Sweet inspirational read. A little simplistic at times overall a engaging romantic story. Recommend:)

The basic idea was good but LA couldn't present it interestingly. The writing was more often lousy than not... repeating the same words in one sentence, whereas even the first mention was irrelevant, such as "he took the key and put it in the lock, then he put the key down" (this isn't a quote from the book, I'm not gonna go search for an example because no way will I ever read it again).
And I disliked the idea that heroine wouldn't start again with the love of her life, just because he hasn't found God. Really? That's pretty tall, in my opinion, that a huge prejudice makes the heroine be proud of herself. As if God didn't want to connect with people who didn't believe in him. Wow...

A very sweet love story!
It's the age old story of "childhood sweethearts". Melanie and Zach were best friends as children but as they got older they fell in love. Melanie's world falls apart when Zach leaves just when they are to be married. He shows up 5 years later after finding God and himself. He just prays that Melanie can forgive him like God did, because he is still in love with her. However, when Melanie offers her forgiveness, he has a difficult time at first with feeling unworthy. That is until she explains to him that "Life's too short for grudges". Truly a beautiful love story!

This is a sweet, very short story, with no angst. If that is what you are looking for, then it's a 5 star read. I felt that Melanie forgave Zach far too quickly and easily. The book was less than 100 pages yet the issues were pretty much wrapped up by the 60% point.

Wounded but they worked it out
I really enjoy Ms Atwood's style of breathing life Into her characters and the hurdles they encounter. When your world gets shattered, its not always easy to pickup the pieces.
