Great practical book with references to the prkecte of author (descriptions included). Difference with other books on the topic of immersive theatre: the author is a maker himself, which make the content of the book useful.

Honestly an amazing primer for Immersive Theatre in many ways
The author has excellent consideration of the Ethos of production and its connections to the piece, and he acknowledges the field's long-standing roots and predecessors in the art-form.
That being said, because the field is new to the mainstream eye, the author doesn't reference much besides their own experience, and the pedagogy suffers. He devises a glossary of terms with words that have a large amount of semantic overlap, making it hard to establish a clear and consistent vocabulary which could provide a basis for the practice at large. He defers experience in certain forms of immersive performance to other places, which in some sections works and in others narrows the scope of what should be a wider book.
It is what it is billed to be, however, which is a practitioner's handbook on their practice, and must be taken as such.
