid. The kind that will break your heart and make you cry. I am so glad that I didn't. I thought this was going to be another steamy seal/second-chance/secret baby cliche, but this was completely different.
I loved this book so much that I didn't want to put it down until I reached the last page. There are humor, laughs, tears, steamy hot scenes and lots of romance.
The main characters has a great well described chemistry between them but they also both have a past that they have to handle before they can have a future together.
If you are like me and usually avoid books with this much emotion DON'T MISS this book because of it. This book is so worth the ride!!!!

I am voluntarily reviewing A Perfect SEAL by Jess Bentley for receiving an ARC
OMG What a great book. Jess is a great author and this book is proof.
I can't imagine what it would be like to have a baby on my own and be that sick only to find out a year later that I am going to die so I give up all rights to my baby and have a lawyer hand her over to her father but under the condition he never know who the mother is. And then to have borrowed money from loan sharks besides. Then you find out that you were misdiagnosed and are going to live and now you have no rights to your daughter and you owe a lot of money to loan sharks and have no job. How will you pay them back before they kill you and will you ever see your daughter again?
It had me laughing at times and tears in my eyes at times.

I was drawn in right from the beginning and could not put this book down. What should have been a great night for both Pierce and Arie, turned out to be one of the worst nights for both of them and brought about the end of their relationship.....or was it?? A baby, an illness, an injury, a mystery, all of these bring these two lovers back together and give them a second chance at love. My reason for not giving this book 5 stars is because there was an incredible amount of spelling mistakes and missing words, or wrong tenses, throughout the entire book. A bit of extra editing would have gone a long way. I was given an ARC for an honest review.

Pierce and Arie were high school sweethearts but they parted under a very dark cloud, Arie was heart broken and unknown to her pregnant and Pierce went off to join the Navy. Turns of events spiral for Arie is left with some heartwrenching decisions that you will certainly need tissues and yes it made me cry. Pierce is injured and returns home to recuperate and then join the family business but he struggles with it all. This is a brilliant story with lots of twists and turns that you definitely won't see happening and you will want everything to change for them....... but you will have to read it to found out.

This book touches on so many different themes, it's hard to know where to start listing them off; virgin, powerful rich man, second-chance love, secret baby, wounded military hero, romantic suspense. It's got a little bit of everything and it all blends seamlessly into a compelling whole. I really enjoyed watching Pierce develop into a man worthy of respect and Arie learn to trust him again. There's also several dynamic secondary characters in here that I hope we'll be reading about in the future.

I feel for Arie in this story, to love someone so completely and then to have the man you love made to leave. Then finding out your pregnant and having to do the right thing for that child and for yourself. Pierce is the man that she has loved for years. He is now without Arie and taking care of a baby and in need of a nanny.
This is a beautifully written second chance story, it has heartache, compassion, understanding, and love. I enjoyed this story so much. I voluntarily read an advance reader copy for my honest review.

I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book. I really enjoyed this book. It had some twists and turns you didn't expect or didn't want to be the case. Arie went through a lot, alone as a single mom and dealing with an illness, while Pierce was recovering from an injury that occurred when he was an active duty Navy SEAL. They come together and work to figure a way through life's obstacles, which for them, there are many. A great collaboration between 2 amazing authors!

I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book. I loved this book. I was hooked from the beginning by Pierce and Arie's story. I have read a few of Ms Bentley's book and have enjoyed them. This is the first time I have read Ms Whitlow's and I must say I really liked this book. I found the story to be well written and though out. The characters had such great chemistry. I liked how even though they were separated not by their own choice it seems they were able to connect again. This was a secy, hot and steamy read with a great HEA.

I didn't care for either main character. He was a douche at the beginning and while he improved she got worse. I felt bad for her problems but her decisions were questionable at best even for someone who was incredibly ill. Them getting back together just felt weird and the end was strange and I couldn't quite make sense of how or why it happened. It was an interesting read though.

This is a dramatic and engrossing story that I couldn't put down. Arie and Pierce are torn apart because of his temper and his father, his father makes him join the Navy and become a SEAL. But Arie has had enough anyway. They end up back together years later, but under unusual circumstances. Pierce got all of my sympathy in this story, I didn't really like Arie.

After seeing all the rave reviews, I went into this book with high expectations. Unfortunately, I was sorely disappointed. When their past relationship is discussed, there is a lot that does not get accounted for. Pierce and Ari dated for 10 years and never had sex, but when they finally do have sex, Pierce seems to be plenty experienced. Did he have sex with other people during their 10 years together? Just too many questions left unanswered in the entire story.

Love Hate Drama Suspense
This book has it all! It was free at the end of Dirty Little Secret. I loved it, so I wanted to leave a review. I could not read it fast enough but was sad when it was over! This book has it all! It was free at the end of Dirty Little Secret. I loved it, so I wanted to leave a review. I could not read it fast enough but was sad when it was over! This second chance romance is steaming hot! I love a strong alpha male hero, and Pierce is all that and more. Arie is a delightful heroine, a perfect match for him. Lots of drama adds a strong foundation to their romance, a love story that is enchanting with a satisfying HEA. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.

I enjoyed the story. It is a second chance at love for them. She has kept a lot of secrets and you know it is just a matter of time before it all comes out. He is really trying to have that second chance with her. They have great chemistry and you root for them to find their way to a future as a family.

Here we have a twist on your single daddy, Seal, second chance romance with Pierce and Arie. There was so much emotion in this story. I couldn't stop reading once I started. Loved the storyline, the characters, and ending! Amazing read! Enjoy!!!

I truly loved this book. It is well written and I loved the story line. It was a great story. This is a quick and easy read I did it in one sitting. It was an afternoon read. I encourage everyone to get this book it is worth your time and effort. I enjoyed this book. I think you would love this book.
