Already a star within the world of romance, Ms. Gaddy is quickly making a name for herself with romantic suspense as well. Return of the Cowgirl shows her mysterious side with intriguing characters and a suspenseful story. Glenna and Mitch deliver just what you'd expect from an Eve Gaddy novel. Fierce attraction, strong characterization and an abundance of emotion. The plot proved a bit confusing at times but I enjoy reading stories that are cryptically engrossing, so this was right up my alley. (3.5 stars)

I have not read any other stories in this series. This book can easily be read as a standalone.
I liked the plot in this series...it was very different. Mitch is a PI hired by a group of 4 brothers to find their sister who is in trouble. When Mitch finally tracks her down, he's in for a huge surprise as it turns out that Glenna has amnesia and has no idea who she is.
The relationship between Mitch and Glenna is slow to build as it should be given everything going on and the trauma that Glenna suffered which resulted in her amnesia. Mitch is overly cautious which I appreciated. He didn't jump right in but instead focused on what he thought was best for Glenna.
I have waited (not to Patiently) for the return of the missing Gallagher sister, and oh how this book had me turning the pages. Glenna without her memory knew to trust only one man, Mitch, but she also knew she was falling for him and she could tell he had feelings for her but would not act on them cause it was against his code of conduct, he could not break the trust her brother had in him, and that angst was what made the book such a scrumptious read.

Glenna's book, as the last of the Gallaghers and as someone largely absent from the series, is not a Marietta affair. While she does have a story, it feels more like a vehicle to see the others one more time.
Glenna gets into a terrible fight with her sexist Dad (apparently there are a lot of them floating around Marietta) and then hightails it to Argentina. Of course, seven years away from Marietta and all we see are flashbacks to nothing related to her day-to-day experience.
With amnesia and on the run, Glenna is saved by Mitch who brings her home. The cops/FBI are involved and then her memory returns and everyone lives happily ever after. At least, that's how it feels. Return of the Cowgirl skirts any real issues and basically skates over any possible depth. It's not even frothy and sweet given the romantic suspense angle. Glenna remains a non-entity and even Mitch's relationship to Austin (his brother) is treated particularly casually.
This was a hard book for Gaddy (Glenna was never really there for her) and it shows.
Return of the Cowgirl (The Gallagher of Montana Book 5) by Eve Gaddy This is Glenna Gallagher and PI Mitch Hardeman's story.
I enjoyed the Glenna's brother's stories. Now, we finally get Glenna's story. I've enjoyed this series. The series is best read in order. Glenna has been missing and Mitch has found her but she has amnesia. Can Mitch gain Glenna's trust? Mitch has his work cut for him. I enjoyed Mitch and Glenna's characters.
This story is full of mystery, suspense, and hot chemistry. FYI, contains mature content. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
There’s always a touch of sadness when it comes time for the final story in a series. I’ve enjoyed the Gallagher brothers journeys in finding that special someone that fits them perfectly. The only empty place was where Glenna should have been. But their sister had left years ago after a fight with their father. Oh, the guys figured out why, but she was still missed. Now Glenna has gone missing under unbelievable circumstances and they’d hired Mitch to find her and bring her home. Trouble is, it’s hard to come home when you don’t know where home is.
Glenna was on the run. From what exactly she didn’t know, but she knew instinctively that her life was in danger. This stranger who claimed she was someone she couldn’t possibly be was annoying, stubborn and, if she admitted it, quite handsome. But still a stranger she couldn’t trust, until he’d rescued her from an abduction and kept her safe. It’s hard to imagine not knowing who you are. We all have memories that we’d love to erase completely, but for Glenna a trauma after a bus accident had wiped her memories and she truly had no clue who she was. She only knew for certain that she was in danger, and she had a secret that could cost her more than memories, it could cost her life.
Return of the Cowgirl brings Glenna Gallagher home. It also brings danger and mystery along with her. Glenna lost her memory but she didn’t lose her stubbornness. Mitch and Glenna have an intense attraction, one that Mitch is reluctant to act on since she doesn’t know who she is. Glenna has no such worries for she’s living in the moment for her memories may never return. The danger she’s in is very real and adds an edge to this romance from the very first page. It’s always a delight for me when past characters reappear, and in this final story in the series we catch up with everyone… even the dogs and horses that have been a part of all the Gallagher’s romances. I’ve had fun with these people, and I would highly recommend this story, as well as the entire series for any Romance reader. If you love mystery, sassy characters and a family that is tight knit then you’ll enjoy Return of the Cowgirl.

The Gallaghers of Montana have fallen and fallen hard and now it is time for the missing Gallagher sister to return to the safety of her brothers and family.
Glenna Gallagher doesn’t remember her past or her name for that matter. With an unexplained urge to protect herself and fly under the radar, she moves from town to town doing, never really understanding what’s she’s running from or who she’s hiding from until private investigator Mitch Hardeman catches up with her.
Hired by her brothers to bring Glenna home, Mitch has his job cut out with Glenna’s amnesia and gaining her trust to take her back to Marietta to her family. With danger lurking in the shadows and her memories coming in bits and pieces, Mitch’s protective instincts come on full blast, and as they navigate home, so does his attraction to Glenna.
“Return Of The Cowgirl” is one of the coolest books I’ve read. A simple story of a sister gone missing and the tenacity of her family to bring her home; no matter what continent she’s been living. With a hint of mystery and no histrionics whatsoever, this is a wonderful story of a woman trying to come to terms with her past and future and of a gentleman willing to go to any lengths to protect and cherish her.
Eve Gaddy does a great job with developing the relationship between Glenna and Mitch as well as the delicate and sensitive relationship with her brothers. I’ve come to love Eve Gaddy and her wonderful love stories full of charm and charisma, and her Whiskey River series will always remain as one of my favorites of her works.

Return Of The Cowgirl is the fifth and final book in The Gallaghers Of Montana series, which tells the stories of the five Gallagher siblings. Set partly in South America and partly in one of my favourite make believe towns, Marietta Montana, this is a contemporary western with a nice mix of sweet and sexy. Return Of The Cowgirl can be read independently or as part of the series. Glenna Gallagher is a feisty redhead who spends much if this story suffering from amnesia. On the run but with no real idea why people are chasing her, she’s suspicious of everybody though it doesn’t take her too long to learn to trust Mitch Hardeman, the private investigator her brothers have hired to find her. It doesn’t hurt one bit that she also finds him sexy as hell. I really loved the South American part of the story. I think it is some of the best Eve Gaddy writing I’ve read. I was well and truly hooked, and constantly on the edge of my chair worrying that Mitch and Glenna would be caught before escaping to the States. The second half of the story is gentler, allowing these two to get to know each other. I’ll admit that I preferred the faster pace of the earlier part of the story, but that doesn’t mean the second half was boring. Just different, and ultimately appropriate to what was going on. This is a fairly quick read—It took me about three hours all up—but I think it’s a fitting conclusion to what has been a lovely series.
The preface for this book states that Glenna was a forgotten character and after reading her story, it definitely feels that way. I really enjoyed Glenna and Mike as characters, but she sure did get the short end of the stick in terms of stories. Yes, this has a happy ending, but throughout the book, I really just felt incredibly bad for her and was more upset with how her story played out than anything else -which is not something I enjoy in romance novels. Her mom died when she was very young, which apparently left her with an incredibly sexist, prick of a father. So she flees her family and home in order to prove him wrong. Yay for her. Only, she has very little contact with her obviously close knit siblings, which we’ve learned from previous books, and somehow ends up with the absolute worse life in Argentina. She’s in an accident which leaves her with amnesia, finds out she miscarried an evil person’s baby, is dang near kidnapped multiple times, and a close friend of hers is murdered by her baby’s father … what?! At no point in her story did it even seem like any part of her life in Argentina was a happy one. I was just sad for her and this crap story she’d been given.
Overall, I really enjoyed this series; the first four books are worth the read. In this book, I enjoyed seeing the characters from the previous books again and I liked the PI angle and even the amnesia because it was so convincingly written. However, Glenna’s story as a whole was far too tragic for my taste to enjoy -especially for some lighthearted reading.

I have read this entire series of Gallaghers so I had been thrilled to finally find out what had been happening with the one sister Glenna in Return of the Cowgirl by Eve Gaddy. Even with that said, this book would stand well on its own if the brothers’ previous stories had not been read. I can recommend them too.
Return of the Cowgirl was vastly different from the other books in the series but I liked it. I chuckled as I read the author’s note at the beginning, it seemed Glenna had always been a strong-willed individual even for the writer. From reading the preview, Glenna has traumatic amnesia but that is just the tip of the proverbial iceberg in her story. It is romance with a hint of thriller added to the mix. Nothing too dramatic. The good guys are good, government agencies can be trusted and the bad guys are identified early. If I am ever lost or in trouble, I hope it is someone like PI Mitch Hardeman who comes after me!
Return of the Cowgirl is the kind of read that is enjoyable without being nail biting. Now the siblings are all together again; a wonderful finale to the series.
An ARC of the book was given to me by the publisher through Net Galley.
What an emotional ride Eve Gaddy takes the reader in The Return of the Cowgirl, her fifth book in The Gallaghers of Montana series. Glenna Gallagher has been missing from the ranch she worked at in Argentina. Her brothers are at their wit’s end and hire a private investigator to locate her. Mitch Hardeman finally tracks down Glenna only to discover she doesn’t know who she is. Although Glenna suffers from amnesia after a bus accident, she knows she’s in danger. Mitch offers her protection as well as explaining who she is. Once home in Marietta, her memories are still missing as she meets up with her family. Glenna wonders if she can convince Mitch that she doesn’t need to remember her past to know he is the one man she wants. As she begins to regain her memory Mitch wonders if he can protect this women he loves from the danger that followed her from Argentina.
I loved reading this book and had trouble putting this book down, reading it in one day. Ms. Gaddy is a wonderful story teller. She drew me in and did not let me go until I read the last page. I highly recommend this book to other readers.
I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book.
As most of you know by now if you read any of my reviews you know my heart is in Marietta, Montana....(although I will say I am loving Sweetheart too). This is the last book in the series about the Gallagher sisters and while the end is always bittersweet, I know that we will get to see the girls and their mates in future books so this is not goodbye but see ya later.
In this book handsome Mitch goes after the missing Gallagher sister. She is the one that pops in every so often and I do mean often in the other books. She just likes to do her on thing and her own thing has gotten her into a bit of a mess this time. Glenna has amnesia or does she? Mitch is not sure she knows who she is and is just playing like she doesn't remember or really doesn't know who she is. BUT once she discovers she is running from something and she has no idea why or what...he is down to help this gal he is attracted to. Heading home to Marietta will it help her to remember her family? Come along for a wonderful ride. This mystery of a book has everything you could want and more. Suspense, Romance and of course Marietta, Montana!
I am so lucky that I found Tule Publishing. I have some great authors from Tule and Eve is one of them. She always writes some tough story lines. This one is one I will remember forever. Mitch is a PI looking for the sister who ran from her family to Argentina. Glenna had some trouble and is now on the run again. She has lost her memory. Mitch has a hard time to get her to trust him. There are a lot of twists and turns here. They have to get to the planes to get them back into the USA. Here is where Glenna has all her family to want to help her. That scares her most of f all. She wants Mitch. Mitch won't play with his clients. You will have to read to the end to see how this story ends. I was pulled in this book from the beginning. Don't let this story slip away! Please read this book! Enjoy your reading! I volunteered to read and review this book.
This book is about the Gallaghers sister, Glenna and Mitch the PI who has been hired to find her and bring her back home. Glenna is suffering from Amnesia after being involved in a bus crash. She doesn't know who she is and anything about her except she is running from someone. She doesn't know who she is running from and why. I liked Glenna as a person. She was a stubborn and knew what she wanted and went after it with gusto. It was fabulous to see Glenna going after Mitch. The story was good but the danger was resolved too quickly and felt too anticlimactic after the big buildup. There were events that were mentioned but no real emotion from Glenna about it once her memory returned. It felt like it was wrapped up really quickly towards the end. Otherwise I enjoyed the story alot.
Glenna's dad wrote his will leaving the Gallagher ranch to her 4 brothers (Jack, Sean, Wyatt, and Dylan) with Glenna's share in a trust until she married and settled down. If not married at 30 her share went to her brothers. Glenna had a fight with her dad about the will and left for Argentina to work on a ranch there. The brothers contacted the ranch in Argentina, but she had already left. Now they hired Mitch, a PI, to go find her. Mitch found out she was in Chile. He showed her a photo of herself but she denied it was her. She also had amnesia after being in a bus accident. Glenna agreed to go with Mitch to Montana in hopes of getting her memory back. Meanwhile after spending time with Mitch, Glenna fell for Mitch and Mitch maintained he could not be involved with his client---hence a standoff. Glory the housekeeper is the key to unlocking Glenna's memory and now Mitch and Glenna can be together.
This was a great story. Mystery, adventure, and romance all rolled into one made for a story I didn't want to put down. Glenna Gallagher is the last Gallagher sibling we get to read about. She has been missing for awhile and her brothers hired Mitch, a private investigator, to find her. When Mitch finds her, she can't remember who she is at all so he gets to try to convince her of her real identity while protecting her from the people who are chasing her. Glenna and Mitch are great characters. I loved how real Glenna's feelings seemed as I was reading. Her strong personality came through, but mixed with uncertainty and fears because of her lack of memory of her family and so many other things. I highly recommend this story!
I have been waiting to read about the missing sister of Gallaghers and I so enjoyed. Glenna knows nothing of her life before a bus accident but she knows that she can trust the one man in her life, Mitch. Mitch is the PI that her brothers hired to bring Glenna back home to Marietta. Mitch knows better that to pick pleasure with business but can he hold out on Glenna.
A great story packed full of mystery and suspense that will keep you turning the pages. A great conclusion to the Gallaghers of Montana. This is a stand alone book but better understood if you read the books prior in the series.
Returning to Marietta, Goergia is always a treat, this time with the Gallaghers...having Glenna's story finally told has been a long time coming and was told perfectly.
The story was fast paced...even though you thought you knew what would happen next, the unexpected would come out of nowhere. Glenna finding her own HEA was heartwarming...if anyone deserved one, it was she...the way she did was bittersweet. This was a quick and enjoyable story, only sad because this may very well be the end of the Gallegers' story.
This ARC book was complimentary, provided by the Publisher and NetGalley. I am voluntarily providing my honest review.
This is Glenna Gallagher's story. She left home years ago to love her life the way she wanted to and not how her father expected her to. The one thing she always did was keep in touch with her brothers. When that stops, they hire a PI to find her in Central America. When Mitch finds her she has no memory of who she is. Naturally she falls for Mitch while he helps piece her life back together. After all, he is the only person she knows and can remember. After quite the journey home, will Glenna still want Mitch? Nice tying up of loose ends in the Gallagher family.
This one wasn't really a favorite of mine. While it has Marietta roots it doesn't really fit the Marietta mold of stories. There is a lot going on in the story with a bit of mystery and suspense in it. The writing seemed a bit scattered to me though and didn't really keep my attention the way it should. Perhaps I was expecting another type of story but for whatever reason it just didn't work for me.
Ms. Gaddy is an outstanding writer who makes the characters leap off the page. I found Glenna and Mitch to be memorable characters who provide a strong foundation for a memorable love story. I highly recommend the writing of Ms. Gaddy and Return of the Cowgirl. Delane Reviewer for Coffee Time Romance & More Full Review @ Coffee Time Romance & More
This book was so interesting and engrossing!!! The plot was very well presented... And uniquely different. There was mystery, suspense, action and lots of twists and turns. The very sexy romance was great and kept you interested and rooting for Mitch and Glenna . I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book and all of The series... Each one of them were excellent reads which I highly recommend!
An archaic and abusively sexist father chased her from her home for almost 13 years. She got entangled with a criminal employer. Hit by a bus, she develops amnesia Her family hires a PI to find her. It was an OK contemporary.

Return of the Cowgirl is the fifth book in the Gallaghers of Montana. After an accident and getting amnesia, Glenna disappears from her home. When her brother hires a PI to find her, he finds this job is more than just a case of finding the lost girl. Will she go home? Will she regain her memories? Or does she even want to? I really enjoyed this story, and I highly recommend this book!
Glenna and Mitch's story is a little different from what I thought it would be, but I really did enjoy it and all of the ups and downs in this story. I read this series out of order and each book can stand on its own. I recommend it and hope you will as much as I did.
A great western based romance with a healthy dose of mystery thrown in.
Glenna has amnesia following a bus crash in South America. Mitch is the PI hired to track her down. Recovering her memory, discovering the reason she was trying to run away from her previous life, and the hot, sweet romance between them make for a really good read.
I picked this story up hoping to get a good read because I haven't read any of her work before. A quick read that pulls you in from the start. Well written and perfectly paced and I'm glad I picked it up. Mitch and Glenna are a perfect match to make another HEA story. I wasn't lost as this was book five in the series but cannot wait to read the rest to find out how everyone fits together.
