Sure, I do other stuff but mostly I’m a writer. I get up early in the morning and work at my kitchen table with a steaming hot cup of tea. Sometimes I listen to brain.fm to help me focus. Sometimes I use a timer and write in sprints. Sometimes I don’t do any of that and listen to the chatter of the birds in my back yard while I dive into a scene. Whatever I do, I sit my ass in the chair every day and write. I have a wife. She’s the inspiration for all of my sexy heroines. She’s the crème de la crème. She’s my favorite love story. She’s my queen. I’m also a mother. I have a son that I adore more than anything in the world. He’s the best thing I ever did, by far, and his amazing sense of fun and adventure keeps me wanting to explore. I’m a musician. I used to play in a band. I’m a computer geek, I love cooking, tasting delicious craft beers and being outside. I love where I live, on the beautiful West Coast of Canada where it’s temperate in all sorts of ways. Giselle Fox is my pen name. Having a pen name puts a little separation between real life and fiction. And since my stories are always spicy, that separation is a good thing. Giselle is the creative part of me. She gets me out of bed every morning, she cracks the whip when I want to flake out on the couch and watch Netflix. She makes me pay attention to people and circumstances and ask questions so I can write. Having an alter ego is great. You should try it, if you haven’t already.
I think I have an author crush. I mean I loved her Clair and the lady billionaire series, Tuscany, everything. This series is something altogether completely different. I four starred the first book because I was completely puzzled on what the bloody heck was going on. Now we have this book to help tie things together. I have a strong feeling that book 3 will focus on Charlie... We'll see if I'm right. Damn if this woman can write. Wow.
I'm so glad I continued with this series because this second book was fantastic. It's packed with action, mystery and some scorching hot scenes. Unlike the first book, this one was a real page turner with some great new characters that were introduced.
Luckily we get a continuation of Cate and Lexi's story in small doses throughout this book because the ending of book one was a huge cliffhanger. It would also seem that their story along with that of Jericho and Taylor will also continue in the third and final book.
Overall this gets a 4,25* rating.
*Minor annoying detail: the summary to the third book contains spoilers, don't read it until you finished this second book.
Damn! That was one hell of a ride ! I’m loving this series and I can’t wait to read the last book! Extremely entertaining, very sexy, and full of surprises !
I recommend to read this series in order. Book One is following Lexi and Cate, book Two follows especially Lexi’s sister Jericho and Taylor, but also Lexi and Cate and we get to know the third sister Charlie a little bit.
Taylor, together with her son Max and her mother, is hiding from her violent husband Stinger. Now they live in the hometown of Jericho, who acts as a city councilor. When they met the first time, they click immediately. Both women are hiding some bigger secrets, are they able to trust each other enough to tell the secrets and to trust with their hearts?
Lexi and Cate are still in Spain and enjoy each other. And, Cate is curious what her girlfriend is working but Lexi is very secretive. Because of not knowing everything, Cate brings them in some serious trouble. Can they solve the problem and return back home?
Also this book is very enjoyable. The plot is exciting with some action, combined with a sweet romance. But still not all secrets will be exposed in the end. After the book ended I was a little disappointed, because I have to wait for book three. The end holds you on your tiptoes, and that’s not really comfortable 😊
All main characters are very likable. The chemistry between Jericho and Taylor is instantly and they fall fast and hard. The only thing I wonderd was, how can Taylor trust a stranger so fast and easily after her story with Stinger? But that’s only a minimalistic wondering.
I hope I don’t have to wait that much for book Three. My rating 4.5 stars.
After readinf this i don't know if I want to hug Ms. Fox or slap her...but I will say I am very excited for the next one. If you read the first one and was confused then this one will clear things up for you a bit more. While the main series seems to be about Cate and Lexi, this one does follow Jericho (Lexi sister) and Taylor (running from her husband) in the sisters' hometown of Iowa. Jericho and Taylor have instant chemistry . I was a bit off guard with how forward Taylor was being when it came to her interactions with Jericho considering how the last year has been for them...but it worked the story and the characters. As far as Lexi and Cate go...they are in Spain. And of course Cate wants to know more and Lexi will not reveal anything. This then puts Cate in a spot between a rock and hard place and basically leaves her there. I can't say much more about any of the book because then it will give too much away. Read it...it was good.
Damn, there's a third and it hasn't been published yet! I am really enjoying this series. The first one set up enough of a mystery for me to want to continue in the hopes that I wouldn't be disappointed. I wasn't, this was just as good. I like that I'm not given enough information to guess as to what is going to happen. It was fast-paced and intriguing. Jericho and Taylor have some great chemistry.
The only thing that thing that detracts slightly for me is that there is one of those magic children in the story. You know, the kind that never cry, that can play for hours on end all by themselves and most magical of all, the kind that go to sleep when you put them down and stay asleep all night. Sigh, if only...
I know I gush about practically every new book I read but if I was stuck on the proverbial island and could only subscribe to one author, I think Giselle Fox might be the one and I’d be very happy about it. I did not foresee the direction this series was going to take and that is fun. Anytime an author sends you down an expected path and makes it all work, it’s such a delicious feeling. Action, romance, steam, international intrigue, triplets, all very good things.
Second book in a series. After the first, this one was a little bit of a let-down. But still a solid read. I'm not sure you would be able to make sense of the entire book without reading the first one. There are new characters introduced with a romance all their own and that portion of the book would make complete sense. But, the thread with Cate and Lexi would leave you lost. Still some nice romance. I love the author's descriptive writing. She places you squarely in the scene-especially when she is describing romantic detail. I am looking forward to the next installment!
This story jumps between Spain and Ohio with the continuing story of Lexi and Cate running around Spain. Then in Ohio, the story of Jericho and Taylor with little Max. I love that all of these women are very feminine and sexy while still being very adventurous.
I love all of the other books that I've read by this writer. I'm happily hooked on these complicated, wonderful stories. Book 3 in the Sun Catcher series will be the icing on this yummy lesfic cake. Each book tells the tale of a different sister and explains the Sun Catcher mystery. Lexi and Jericho were impossible not to love. Charlie has been dangled as another fascinating Duke sister. In book 2, she has given up on loving women. I imagine Giselle Fox will have a word or two add to that subject.
This story is about Jericho and Taylor with a bit of continuation of the Lexi/Cate story from book one.
I love a good rescuing a damsel in distress story line and I think Ms Fox resolved it in a very clever way to keep her characters true to themselves and their personal morals. Even though Taylor is in a real bind, she is never weak and while she needs Jericho's help, she holds her own thru the whole story. It was a good balance and never removed her agency as a character.
The romance between Jericho and Taylor was good but I didn't feel the same connection between them that I did with Lexi/Cate.
Did I immediately move on the book three? Yes I did. :)
Book two really picked up the overall storyline of this trilogy and I’m really enjoying where the story is going. I also liked getting to know Jericho and Taylor. Taylor’s story was equally as interesting and well done. I look forward to book three (which I’ll be starting as soon as I’m done with this review!) and getting to know Charlie better. Also, I want to mention that the chemistry between Jericho and Taylor was so well done in this novel. Giselle Fox always delivers well written romance and chemistry between her characters.
This book had Lexi and Cate figuring things out and we get to meet Lexi's sisters Jericho and Charlie. I'm afraid if I keep writing I might just give some of the story away so just believe me when I say that the first book was a good opening for this series because this second book was damn good, no it was better than good. It was fantastic with so many things happening. Loved it and I can't wait for the third one. So well worth the wait!!!!
An action-packed, entertaining story with interesting characters & riveting plot lines.
Left me riddled with anticipation for the series conclusion— Will the Duke sisters finale job will go down smoothly & will they be able to walk away? Will Taylor & Max finally be able to live free from fear & possibly with Jericho? Has the last chance for love already lost for Cate & Lexi? Or is happily ever after only meant for fairytales & cartoons?
The second triplet is revealed and she just as bad/good/sexy as the first. You see some similar traits, but it's clear everyone has their role in this family dynamic. Add a beautiful damsel in distress and you get more action. Can't wait to meet Charli to witness her path to love.
A solid 2nd book in the series. I don't get the reason for secrecy between Lexi and Cate but other than that it was an entertaining read. Gonna pick up the 3rd book too whenever it comes out.
This second book in the "Sun Catcher" trilogy is full of intrigue. We're introduced to the other two Duke sisters, Jericho and Charlie, as well as a new character, Taylor, who is on the run from her drug dealer ex husband along with her mother and young son. The pacing and character development are both excellent and the action scenes are fantastic. But I may have enjoyed the continuing story of Cate and Lexi as they reconnect and Lexi tries to win Cate back after the train wreck at the end of book one. Will Lexi ever be able to win Cate back? Will Cate ever be able to truly trust the woman she loves? We'll find out in book three, I suppose.
This book has given me something I didn't even know I needed. When I first picked the book up I really was just looking for a sweet romance. Now I am completely emerged in this series. I love every character. The storyline is so complex and compelling. With every twist and turn I am totally enthralled. I physically need to read the third book or I will die.
I must have skipped the outro of the first book because I had no idea that this would be a series. Colored me all surprised. All in all it was a good read but I think I liked the first book just a tad bit more. There was a bit more heat and passion in the first book and less of a cliffhanger.
Oh My Goodness! Whew... book 2 was exciting and romantic and loving. I can hardly breath with the ending. I just want to get to book 3. I love Love and its endless possibilities. 💕
What a good series, it seems like so much more to tell with just one more book coming . Can not wait for the last case the three sisters will be working on.
