Dylan Apel is at it again… When the Magical Abilities contest is announced, Dylan couldn't give a flip about entering. But when she discovers the prize is the coveted Never Forget, a spell that makes you immune to mind erasing, she's all in. That is, until the potion is stolen. Now, she's on lock down in Castle Witch with a thief on the loose. But lucky for her, the witching elite has also arrived, and Dylan's convinced one of them is the Master, an elusive criminal who she believes committed a heinous murder twenty years ago. All Dylan has to do is slip a magical ring on the right person's finger and she's got her killer. But when the ring is stolen, Dylan's not sure who to trust. Things get worse when her boyfriend is arrested for a theft he didn't commit, a close friend can't remember important details, and Dylan herself is accused of cheating in the contest. Before things get any worse Dylan must find a thief and a murderer—before she becomes the next victim of the Master. Hey, I’m Amy, I write books for folks who crave laugh-out-loud paranormal mysteries. I help bring humor into readers’ lives. I’ve got a Pharm D in pharmacy, a BA in Creative Writing and a Masters in Life. And when I’m not writing or chasing around two small children (one of which is four going on thirteen), I can be found antique shopping for a great deal, getting my roots touched up (because that’s an every four week job) and figuring out when I can get back to Disney World. If you’re dying to know more about my wacky life, here are three things you don’t know about me. —In college I spent a semester at Marvel Comics working in the X-Men office. —I worked at Carnegie Hall. —I grew up in a barbecue restaurant—literally. My parents owned one. If you want to reach out to me—and I love to hear from readers—you can email me at amyboylesauthor@gmail.com. Happy reading!
I am enjoying this non-sensical witch mystery through Kindle Unlimited. I like an extended series, which gives the reader the opportunity to spend time with a defined group of characters, hopefully, who grow in depth.
It does have some eclectic characters, but none that are extremely compelling still. The heroine is finally starting to reflect some character growth and the relationship between the H/H seems to be racing along. I flipping through these pages so quickly, that I haven't really stopped long enough to jot down my thoughts about each individual installment, although they each include many of the same attributes in a different scenario.
There are some minor grammatical errors. It is a clean read and contains an H.E.A. regarding the dead body. It is able to stand on its own, but the series will probably be better undertood if read in order.
I've been hooked on these books since reading the first sentence of the first book. Ms. Boyles makes sure there's something for everyone... mystery, magic, comedy, drama, romance and good old fashioned sibling rivalry! Familial relationships, with a hint of crazy, and lots of love (plus some romantic love), makes these books hard to put down. Wonderful, talented author!
Ahh Dylan.. it’s 2 steps forward 1 step back with her. Roman finally gets answers and luckily he’s the most sane one of the bunch. The magical abilities contest is a chance for the girls to test their skills but of course chaos ensues.
I'm glad I found this series AFTER it was completed because having to wait on the next book with this ending would have been close to IMPOSSIBLE! lol Great series so far though! Can't wait to finish it! 👍👍👍
Dylan is kick-ass. She has a knack for getting herself -and her boyfriend- in trouble. She can be a bit immature at times, but she’s definitely hilarious. Her ideas are a little insane sometimes, but so much fun!
There is some pretty imaginative magic in this book. It’s entertaining and easy-to-read. Just oooooone more chapter, whoops I already started the next! It flows, it’s suspenseful and all of a sudden you find yourself at the end of the book still reeling from all the magical action. I did guess part of ‘whodunit’ right, but it was way more complex than I’d thought and VERY creative! Amazing!!!
Just one teeny tiny thing: maybe reveal a little less in the blurb. A couple of things mentioned there happen quite late in the book and I think it takes away just a bit of the suspense.
I voluntarily read an advanced reader copy of this book.
Bless Your Witch series keeps getting better and better!
Thank you Amy Boyles for writing such an engaging series! The Apel sisters, the grandmas, boyfriends, and the bevy of supporting characters are a pleasure to read and sleuth along with! I was happy to read that some old problems were resolved, and some new ones as well. Can't wait for the next installment and how the ladies handle the hinted at challenges...
Amy Boyles has outdone herself! Dylan and her family are a double helping of hilarious insanity! Good thing they're the good guys... The mini-mystery is solved, and the background mystery draws to a fitting, if bittersweet conclusion. The sisters are at an interesting crossroad in their lives, and and that ending! This series goes from strength to strength and is such a FUN read for this genre.
"Don't Give a Witch" is the 6th book in Amy Boyles' cozy series, Bless Your Witch. This book is set in Castle Witch where a contest of witchly abilities is about to begin. There's a lot going with the Apel girls. They are practicing for the contest, then the prize, Never Forget (a spell that makes you immune to mind erasing) disappears, then someone steals a magical ring from Dylan. Now the whole family is on lockdown in the castle, with investigators everywhere. I just love Ms. Boyles' style of writing. Her main characters are funny, snarky and very loyal to their family and friends. I would highly recommend anything that Ms. Boyles writes to anyone who likes a good mystery with funny, southern characters.
A Wedding, a Witching contest & a BIG mystery solved
Everyone has a unique wedding, but a Magical wedding is WAY beyond that. Then the announcement that a contest will be held at Witch castle to show who the Best Witch is ...right there at the wedding! Dylan & her whole family jump on the contest bandwagon and the world again turns topsy- turvy! The contest Grand Prize is stolen, frogs linked to time travel are found, Roman & Boo are in jail.....and Dylan has the answer to a 20 year murder mystery!!
I love this series with Dylan always in trouble, Reid being boy crazy, Nan in her fighting mode and Gran always having the most outlandish stories. This time, it's a witch contest, solving a missing prize and a 20 year old murder. We get more Roman and Dylan time, which I loved and I loved the ending!
Great series with a great cast of characters and extremely entertaining story lines. Cozy mystery series with the witchy twist. Follow the adventures of the able sisters and their family as they get into trouble and out of trouble and solve murders in May him all around. Don’t miss out
Dylan is still biting her nails, but not as much as the previous books. Hopefully in future books, she will have stopped that nasty habit. I for one, don’t want to be grossed out when reading a book. Please stop the nail biting and spitting the nails on the floor!!
What starts out as a normal contest as usual turns into something of murder and stealing. Dylan and Roman are at the witch headquarters for the contest. She’s talked her three sisters into entering with her. Both her grandmothers are there and lots of witches. Interesting contest enjoy
You find out so many things in this book!!!! And the ending, squeeeee!! This book does not disappoint! A little bit of romance, a little laughter, couple crazy grannys, and a whole bunch of magic! Perfect!!
I love this series. Not only are the stories clever and fun they are a believable family unit! I love the Roman and Dylan romance and can't wait for the next book and Dylan's answer for Roman!
This series is addicting. It is also a good way to keep your mind off other things. I can read this series and it keeps my mind completely off my troubles. Absolutely love the apel family.
This is a nice lighthearted series with interesting plotlines. Great alternative to TV. I love Grandma, Milly and Nan. Can't believe who the bad guy was i did not see that coming
I loved this book and couldn't put it down. In this book by Amy Boyles, Dylan figures out who killed Roman's family and it's a doozy. I was totally surprised by the ending.
Holy Guacamole! Queen Catherine's murder is finally solved (you won't believe who done it) and things are moving along with Roman and Dylan. The cliffhanger is such a tease. I'm glad I dont have to wait to find out what happens.
Another awesome story in this series. Old and new mysteries are solved. See how it's done. No spoilers sorry want you to enjoy the read as much as I did. Bye time to continue reading the next book in the series. Enjoy.
A quick funny at times read that has you shaking your head and wanting to strangle Dylan while all the time championing her struggles to do what she can to help solve crimes in the witch community
I don't think this is a spoiler, but ... I had a harder time with this book than any of the others. But personally, I feel that's because I saw the end coming and tried to block it.
