Kathleen Brooks never disappoints. A little mystery, a little action, a sweet love story, and a whole town willing to do battle for one their own. I just love these stories.

Unbelievable, there are so many unrealistic pages n lines. How can u believe it? This is scientific fiction not romance.

The town always lovely, people are annoying but they r adorable. Fathers, mothers n friends r really nice but... it can't be real at least the love shown in books r weak, they met in a short time then they said they were in love, then too many dramatic lines happen, the new characters just the old one but name change, then u know that nothing change, after 10+ books, maybe it's time to end it. When u talking bout the third generation, now get married n expecting, what do u think? Repeated again n again. Time to harvest, n create something new.

Final Vow 2.0

I have not been as excited and invested inn a release of Kathleen's since Final Vow. Please don't take that as a statement that the entire Bluegrass series is not one of my favorite of all times but I am referring to the non stop action and wanting to devour it in one sitting, staying up with no regards to time and turning page after page to see what will happen next. Gabe and Sloane story gave me that HECK YEAH feeling. Forgetting about the kids sleep in the next room. Kicking my legs in excitement because of what happened or in nervous tension of what could happen.

Keeneston is a town many love, a place that is family through and through. Gabe provided Sloane with something she didn't have browning up and showed her her worth. Reinforced the strength in which she allowed to slip from rehashing on rougher times. Sloane provided Gabe with the life he secretly craved. Gave him a love with no pretenses. Kathleen delivered an action packed story that provided her readers with the lady they have grown to love admiration. Family, support, lessons, and friendship. Togetherness that is lacking for many and hearts that have no choice but to connect.

Forever Concealed is the Seventh book in the Forever Bluegrass series (Bluegrass Book #21) by Kathleen Brooks. ‘Bluegrass’ combines romance and suspense, with a touch of Southern charm.
A few years ago a friend recommended this author, and her many series, to me - as she had devoured every book and absolutely loved them, singing the author’s praises from high from the hilltops. So, being an avid reader who loves discovering new authors and enticing reads, I took my friends recommendations seriously, and started amassing Ms. Brooks many books, with the plan to have a huge binge session/buddy read with my friend. But with so many books on my TBR, and new, exciting ones releasing every week, I always seemed to get pulled into other books- as these just kept piling up.
Since part of my yearly reading challenges for the past few years has been to dust off my TBR pile/s and read the books that have been languishing there the longest, I decided to finally dive in and get the series read. While I did ‘enjoy’ the books for the most part- I didn’t fall madly in love with them as my friend promised that I would. But that’s ok, I am really happy that she loves them as much as she does. But for me, they were just an ‘okay’ read.
With plenty of small-town drama, intrigue, angst, chemistry, humour, community, family, friendship, charm, mystery, tension, danger, emotion, and suspense- the stories are about finding love unexpectedly and love conquering all.
The books can all be read as standalones if you wanted, without feeling ‘lost’ or like you are missing big pieces of the picture. This is because each instalment introduces its own ‘couple’- providing plenty of romance, a dash of suspense, and some sweet development to make your heart flutter.
But I have to be honest, I found there were a few issues which detracted from my overall enjoyment of the stories/series. Such as the ‘wordiness’ which really slowed the flow of the storyline at times, as there was such an overwhelming amount of detail which didn’t really ‘add’ to or propel the story in any way, except to perhaps distract from the plot. I love details, normally- but not when there are pages of descriptions, as things tend to ‘bog’ down and the flow/pace/plot gets lost amongst the detritus- and also leads to some ‘wandering’ storylines. There were also many loose ends, for me- threads that were left hanging, or not fully woven into the storyline- which I found a bit frustrating.
I really wanted to love this series as much as my friend did…. but instead, I was left a little disappointed.
Happy reading! 📚💙

Man, can I just say I love the town of Keeneston. I wish I could just go there and meet all these people. Especially the Rose sisters. I mean come on. who wouldn't want to meet them. The whole digging around in peoples trash cans to see who's pregnant. Lol it was amazing. I'm glad we finally know who's pregnant (with a little twist thrown in there). But now I need to know who is Reagan is secretly dating. I can't wait for Layne's story to come out. It was nice to get to know her better through Sloane's point of view. And poor Piper sure has had a lot of things thrown at her, but she pulls threw. Cannot wait until she gets her own story. I really liked Sloane too. She did not take crap from anyone, she was awesome! Especially when she throws a wet rag at Ahmed's face! And Gabe, what can I say about Gabe? He was so adorable with Sloane. And when he cries at the end at the graduation scene, so cute. Who wouldn't want a prince like him. Sigh. It was nice to have his sister in it a little more. we still don't really know her all that well. But holy cow, is she someone you do not mess with. I love it! One thing I missed was Abby, Jackson, and Dylan were not in it all that much. Abby comes towards the ends and then Dylan kinda pops in, but there is no Jackson. I still don't know how I feel about that little Triangle. When I first read the perfect gift, I was like aww Abby and Jackson. And then later on Ms. Brooks has to throw in that maybe it's Dylan and Abby, and then later maybe it's Abby and Jackson, and then again Dylan and Abby. And then Ms. Brooks has to bring her ex back in. Grrrrr. That is one answer I need. Who is Abby going to choose? I personally want her will Jackson. I would be okay if she was with Dylan but since I read the Perfect Gift, I've kinda been team Jackson. I can see Dylan with someone more like his mom. I think it would be adorable to see him with someone like that. Big bad Dylan having to save the damsel in distress, trying to teach her how to fight, and shoot a gun. It would be so cute. I don't know that's just how I feel. Am I the only one who feels that way? Anywho, I can't wait until the next book comes out. I'm glad Ms. Brooks comes out with books pretty fast, but January feels like it's so far away!!!!

Overall Amanda rating: A+

Finally we see Gabe mature into who we always knew he cold be. But just for a second I want to talk about some amazing secondary characters.

King Draven: We all really want to hate him... and yet by the end of the book we can't help but picture Draco Malfoy the little boy that never stood a chance due to his parents... And I am not going to lie.... I kinda thought his character had a lot of room to grow into becoming the man He finally became.

Aniyah: Over the past few books you cannot help but love this girl! She is absolutely perfect! I mean don't give her a gun... ever... But if you ever need a girl to bring you a stash of condoms... she is your girl LOL

Veronica: She is strong, quiet, and for sure the girl you would want in your corner.

Now... Gabe: Throughout this series we have seen him as a playboy, and yet here we find that he finally found his Pepper Potts. The girl that makes him want to be a better man, a better prince, a better everything... And she is just a simple college girl in a tee working in a bar... or is she???

Sloane: I felt like given who she really is, and how far she went to hide.. she wold have been a bit of a stronger character. Compared to all the other girls in this series she isn't strong... Well the girl can shoot... but she acts scared. You wold think being the "dead" daughter of a mafia king and queen she wouldn't be shaking so bad. But then again she kinda holds her own. But Gabe gets to be the hero. I think I am okay with that. But after reading all the other books I think she is no where as strong as some of the other females.

Overall though I really liked this book

Forever Concealed

This was just an amazing addition to the Forever Bluegrass series with Prince Gabriel meeting the love of his life, Sloane Holiday, a waitress at his favorite bar. She was working there while getting her master's degree but their attraction for each other was immediate. Gabe pretended to be a student so that she could get to know him as a regular person and not a prince. As he was walking her to her car they were attacked but Gabe fought them off. Then hired thugs were shooting at them but they evaded them. The Prince thought they were trying to kill him but they were really after Sloane. She had been hiding from her terrible murderous drug dealing family, the Malones and even faked her own death but they apparently found her. Once again the town of Keenston with their many talents came together and rallied around Gabe and Sloane and saved her life in the end. This book was non stop action with twists and turns that keeps you on the edge of your seat as Gabe and Sloane get their fairytale happily ever after in this suspenseful love story. The mystery of who is pregnant in the town is revealed hilariously as well. This was just a fabulous book that I highly recommend reading. I cannot wait to read Layne's story next.

This is Gabe's story. Gabe is the son of Mo and Dani. Gabe is the Prince of fun and lovin! Gabe has no intentions of settling down or so he thought until he started to look around at his brother and his friends settling down and what they had. He began to think this was something he could get behind. Enter Sloane. Sloane is a waitress at the bar in Lexington that Gabe frequents when he wants to be "normal". Sloan is running from her past, running from her family who thinks she is dead after committing suicide. Little does she know they have found her. Gabe and Sload talk and become friends after Gabe stands up for her with a table full of drunks! As they leave the drama and suspense begins. I will say that this book downplayed the suspense and drama that were in the other books. Oh, it was there but I didn't feel it was as intense as the other books in the series but still very enjoyable. I love how the town comes together for one of their own and how they accept the person you love and welcome them into the fold. The "pantie dropper" strikes again and YES, you finally find out who is pregnant but who is it, is it one, two, maybe three you will hae to read it to find out! I cannot wait for Layne's book.

You can't help but feel happy after you finish reading one of Kathleen Brook's book that take place in Keeneston KY. A town where a stranger can become a friend when you fall in love with one of handsome, strong, sexy hometown boys. Especially if you happen to be one of the royal family and a Prince in the bargain. Of course you have to have The Rose sisters and the doting mammas and fathers at your back too. Not to mention all those kids who grew up with the Prince who treat him like he was just an ordinary person. Sloane Holiday does not know who she getting mixed up with when Gabe come to her rescue in Billy's Bar where she works. She thinks he is just another student at University like she is. When someone tries to shoot at Gabe and her, and scary looking men come out of the woodwork to protect Gabe, she knows her life will never be the same . When someone from her past starts coming after her she has know idea that a town will close ranks and protect her like one of her own.
I can't wait to find out what is in store for the next adventure, the next person on the list Matchmaking Momma's of Keeneston and who they are going to fall in love with....

Of course I loved it, it's Keeneston

Well, we've got another great read on our hand. I'm not sure what I loved more,,the romantic story of Sloane and Gabe or the funniest King ever in King Draken.

Sloane found her Prince while she was waitressing at a bar. Gabe found his princess when he wasn't even looking. This is the best type of romantic story ever.

As we do in every book, we got caught up on the town of Keeneston. We have 2 pregnancies, no word on the panty dropper, and we've added a few new "2ndary" members of our tribe. I thoroughly enjoyed the book..Aniyah still can't shoot worth a damn..Deandre and John keep outwitting each other in the gossip dept..we have another wedding..and the Rose sisters are still alive with all their antics. Kathleen continues to weave a wonderfully light romance story with plenty of wholesome family drama as well. You're always left wanting to know more and more and the characters and town become people you want to keep in constant contact with. The hardest part about reading Kathleen's book is the wait to read the next installment...but it's always worth it.

Another amazing adventure

These Keeneston books NEVER get dull. My goodness! Warning... If you've never read one of this series, you MIGHT want to start at the beginning of the series. Trust me when I say they're extremely fun to read, and a great binge. Otherwise you may be a wee but confused by all the characters and how they go together. All in all another amazing ride. Tons of intrigue, excitement, the town comes together to save one of their own.... And we finally discover who wonnthe pregnancy and wedding bets the Rose sisters had going via their new app. Tons of amazing ups and downs, a new arrogant King arrives, and it my stars the mums are all working behind the scenes to make certain they get their darned grand babies hehehe. This lovely town will pull you into it's heart within the first few pages. For such a small, off the map southern town... They certainly have a heckuva lot of intrigue constantly happening. Have fun reading, and meet the newest addition to this wacky but warmhearted town... And have fun guessing who the heck is pregnant after all. It will leave you pining for the next chapter in this towns life.... Enjoy!

I love Keensington!!!!

I will start off by saying I am hooked on these books. If you haven't read any of them before start at the beginning there are a lot of them but everyone is well worth the read and you will completely fall in love with the town and all the people in it so much so you will wish they were all real.

Gabe has always been the royal on the outer ring and known as the playboy a title he was always happy to keep up. That was until he met Sloane and found out what his parents meant when they told him it only took one brief touch to know they found the one.

Sloane has ha a tough life and has escaped some pretty terrible circumstances to make her way and earn her masters degree. Facing her fears when she forms the one thing she wants more than anything is somethings she will fight to do.

Gabe and Sloane have an unusual start and the residents of Keensington keep it fun but you don't ever want to put the book down as you have to know what happens next.

Must read series not the first generation and this new generation.

DELIGHTFULLY WONDERFUL READ!!!!!

This book was so fabulous I didn't want it to end but I know I still have some more in the series to go so I'll just suck it up and get busy enjoying my next visit to Keeneston!!! I absolutely loved this story, the humor in it is superb! Just when I didn't expect to I would find myself bursting out laughing! I loved the scene with the two girls fighting over who would get to bet first! I loved the "pantless King scene" just to name a few! Let's face it I loved every single word in this book! The romance, the suspense, the love, the family dynamics, the deep friendships, the humor, were all so beautifully written! I don't know how Kathleen does it but each book in this series gets better and better!!!! If you have not read any of the Bluegrass Books do yourself a huge favor and read just one.... They are so delightful and you will fall in love with all the characters and the town! Guaranteed!

Keenston: A place you wish existed, so you can visit there....

A Prince and a waitress.... Gotta love the writing style of Ms. Brooks. Being a huge fan of all her books, I can truly say that you will not be disappointed.

The writing is flawless! I seriously felt the strongest of emotions being yanked to the surface as I read this book. Gut-busting laughter over the antics of the infamous Rose sisters to the tear-jerking love between not just the main characters, but all of the characters. This is a standalone book, but better enjoyed in succession of the series. No cliffhangers, but some swift teasers that make you become even more anxious for the next book to come out right away. 5+++++++++ stars!

How much can one person take.Poor Sloane had to endure so much growing writhing drug lord for parents she escaped and ran for her life at 18 years old. She changed her name and started anew life. To her Ailey she was dead. But 9 years later she met the royal prince. Prince Gabe saw her at a bar by his home in Lexington and he was just drawn to her. Working on the biggest deal of his life given to him by his uncle King Driar. They shared conversations and a few laughs, until one night someone was trying to kill them. This book is full of excitement and suspense, again Kathleen Brooks did not let us down. The Keeneston family came through again. Happy ready.

This is another fabulous book in a great series. Unfortunately I was not saying very nice things about the author as I needed to go to bed but couldn't stop reading at 3 AM. ven thoug hI finally had to put the book down, I was not disappointed in the ending.
Kathlenn has a way of story telling that draws the readers in to her world and makes you want to move to the small town of Keeneston, KY. The story of a Playboy Prince Gabe and the beautifully damaged waitress Sloan took me on a journey that I didn't want to end. I look forward to reading Pipers story and anything else Kathleen puts out.

Welcome back to Keeneston. Grab a seat at the Blossom Café, order a glass of their special iced tea, and sit back and watch the shenanigans. Once again, Kathleen Brooks has charmed us with another chapter in the life of the Keeneston residents. “Forever Concealed” is Gabe’s story. The playboy prince has finally met his match in Sloane Holiday. But the path to love and forever is not always smooth – especially in Ms. Brooks’ world. Between delicately negotiating a peace treaty and trying to keep Sloane safe from her past, Gabe needs all his wits about him, along help from family and friends. Filled with Ms. Brooks’ trademark humor, teasers about upcoming books, and happily-ever-afters, “Forever Concealed” is a terrific addition to her Bluegrass Series.

Another great addition to the Forever Bluegrass series. Kathleen Brooks puts so much emotion into her stories I think that's what makes them so good. You laugh and cry within a few pages.

Gabe (HRH) was tired of being a player always going from one bed to the next. He watched his friends as they began to settle down one by one. Then his twin Zain finds love and Gabe starts to feel lonely wanting more than a one night stand.

Sloane is a waitress at a bar Gabe likes to go to blend in with "regular people". He finds he is intrigued by her. She thinks he's a college student like she is.

Both have secrets they need to reveal.

Another great story from Keeneston

I have been looking forward to this book so long and it was certainly worth the wait.
I think Gabe is now my new hero in this series because he sure treated Sloan with nothing but love and respect. The past life of Sloan's was so sad and what all the Keeneston members did to help her was above and beyond.
Of course there has to be our famous Rose sisters to bring out the comedy Kathleen is so good with inserting in just the right places.
I, for one, hope this series never ends. It is one of my favorites. This is another must read with a HEA. Highly recommend this book.

From Audible Account Review:

The Playboy Prince and the Princess of Heroin meet at a bar. ... doesn't sound like the fairy tale little girls dream of but it certainly leads to HEA.

One thing I love about all the Bluegrass books is how "when you know you know" and the insta-love isn't something that is fought very much. I've listened to a lot of the stories where the daughters are the main ones seeking approval for their man from their families and over protective fathers. It's nice to see how the future daughter-in-laws go through their own gauntlet of sorts.

Eric G. Dove is a fantastic narrator and always 5 stars from me.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ - I LOVE THIS AUTHOR!!

Forever Concealed brings the intrigue back to the forefront with Gabe Ali Rahman, a royal prince with a reputation as a playboy, who finds his life turned upside down when he meets Sloane Holiday, a woman who doesn’t know who he is. As their connection deepens, Gabe is forced to confront his own desires and the consequences of keeping his true identity hidden.
The book delves into the complexities of love, trust, and secrets, with plenty of suspense and thrilling moments. Gabe and Sloane’s relationship is full of chemistry and tension, and the mystery surrounding their connection keeps the pages turning. Brooks expertly blends royal intrigue with romance, delivering another standout in the Forever Bluegrass series.

Gabe and Sloane

Kathleen Brooks does it again! I was so happy to head back to the happy little town that most people would love to live in! I know I sure would.
Gabe and Sloane meet in Lexington but when problems arise, what better place to go than home. Having the protection of the people who love you the most can make any problem disappear.
Not only do we get to read about Gabe and Sloane falling in love but we also get caught up with our other favorite couples and there is some surprises too!
Can't wait for the next book to come out...

And the surprises just keep rolling. Who is hiding their pregnancy and why? The parents are putting more and more pressure on their children so they can become grandparents.
And the playboy prince may have met his match. If you live in the headlines, Gave learns, you have to take responsibility for the role model you become.
There are so many storylines running through this book, not just Gabe’s. And are we getting closer to revealing the identity of the panty dropper(s). Well, I have my theory...

I love these books. Totally unbelievable: the generations of characters don't age so that you have three generations about 40 years apart. Everyone is beautiful, everyone is rich, there's tons of danger and political intrigue...these books are fantasy, great if you want to lose yourself in romance on a rainy day or lazy afternoon. I can knock these puppies out in a couple hours, and enjoy myself thoroughly! Nothing wrong with escapism!
