His Rules

Rate this book
My endeavors to find the right man had afforded me countless hookups, infidelity, and a handful of one-night-stands.

Then, Marc Watson stepped into my life. He was handsome, and not the kind that could be satisfied by simply taking a second look. Hell, men like him graced the covers of magazines and were the subject of every woman's dreams. He was also intellectual and kind. The. Complete. Package.

But. He had this ridiculous rule.

To get a shot at him, I had to agree to be in a no sex relationship for thirty days. Making it thirty minutes without having sex with him would be a stretch. Thirty days would be impossible.

It was the opposite of everything I had done in the past, but he assured me if I could comply, the reward would be mind-blowing.

I'd never been one to back down from a challenge, so I took the deal.

Little did I know that doing so would change my life forever.

"HIS RULES" is a stand-alone romance with no cheating, no sex outside the relationship, and comes with a HEA and no cliff hanger. This is NOT a Dom/sub novel, nor does the relationship depicted contain BDSM elements. "A relationship without sex was like Christmas without presents, a Bloody Mary without a celery stick, or a car without tires."
description

His Rules is a stand-alone contemporary romance with determined characters who find steadfast love with each other. With action, suspense, and a beautifully crafted plot, Scott Hildreth offers another unforgettable story full of heart.

description

Taryn has been searching for something. After suffering a significant loss, for years she has had a void in her life. Trying to fill that void with alcohol, parties, and the general exploration of life, Taryn still, finds herself empty and alone. Until she meets a unique individual, who will change her life forever.
"Everything in life is easy. Some things simply take longer to complete than others."
Marc is a detective and a former Navy Seal. Content with his beautiful beach home on the California coast, he has a solid routine in place and a rigid structure that he follows. Although Marc is happy, he recognizes that he is alone. When he meets Taryn, he is thrilled to find the possibility of a life long companion. Although the two share an immediate physical spark, Marc is quite particular about "his rules." As Taryn and Marc grow closer together, the bond between the two becomes impenetrable. Taryn experiences growth and finds completion in her life due to Marc's presence. Marc, still uncompromising on his set schedule and "rules," discovers that Taryn adds color to his black and white existence. Meanwhile, the crime in Southern California is becoming more intense, and Marc seeks an alliance with a local MC. As Marc wages war on a local lethal gang, the weight of his job becomes lighter having Taryn in his life.
"Begin at the beginning, and go on till you come to the end: then stop."
description
"What did you just do to me? It wasn't my first kiss. But it was the first kiss I'll never forget."
Told in dual POV, His Rules is a perfect blend of romance, friendship, action, and intrigue. With Marc's rules in place, the central conflict between the two main characters increases the sexual tension and accentuates the need for them to devote a significant amount of time developing their friendship and relationship. The supporting characters enhance the plot with their contribution to Taryn and Marc's lives. I especially enjoyed the addition of Marc's relationship with the young and spunky Charlee. Once again, Hildreth manages to seamlessly blend a smoking hot romance, with passion and tenderness, while impressing the importance of family and the undeniable presence of loyalty and friendship. The pacing of the writing is fast and truly unique due to the desire for Marc and Taryn to finally make that physical connection. When that moment happens, I was afraid my Kindle was going to catch on fire. Marc's character is exceptionally rare with his OCD tendencies, and yet, Taryn and Marc together are perfectly matched. Hildreth's MC loving fans will be pleased to see some of their favorite characters play an essential role in the plot of this read.

description

Set in a picturesque Southern California backdrop, His Rules is an absolute must read for contemporary romance fans who like a slow burn romance with a lot of passion and heart. I will never tire of reading Hildreth's books because I know I will experience the beautiful and ugly pieces of life and find strength and inspiration through the characters he has created.

I have no idea where to start.

Jesus. This book is what Scott Hildreth should have done 4 years ago. Maybe if he had...

What a ride. The characters, ancillary characters, plot, pace, text, and prose are exactly what we'd expect from this author, but this book is simply different (read GOOD different).

Hero is a detective who has tremendous insight into human nature, and uses this insight to his benefit. He's OCD, hot as FUCK, and quite a catch. He's got some weird rules when it comes to relationships, and I'm rather sure you've never read anything like this one before.

The heroine is not some twenty-something skinny bimbo with big tits. She's a real-to-life 20-something that has been cheated on, and has felt the pain we've all felt.

Her life hasn't been perfect, and that makes her believable.

She meets the detective, agrees to his "RULES" and they start out on a different kind of relationship ride.

Never have I been so entertained by a book in my freaking life. Seriously.

What a different kind of scenario.

This book has sexual tension out the wazoo. It's hot as fuck. I mean, really, who here has been fucked on the public beach while they watch the sunset?

Anyone?

Anyone?

Bueller?

Yeah, that's what I thought.

And, the side characters? Jesus:

An excerpt from her foul-mouthed friend.

“You only suck dicks on holidays?”

“I just said yes. Holidays, that’s it.”

“How did I not know this?”

“You never asked.”

“Do you on the random holidays, like Boxing Day, and Father’s Day and stuff?”

“New Years Eve, Valentine’s Day, Memorial Day, Fourth of July, Labor Day, and Thanksgiving. That’s it,” she said, extending a finger with each holiday she named.

I chuckled. “You left out Christmas.”

Her eyes remained fixed on the television. “I don’t suck dicks on the Christmas.”

I stared at her in disbelief. “It’s the best holiday of them all.”

“Precisely,” she said. “I’m not going to ruin Christmas by putting a dick in my mouth.”

“If I had that rule, I’d have to accept holidays from every country on earth. I’d even make up my own. Blowjobs make guys happy.”

“Diamonds make me happy.” She raised her hand and stretched her fingers wide. “See any?”

It's funny, it's HOT, it's fast-paced, and It's not some overdone stepbrother bullshit.

Give this book a whirl, you sure won't regret it.

It seems like my IQ level is not high enough to get into this story.

Philosophical talks, highly manipulative male protagonist, curious female lead.

It would take a very sharp mind to play against such man, and I had a feeling she was lacking it.

Cum, poop talks. Sexual withdrawal based on...???? And here my IQ gave up.

I'm not into mind-f*cking.

I would tell such man to f*ck off latest after their 2nd talk and the story of OW who was manipulated by him in the past.

Well, at 32% I tell him that.

O*M*G!!!!!!
THIS
BOOK
IS
A MUST
READ
SHIT IT IS A MUST RE-READ BOOK!!!!!!!!!
*EXHALE*
I have just finished re-reading this book, yes that is right read it more than once.
I AM BEING HONEST WHEN I SAY I AM BLOWN AWAY MORE WITH EACH READ!!!!!
*Clapping* -- Mr. Hildreth WELL DONE!!!!!

I have always been honest with my opinion Hildreth books make me think, FACT.
HIS RULES, not only made me think, it did ten fold, but this beautiful story made me FEEL.
The characters that this author created have moved to the front of the line, in characters that I LOVE to discover in the written word.

Let’s start with Taryn Fisher, I LOVED, LOVED, LOVED, this chick. I want to tell you soooooo many things about her, I am literally waving my hands over my keyboard trying to decide how to describe her but not spoil the joy of discovering her yourself as you read….. Just know this if you are the type of person who is funny, caring, funny, open minded, funny, understanding, funny, devious, funny, giving, funny, honest, and funny, YOU WILL LOVE HER as much as I did. The journey that Hildreth takes us on through Taryn’s eyes is second to none. She had depth, weight, and HUMOR…. PERFECT combination.

The rule maker, Marc Watson, I will be honest with you when I learned HIS RULE was the title, I snarled, yep with the raised lip, the eye roll, the whole shebang. See “rules” are not my favorite things, and I thought a book with that yucky word in the title would be a mistake, BUT I WAS WRONG!!!!!!! BWHAHAHAHAHA---not only did the story make the title perfect, but the guy on the cover is a perfect Detective Watson, whomever does Mr. Hildreth’s covers NEEDS A RAISE or A BONUS, A HUGE BONUS, his graphic designer is simply brilliant at their craft. *wink*.
Ok, ok, so back to the story, LOL, as handsome as Marc is, he is definitely much more than surface appeal. This was a character that earned my respect. He was a strong character that did not dominate a scene, he earned it with how he chose to act. He was a character that not only understood, those he loved; he was very honest with understanding who he was, and what he needed to sacrifice to grow.
OK now on to what has become a Hildreth favorite of mine, the subsidiary characters. WOOHOOOO!!!!!! I LOVED EACH AND EVERY NEW CHARACTER THAT WAS INTRODUCED, but as with most things I have a favorite and her name is Charlee.
YOU MUST READ THIS BOOK TO UNDERSTAND TO JOY OF THIS GIRL!!!!!! That is all I am giving you, but she is on the top of my discussion list, I can’t wait to have a chat about this outstanding character.
There were other supporting characters that added the most side splitting belly laughs and at the same time anchored a heartwarming bond to this story that the is hard to explain, it must be enjoyed as you read. And of course I would be remiss if I did not mention the visit from some old favorites. They will worm their way into your heart even further after this read.

Overall, all I can do is GUSH, and GUSH, and GUSH!!!!!!!!!
PLEASE do yourself a favor and read this book. The subtle way that Mr. Hildreth twists your thinking, feeling and heart to embrace these characters is not to be missed. Marc and Taryn’s relationship grew from their willingness to GIVE of themselves for the other, without losing who they were, I do not know about you but that sounds a lot like L*O*V*E to me.
That is it, that is all I got….

This was a different take on romance that I've never seen before. No sex for the first 30 days of dating? Interesting. But, it doesn't hold back from an awesome romance. Yes, Marc was a little weird, and Taryn is a little quirky. But, their relationship works, and it's just perfect! The intimacy between the two was hot once it got going while their chemistry was explosive. Really enjoyed Marc and Taryn's love story! My first Scott Hildreth read, and it won't be my last...

AMAZING!!!!

His Rules by Scott Hildreth is nothing short of Amazing. We got glimpses of Detective Watson in prior FFMC books, but nothing prepared me for Detective Watson's own story. His character is in a class of his own and earned his spot in the awesomeness that is the Hildreth line up of characters.

Detective Watson is unique in his beliefs. He is a bit quirky with is extreme OCD, but he is a great man at heart. His demanding lifestyle/job and particular tastes have made it difficult for him to find the "right" woman. Seeing Taryn, Marc thinks that he may have found a woman that is perfect for him. He just needs to get up the courage to talk to this beautiful creature. Taryn is a great female lead. She is smart, sassy and funny. Her character had me laughing throughout the book.

His Rules is a great read. It is HOT, dramatic, and funny. Scott is able to infuse his books with his great sense of humor while still giving us a story with serious plot and message. It was also so fun to see my boys from FFMC in this book. Their brief scenes were very important to the overall story and solidified the characters relationships. A great addition!

Another GREAT book!

Blown away...

I've said it before and I'll day it again, Scott Hildreth is a master at his craft and if you haven't read anything he's published you are missing out on phenomenal work. I've spent a good hour trying to put into words how great of a read His Rules is and I know I won't come close to it. Scott has set the bar for his books higher and higher with everything he publishes and His Rules is Scott at the top of his game. Marc and Taryn's story grabs you from the Prologue and keeps you enthralled until the las word on the page. I cried with them, laughed with them, and at one point wished I was standing in front of Scott to thank him for the words he shared and shake his hand for getting it, not just right, but perfectly( followed by a huge hug just for doing what he does lol) . You have no idea the talent and magic Scott creates in his books, from you being right there thinking," Oh sh@#, run Taryn get out of there!, " to feeling everything come together over a bite of eggs, and a great book.

10 stars! The H lives a life of discipline and the h is his opposite. Their story shows how the courage they both had to examine the morality and ethics. Sound boring but it was enthralling. I loved how the writer linked literature to their story. I really liked the leads, how their relationship grew and his final gift to her.
Edited to add: went for a walk and thought more about the H and his 30 day rule. It would be easy to mistake this for testing the h. That would be wrong, he was showing her his behaviours - his extreme need for control. This is nothing to do with sexual domination - it is how he lives, he's not on the spectrum, it is who he is. She needed time to observe and understand if he would be able to meet her needs. As a person who is very controlling, I understand this and wish I could have met a man who thought I was worth time for his observation. So this H is my dream man.

A must read!!!

Oh my gosh! Out of SD Hildreth's books I think this is my absolute favorite!! But I say that after every one of his books I read. Seriously, this book is a bit different than his previous books even though it does briefly bring in a few characters from some of his other works. I had to finish this book in one sitting because I just couldn't put it down. The main character, the detective, was fascinating and his romance with the leading lady was thought provoking. I almost don't know how to describe this book because the plot was so different than the usual books out there but that was part of what made it so good; something different. But it had romance written so beautifully, suspense and intrigue. I highly recommend you read this book - you will NOT be disappointed at all.

For me the pace of this book was like the waves of the ocean. Things flowed rhythmically and were very soothing. However, every now and then what that you thought was going to be another smooth wave turns out to be deceptively powerful. Changing the look of the beach. Washing new things ashore and uncovering others. There was a deeper meaning beneath the surface. What seemed like an inconsequential action created a change in the characters allowing them to grow and evolve. It was a thought provoking story and easy to read.

Marc's interactions with the secondary characters was outstanding. I always love a good "strange" character with a lot of personality and a few quirks. Charlee was perfect!

WELL HELL, THAT WAS SMOKING HOT!

This is the first time I've read one of Scott's books and I always past his up, just too many books in my collection. I loved his way of thinking. His beliefs of a relationship. Taryn, I liked very much. I'm so happy I picked it up. If all his books are this panty melting, I'm jumping on the Scott train!

Oh. My God. 6 stars

This book grabbed me from page 1 (loved the cover AND the chapter headings) until the end. It made me laugh out loud and hold back tears (reading in public). The author said this was his best and I fully agree. You'll want to reread this one. I love the alternating POV and his character development is spot on. My top read for the year.

Waiting 30 days after meeting someone to become intimate is just smart business. Especially as March has decided he's found a good candidate for a relationship based on his "criteria". His Rules. He's definitely OCD but it's not portrayed as weird which I enjoyed. Our planet has so many types of people and if all the same it would be dull.
I like how his parents back up his values.

I enjoyed the FFMC being a part of this book. Their raid was one of the best parts of the story.

And I always remember how romantic this book was with Marc. He's my new "book boyfriend". LOL

Great job Scott! I always feel I'm reading an exceptional good story when your books come out!!

Oh, I think the cover picture might be Noah Mills...nice ideal of March🔥

Every time he releases a new book, Scott Hildreth always says 'This is my best one yet'. Looking at that statement you'd probably say to yourself ' Wow, he's a pretty confidant guy. Or just full of himself. ' But let me just say. Scott Hildreth is no liar! Hildreth is one of the few authors that I absolutely MUST READ the day he releases. His story telling just gets better every time and his methods for delivering them are as unique and awe inspiring as the author bimself. If I had to say, I think I'd tell you with utmost confidence my favorite thing about Hildreth? Well since you asked... Yes he's a phenomenal writer, and his tales always keep you on the edge of your seat, buried in his book with their unending pull. But my absolute favorite is that he somehow someway always manages to incorporate some level of a moral lesson into his stories. But it's done in such a way that you really don't even realize it until you feel the warm and fuzzies that overtake after you've finished. And if you don't pay attwntion, you might even miss it. Although I never do. Lessons of respect, compassion, integrity, honesty, boldness, courtesy, kindness, and Love are found in the mix of a Scott Hildreth novel. As much as it is 'just a romance novel', it's also a subtle life lesson told thru the eyes of just a common man. And as much as characters could exist just between the pages of their tale, they also very easily could exist in real Life! They are funny, serious, stressed and flawed. They worry, lack confidence at times, fight and argue with others, but they also love beyond all reasoning, are loyal, compassionate and kind.
His Rules was one of my favorite Hildreth reads yet. ( Dont i always say that?! )Mostly because Detective Watson has held an air of mystery about him that I, as a reader just couldn't let go of. In each of the FF books we saw just enough of a peak of him to keep us on our toes and to now finally get to see why he is the way he is and he exists? Well, I was REALLY looking forward to that. We also get to see our FF family from a different point of view and how i do LOVE keeping up with those characters! Their little visit into parts of this book made me smile from ear to ear because that FF crowd has simply got to be one of my all time favorite series! I just can't get enough of em! And I dread when the day comes that we say goodbye to them.
His Rules is a treasure trove of erotica, love, respect, action, and mystery with a heaping dose of heart pounding feelings thrown in. Scott may as well write his fans into his books because he does such an astounding job of sucking us in so completely that every moment is felt. Every second of pulse pounding action makes us take an unsteady gulp.Every touch is grazed upon our skin. Every scent infiltrates our nostrils. Every heartbreak draws butterflies to our stomach. And every moment of happiness brings a lump to our throat and tears to our eyes. Never has an author I've seen had the ability to do this so fluidly and effortlessly! I truly believe God gives us all a gift or a talent. I'm just thankful Scott Hildreth decided to share his with the world! He's always gonna be my go one click author!

Scott Hildreth pulled out all the stops with this engaging and touching book. His Rules is as unique a premise I've ever seen. A very atypical kind of journey that reads as a diary of sorts as two distinctively different people slowly decide they are exactly what the other needs.

The seemingly uptight detective that is Marc Watson is a character I've wanted more of for a long time. His very deliberate actions whether involving the Filthy F**kers or simply going about his everyday routines of eating breakfast and working out play beautifully against the unsettled world that is Taryn Fisher. Where Marc gives her a new sense of purpose, Taryn gives him the reason to break out of his stale boundaries.

There is that unmistakable wit peppered throughout His Rules that only Scott Hildreth can deliver. Together with a slow burn kind of love that is as tender as it is sexy, you get a story that makes your heart skip a beat or two as your soul melts in unison. Who knew that just one kiss could change two people forever? That a simple request to try coffee or a slice of pineapple pizza could redirect a destiny to one that you never even imagined? It's the every day that we get to see up close and personal as Marc and Taryn decide upon a quirky 30 day dating ritual that had me hooked right along with them.

And even within the simple is the complicated as secrets are shared, lives are blended and worlds collide. I loved that the author shared some of Marc's interactions with the MC we've all come to know and was thrilled to get that little bit more with one single chapter in another POV other than Marc or Taryn's. This book often felt like that missing piece in the world of the Filthy F**kers and now I feel more in tune with that entire series.

Scott Hildreth makes no bones about admitting this is his best book yet. I have no plans to disagree with him. The characters are endearing, full of life and a joy to read. Surely to be one of the best of 2017, I give His Rules a huge 5++ stars.

An interesting take on a new romance with these two people. Both MC's have tales to tell about former relationships which brings up the subject of "the rules" established at their first meeting. Taryn is ready to jump in for yet another one night stand, but not so fast, says Marc. He takes her home, they sit & talk & he establishes the 30 day rule, among other things. Marc is at the point in his life where he would rather get to know the woman before jumping into bed, so a real connection can be determined, or not & he won't feel like time's been wasted. Original huh?
After being burned, Taryn hits the bars, drinks with her friend & usually takes someone home. Her life is passing her by, every day is just a repeat, but she's not bothered by this at all, until she meets Marc. She's not thrilled with his rules at first but finds they spend their time exploring their differences as well similarities.
Marc, a police detective & former Navy Seal is serious, stoic & shows very little emotion. His need for clean lines & a clutter-free home would have one believing he was OCD but he is not. After what he has been through in the past & now sees on a daily basis, his need for routine & calm living conditions brings him much needed peace.
The book is written in dual POV's & for the most part each chapter represents one of the thirty days & how this couple spend their time together.. Part of Marc's morning routine is having breakfast at an out of the way diner. The waitress is the mother of a thirteen year old girl, always sitting in the booth next to Marc's. She is a delight, an avid reader & smarter than a whip. Their conversations bring sunshine into Marc's day & I looked forward to every scene where this girl played a role.
A message reinforced is that in a relationship there are sacrifices to be made & trying new things to please the other shows commitment. This couple have many likes/dislikes but their willingness to try new things add very humorous parts to the book. Wait until you read what Taryn does in order to swallow an oyster.
I loved the breaks from the relationship where the author took us deep into the life of Marc as a detective. This covered a very serious topic but was dealt with carefully & tactfully & demonstrated what a truly good man he is.
This is my first encounter with this author, I loved his male/female perceptions, his writing style & the natural flow of the story. I will definitely seek out more of his releases

All Rules Broken With This Story! My Heart Is Beyond Happy With This Book!

Each and every story penned by Scott Hildreth is a masterpiece. Each and every book in relation to the FFMC series is incredible. His Rules is no exception!

We came to know Det. Watson early on with FFMC. I wasn't sure about him at first but I slowly grew to love him. He's definitely a different breed, but that's his attraction. A man with a set and decisive manner of living, seems to exist in same manner. His devotion unending, his kindness knows no limits, and he's a protector.

His interest in Taryn, our very real heroine, is endearing and caused me to think about what a real relationship is. Taryn allows a look into the very real life of a woman in the dating world. It's not easy.

Once the two decide to try being in a relationship, I'm even more intrigued. No sex, commitment, and self-change, without coaxing. Both begin to fall prey.

We see more our our favorite MC. The men that put honor and family above all else. I had faith in them but there were some scary moments.

As Marc's Rules begin to take shape, the couple begins to come full circle and a decision needs to be made. *No Spoiler... Trust, chemistry, and love finds its way home. And yes, the sex and feelings behind it consume the reader. Severe doesn't explain how this story wraps around your mind and heart.

Another incredible read that causes us to rethink and realign our priorities.
5-Stars aren't enough. A MUST READ!

I instantly feel in love with the character Charlee (aka "Scout" or whatever else March might enjoy calling her that day he was interacting with her, LOL!) ...she is too too much. just a smart kid. some kids are just too smart for their own good, lucky for the folks who get to know them that is! Thought it was hilarious that Scott bought in the reading of George Orwell's Nineteen Eighty-Four ...that is on my too be read pile right this minute ...which is super huge, so many books that gotta be read, but there is never enough hours or time, or energy, my eyes need sleep ...the hubby recommended that I read it & I am so going too asap!!

Couple quotes that really hit home with me... "Every inch traveled between our beginning & our destination is progress." "Perhaps one did not want to be loved so much as to be understood." YES ... on both quotes ... personally I think being loved and understood ... go hand in hand ...to be loved is also being understood??! just a thought though. Personally I hate rules ...not sure why we have to have so many freakin' rules!

Bikes are included in the books (got to see Nick & PeeBee, my faves) ...kind of feel like Scott is a writing chameleon. Meaning is able to change his writing (colors so to speak.) to whatever style is he looking for in each and every book he has written so far. NICE! For me this read was put there in the stars with the Mafia Made series and Nick & PeeBee's books 1 & 2. just saying!! great read!! loved it! ( ;

His Rules is a great story. For those familiar with Scott's Biker MC series, you'll recognize Marc from appearances he's made in those books. Marc is a detective in the gangs unit of the local police department. He's ex military and likes everything to be organIzed and orderly. Marc's looking for a woman that is compatible and believes Taryn is that woman. Taryn is a hair stylist who after hearing Marc's proposal is more than willing to give it a shot.

Both Marc and Taryn are great characters. Taryn is beautiful and has a wonderful sense of humor. She and her girlfriend Stefanie would have these fun conversations about the most random things that would have me laughing. The after story about the oyster meal was seriously hilarious. Marc comes across as a little more reserved and he's so particular and routine about stuff. But there's one scene I specially remember where he explains in detail what he'd like to do to Taryn over the table, and gah let me just say it is crystal clear the man is hot.

Loved seeing some of my favorite bikers who added to this story. The ending - well, that was just perfect. Smiles and tears both. Another good one from Scott. I'm looking forward to many, many more.

5 Crazy Ass Must Read Stars!!!!!

It's broken record time again! Yup, that's right! Scott Hildreth continually proves time and time again why he's my absolute favorite author and this book was no different. How is it possible that every book he writes becomes my favorite?!? He's just "da man" like that!
This book....this book...this book really has me all kinds of mind blown right now. It could be the lack of sleep I incurred last night. I just had to finish it. Sleep shmeep! Who does that when there's a new Scott Hildreth on the loose? Or it could be because this book is the best Scott has written so far. Yup, I think that's what it is.
I don't want to go into the storyline because those pesky little spoilers are just itching to come out. I will say that this is a little different from what I've read by Scott. Everything from the humor to the heart wrenching moments to the intense suspense to the scorching scenes kept me glued to my kindle.
Scott continues to blow me away with his writing. I can't say it enough. I so look forward to reading his next release.

His Rules

Scott Hildreth, I didn't think you could make me fall in love with a character more than Percy but March has stolen my heart away. I have to say, your books just keep getting better and better. I love how your books focus less on the dramatics and more on the relationship.

Marc, he sure is one special man. I loved getting inside his head. He is smart, sexy, and geniune. Will his thirty day rule chase off Taryn? Will he tangle with the wrong woman?

Taryn, man at first I thought she was going to be a disaster to herself. She had to get over some of her issues before she could get thru the hardest 30 days of her life. Will she be able to handle all of March's perks? Will she be her own worst enemy?

If you love to read, you don't want to miss His Rules. I would recommend anything by Scott in fact. He puts so much passion and thought into his books, he always has me hooked at the very first page. I'm looking forward to what he comes up with next!!

Great read as usual. Never anything less. But really? Taryn Fisher? Wonder where that name came from? Hmmmm....
I wasn't sure with this one if I was going to like Marc the H or not...at 1st I thought he was a little weird. I mean the same place for breakfast everyday of life and ordering the exact same thing. Every. Single. Time? Stark white walls, white cabinets white white white? But then it happened. I kept reading, and in true Scott Hildreth fashion....I got it. It hit me. The same way it always does. My Scott Hildreth life lesson.
30 days, seems like something every new couple should try! Maybe then people would get to know each other, like really get to know each other.
Life is black and white white white....until love happens, then you are buying a $2100 painting and enjoying more then just the same "it will be out in a few" breakfast!

I don't even know what to say about this book other than: anything you know or think you know about Scott Hildreth's books....chuck it out the window, because THIS book is a game changer. It's simply perfect from the first page to the last.
Taryn is not your typical book heroine. She's, well, normal. She's older, possibly wiser, and knows when something is worth putting the work in.
Marc is a handsome detective whom we've met via the FFMC. He's kind of a prick, but you also pretty much love him.
I wasn't entirely sure I was ready for him to have his own book, but now that I've read it, I'm SO GLAD he did! This story is just...OMG!! You MUST ONE-CLICK NOW!!
