Fandom: Katekyou Hitman Reborn! -------------------------------------------------- No one ever said an SI gets a place in canon events, or that they would be ideally placed at all. How much would you recall if you had decades to go before anything in a long forgotten story comes to be? AU, Thief!SI/OC, Pre!Fated Day Arcobaleno, very Pre!Canon.
More like 3.75. It's really really good. Sonya is an OCSI done extremely well. Her characterisation is wonderful and she grows throughout the book. The other characters are great too and the relationships are really good. The plot is so interesting and keeps you hooked.
However, the book can feel confusing and tedious to read. The writer regulalrly uses epithets instead of pronouns and consistently switches them in the same chapter to refer to the same person. These can become quite long. The narration is also sometimes very longwinded and the regular use of long sentences can make your eyes glaze over the words. Sometimes, I have to reread a paragraph over 5 times to understand what it is trying to say. Apart from that, it is very difficult to tell the POV in many sections. Most of the time, Sonya is the POV character but this can become quite murky as sometimes the POV switches from character to character in a chapter, sometimes it stays stable on one character and at other times it switches between two characters.
Nevertheless, this is an engrossing read as it reels you into this virtual world. The writer has a very vivid imagination and she hooks us into her story quite effectively. Since this story is over a million words, there is also a lot to read and enjoy given to you for free. I absolutely adore this story and hope you do too. I'm excited for everyone to experience the world VixenTail has crafted for us.
