About the author

Let other men covet petite, delicate females. He wanted this one. She was the Alpha female, cool and competent and often at odds with him.

Ahhhhhhh!!!!!
OF ALL THE TEASING! I'm equal parts ecstatic and crying after finishing it.

This is set several years in the future, and set in a similar universe as Masters & Mercenaries. And that's all the details you'll be getting from me. My advise is to avoid any reviews giving any more away because you want to go into this blind. Lexi Blake packs a heck of a surprise into this story, and you're going to want to enjoy it to it's full effect.

The story is a sexy one. Two spies from different governments (American and Canadian) are sent to the Himalayas to apprehend a scientist working on a new delivery system for Anthrax that could kill thousands of people.

Ben, working for the Canadian government, has spent years lusting over a woman whose name he doesn't even know. He calls her Magenta, for her hair, and Maggie for short. Maggie is a spy for the American government. They've tangled together through the years as their jobs landed them in the same places, and Ben's sexual attraction to the woman has been growing with each encounter.

Now they're locked in a mad scientist's lair with a ticking bomb giving them less than an hour to live. So what's a man and a woman with intense sexual attraction to do? Enjoy their last hour on earth together by giving into the pull between them. Ben and Maggie definitely set things on fire. Ben is demanding and all alpha, and Maggie is a kick ass heroine that submits to his desires in a way that's both sweet and sassy. I LOVED THEM!

This was such a fun and sexy story that I was immediately craving more of. I sincerely hope we'll get a spin off because this is a couple I NEED MORE OF!

Fans of this author do NOT want to miss this novella.

OMG seriously? WTF happened to Shayla Black?? This douche is supposed to be ALL about the heroine. He claims he has wanted no one but her since their ONS but his fuck buddy of 15 years (I am pretty sure after that long we call it a relationship) needs some "release" because her Dad dies and he FINGERS HER! But you know, that is A-OK because he told the fuck buddy he only wants the heroine.

Then the heroine thinks to herself she isn't happy that he touched his fuck buddy like that but she can understand his...wait for it...wait for it...ACT OF COMPASSION. <--- I didn't realize finger banging was considered an act of kindness. I am at a loss for words. The BIGGEST kicker? The fingering incident was unnecessary to the story. The misunderstanding was about the heroine seeing him kissing the fuck buddy on the forehead outside his house. The author could have left it at that since she wants us to believe that the hero didn't want anyone else but the heroine after their ONS.

I literally can't even....

This was a great read, each of the stories had me engrossed until the very end. I love the fact that this Anthology is being sold with its proceeds going to a great cause, there is nothing better than reading a good book and knowing that in doing so you are also helping a worthy charity.

Alphas of Danger is a pretty fantabulous box set filled with some of the best authors out there today. You have stories that will alternately make you hot and melt your heart with the *SWOON* factor. This will keep you up with all the erotic and heat that this box set puts out.
Devoted to Wicked by Shayla Black—Shayla Black takes us back into her “Wicked Lovers” series and this time we get Karis’s story. She is Jolie Quinn’s sister and we met her in her sister’s book “Holding on Tighter.” Now we have her story with Cage who is her love interest. Karis is stuck in Mexico and she is frightened after her passport is stolen so she calls home for some assistance and she is sent Cage…thing is, she has some history with Cage. Cage shows up and he tries to find out why she has been avoiding him since NYE. He knows they have this instant chemistry, this heat yet she is bound and determined to fight it but he refuses to let her. Now on top of it, there is something hinky going on with what happened to Karis- someone is harassing her and trying to keep her in Mexico and doing it in the most strange and scary way. But Cage isn’t about to let anything happen to Karis, not on his watch. Karis doesn’t know what to make of Cage all of a sudden wanting to be there for her and be there with her, yet something tells her he is serious but should she trust her heart, after he broke it last time? This is a fantastic novella in the Wicked Lovers series and I will this could have been a full length book but I will take what is given, for it another hit for Shayla Black! My rating: 4.9 stars
Countdown by Lexi Blake--Ben is an Agent for Canadian Intelligence while Maggie is his American counterpart. There are times they work together and there are times they work against each other but this time-- they are working together again to stop a dangerous and seriously psycho mad man who has made this killer new anthrax formula. Maggie and Ben have this serious chemistry but have never acted on it. Ben has always wanted Maggie but he didn’t act on it until now during this mission. Maggie has wanted Ben but waited for him to show her he was interested but when he didn’t, she didn’t act on her feelings –until now –knowing this may be it, their last mission together, in fact their last hours on earth as they go after the nut case, they spend the last hours finally admitting their feelings to each other. But did everything work out? Do they make it out alive after getting into the compound which triggers the bomb? Do they ever get that HEA in the end? Only way to find out is reading this awesome novella by Lexi Blake. This is such a lovely story and the co-workers to lovers is one of my fav genres. My rating: 4.8 stars

Revenge on the Rocks by Jenna Jacob—Another of my favorite authors is Jenna Jacob and she brings a beautiful love story with Nate and Gina. Gina is an older woman (12 years older) who has feelings for a younger man named Nate. She fights having a relationship because she thinks because she is older she cant give him what she thinks he will want the most—which is a family (I.e kids) and that isn’t something she will be able to do but she loves him so she is willing to just stay with him until he grows tired of her and moves on for a woman his own age. Thing Gina didn’t count on is how much Nate really does love her –he loves her for who she is and age doesn’t matter. There is a lot of angst, emotional drama, and a OMG I loathe villain in this story along with the ups and downs a relationship goes thru along with passion, love, respect and HEA you love coming from Jenna Jacob. My rating: 4.5 stars
Seducing Danger by Kennedy Layne--Landon is in the Caribbean about to close this HUGE biz deal and he is staying at this lovely and fab resort. While there he sees this beautiful woman who catches his eye. Now she has caught his eye pretty much the entire week he has been on the island and now that his business deal is coming to a close, he goes to make his move. Kelli, the beautiful woman, knows who Landon is for she was tasked with keeping him safe while he was on the island while he was doing the business deal and it was all secret and held without Landon knowing. Kelli thinks business and pleasure shouldn’t be mixed but WOW their chemistry is pretty strong and immediate when they meet up. Do they ever get a HEA or will her job keep them apart? I loved the novella and the storyline. I wish this was more of a full length story for it would have been crazy good with more fleshed out but as it was, loved this novella. My rating: 4.6 stars
There are other stories in this book that are worth reading which I definitely recommend—authors such as Carrie Ann Ryan with her novella Executive Ink (A Montgomery Ink Short Story), Isabella LaPearl with Enforce Her ( A Leather, Pipes, and Passion short story), Kim Grosso with her book Hard Asset, Anissa Garcia with With a Vengeance, Kris Cook with CIA Covert Team and Mari Carr with her story Power Struggle. These are all some serious novellas that pack the heat, action, eroticism, emotional heart and above all, the love. I cant say enough good things about this box set , especially how this is written for a good cause which is for 4 Paws for Ability-a worldwide agency that enriches the lives of children and veterans with disabilities by training and placing quality, task-trained service dogs. You don’t want to miss out on this box set!!

Devoted to Wicked by Shayla Black’s
Karis decides a Caribbean getaway with her girlfriend is a good idea to get away from all the bad memories of Cage and not feel so lonely when all of a sudden, her passport and other important documents are stolen from her hotel room. She calls her good friends that make up security agency and ask if one of them can come and bring her a copy photo so she can get a new passport. What she doesn’t know is that Cage is showing up being he needs to work out whatever is going on with them since there one hot night together they had.
This was a really great short story by Shayla Black I always fall in love with her characters. They always feel relate able. This story read so quickly it actually left me wanting for a little more follow up. Hopefully these characters may show up in another one of her books. I definitely recommend this book and author for enjoyable reading.

Countdown by Lexi Blake
Ben had gone to the Himalayas on a mission to catch a very bad criminal that was insistent to release an anthrax gas that would kill many people in the area of Nepal if it was released. His mission was to catch this bad guy and destroy this toxin. As he got to the target he runs into Maggie a hot agent from another agency and he has the hots for her. But he cannot be distracted from his mission and she will not be either. This short story tells you of their mission and the troubles they get into and the chemistry they cannot hide from each other.
This was a fun read by Lexi Blake. I have read her books in the past and this was another great read. I recommend this author for someone looking for a writer that gives your lots of details in your stories. You can really imagine you’re are there.

Power Struggle by Mari Carr
Carter lost the one girl that he loved and he thought he would never see her again after there one amazing night together. Bree and Carter were the best of friends. Carter thought he would never see her again when she ran from his bed after one amazing night. He moved on with his life but never stayed in a committed relationship. Bree ran to Paris to get away from her past. Unexpectedly, Bree shows back up at Carters Bar after 10 years apart. There instant connection is back and amazing as it was before. The twist at turns of their story were sizzling and dramatic and kept me reading.
This was a really good story. This is only like the third story I have ready by Mari Carrr and she is continuing to impress me. Her characters are well developed and the emotions that she draws out of them are raw and unforgiving but completely draws you in. I highly recommend this read and look forward to reading more of her books in the future.

CIA Covert Team by Kris Cook
Drake and Chance both work for the CIA for an Elite unit that seeks out and apprehends international criminals. At the beginning of their most recent case their relationship is on the rocks due to Drake will not agree to move in with Chance due to the other on the team will notice and he is not ready for that. At the current mission Chance is injured and that scare Drake terribly. The actions they take to move their relationship forward keep you turning the pages.
This was a really interesting book. It kept me turning the pages to learn more about Chance and Drakes relationship. But I also wanted to learn more about the bad guy in this storyline. This author was new to me and she did a really good job drawing me in and kept me reading. I definitely try another book if I was given the chance.

With a Vengeance by Anissa Garcia
Olivia Is on a mission to find the evidence that her best friend \roommate had on the Senator before he killed here. It’s being reported as suicide but Olivia doesn’t believe it and she is going to prove it no matter what. Olivia takes a job working for the Senator and it’s very hard and her resistance is wearing down and doesn’t know how she will be able to do this until she has a chance encounter with Jake on the bridge and their amazing hookup. Jake has more to offer Olivia than she even knows.
This was an easy read and it even had a little mystery\thriller in it. It kept you on your seat wondering what was going to happen and if the senator was going to get busted. I enjoyed the connection between Jake and Olivia I thought it was hot. This was a new author for me. I am definitely willing to read another book by her.

Hand Asset by Kim Grosso Book:
Raine is working for an Elite organization within the CIA that is trying to bust Maretta within the Emerson company. She has been undercover for quite some time. She got into this because her dad previously worked for the CIA and she wants to follow in his steps and be a strong and powerful person. Evan holds a leadership role at Emerson and has worked with Raine for many years. Their connection has become more close and passionate the more time they spend together. Until one day when Evan see Raine getting into a predicament with Maretta and Evan helps her get out it. Their passion ignites when Evan pressures Raine to find out who she is working for. She plays hard to get. But Evan thinks he can break down that wall.
This is the first time I have a read a book by this author. This was a quick read. That was a hot read with a little danger and intrigue. The only part that was a little frustrating I wonder how this story kind of ends because the epilogue left me wondering a little. I am hoping these characters pop up in another one of her books. I am definitely willing to give this author another try because I did like her writing style.

Revenge on the Rocks by Jenna Jacob
Gina is the owner of a small bar that is frequented by the Grayson brothers. Gina and Nate have been hooking up for a while in secret at least she thought so. Nash his brother is giving her a hard time sitting at the bar because he feels like Nate is really falling for Gina. And she is not ready for commitment. Gina was Nate first and he is head of heals for her but he feels there is more to her than just the sex. They have quiet the connection but a customer from Gina bar will come to haunt her will Nate be able to rescue her in time.
I have read Jenna Jacob in the past and really enjoyed this book as I have enjoyed her books previously. I would definitely give this one a chance as a starter book for trying out. I look forward to reading more books by her I really enjoy the characters they feel really relatable

Seducing Danger by Kennedy Lane
Kelli was sent to be private security for Landon when he goes oversea to close a large deal for his family business. Little does he know that his dad has hired Kelli to watch him from a distance as the security person he just thinks she is a beautiful woman he has had in his sights all week long. When she steps in to prevent a bad thing from happening because one of their competitor is playing dirty she gets way in over her head. It gets hot and sizzling between them and their connection is instant. Wait till he finds out that she is his security protection it changes everything.
This was a new author for me to read I really enjoyed the characters and the story telling. I felt the characters were easy to relate to and kept me reading till the end. I look forward to reading more stories by her. I would recommend this author to someone looking for a fun and easy read.

Enforce Her by Isabela Lapearl
Ella met Rambler and Bike Mates for the first time when they were all out for a motorcycle ride and noticed her off to the side of the road with a flat tire That was the first time that Rambler put the moves on her and they hooked up. There were tighter for a little while till all of a sudden Ella’s past comes back to haunt her and she notices that she is being followed. But she doesn’t want anybody else getting her so she runs away never letting rambler know why she left. Then one day him and one of his friends come upon an accident of a flip car and they check it out to make sure no one is hurt and he finds someone in there its Ella. This story continues with many twist in turns of why she is back in town and who she is running from. Will she let Rambler in so that he can help or does she feel like she has to fight this alone This is a book worth the read.
I have read this author in the past parts of other series book or multi-author books. I really enjoy her writing style. I feel like her characters feel relate able. She also knows how to make sure you keep turning the page because you don’t know exactly what is going to happen. She is god at being a little unpredictable. I like the authors that can surprise you. Totally worth the read.

Executive Ink by Carrie Ann Ryan
Ashlynn is a hard-working business woman that was at a business conference securing more work for her when she literally runs into Jax and he saves her life from being run over by a car that is speeding down the road that doesn’t see her. They have this instant connection when Jax pulls her to safety. They talk to each other for a little bit. Ashlynn thanking him for saving his life and all. They end up hooking up expecting to never see each other because they are both from out of town and don’t live near each at least they don’t think so because they definitely didn’t talk about it before she left him the morning after sex.
Jax and Ashlynn run into each other again at her company lobby because Jax sister works there as an intern and he was going to take her out lunch they reconnect again and decide to see if want to go anywhere with their relationship but Jax’s past comes back to haunt him.
This was the first time I have read this author the book was a really interesting read and kept me very interested. I felt the female character was very relate being that she was a strong business female character. I definitely recommend this book to people looking for a new author to read.

In this Box set, I had the privilege of reading Countdown by Lexi Blake and ahh this book gave me the reasons why I love Lexi Blake's book. Countdown was a short and indulgent bag of suspense and action that gave me all the heart palpitations and made me crave for more. It was sexy mystery filled with seduction and red hot story that definitely sizzled. Lexi Blake knows how to write suspense novels. She has a way of giving me a well written punch of drama that has me captured.

COUNTDOWN by Lexi Blake:

OMG. OMG. OMG. I want to spoil this little story so bad, but I won't because you MUST experience the greatness that is COUNTDOWN for yourself! While it is a super short, quick read, it's still very much a sexy, action-packed thrill ride, which is what I've come to expect from Lexi Blake. COUNTDOWN will definitely leave you anxious for future Masters and Mercenaries stories. LIKE OMG I'M STILL LAUGHING. Ben and Magenta are going to be an epic couple, and I NEED their story like tomorrow!

Overall, a great read! The majority of the stories are well written, engaging characters, and steamy sex scenes. A few didn't click with me, but they didn't make me want to stop. Review for each story follows:

Devoted to Wicked, Shayla Black - taking a relationship that had started and stalled, then sorting it out, and ramping it up. Sexy and satisfying, with a smidge of mystery

Countdown, Lexi Blake - Big smiles for this one! We are in the future and the world is wonky, and our big, bad, hero is a Canadian 😀. I'm sure CSIS and CSEC are now looking into the Lexi and what she knows about our spy world! An op goes sideways and our hero and a female US agent, who have been dancing around each other need to figure a way to fix things. Cue the reminiscing and sexy times

Power Struggle, Mari Carr - When two strong willed people, who were besties for 6 years, but apart for the last ten, connect again, wowzers! This was straight up sexy and hot, with a bit of sensationalized mystery, but our story wasn't deterred, so no biggie

With a Vengence, Kris Cook - a pretty good story, but too many endearments. Plot was good, characters were awesome, sexy times sexy, just the pet names took away from it all for me

With a Vengence, Anissa Garcia - Deep feeling of melancholy hovered over the entire story. It felt like an old black and white spy thriller

Hard Asset, Kym Grosso - um, no. This is a teaser, not a story. Evan and Raine have a background, which I don't know about, and this is them getting together, which was hot, but it ends with them apart and their future unknown. You don't have a complete story, and I hate that in a collection :(

Revenge on the Rocks, Jenna Jacob - Sometimes a book reads a little too porn-like in the bedroom. I don't know exactly why I feel that way, but this one read that way to me. Otherwise, loved the story and the emotional attachment between the characters, and the whole setting

Seducing Danger, Kennedy Layne - Interesting storyline but I just didn't feel the chemistry between the Landon and Kelli. Without that, the entire thing felt flat

Enforce Her, Isabella LaPearl - not a bad story about biker veterans and a run-in with the Russian mob over a woman. Read a little cliche-y about the men, and Ella seemed a bit too much damsel in distress-y all the time. Definite sparks between Rambler and Ella, but how does one go from a head injury needing stitches and passing out and nausea to energetic sex? Not the greatest story, just okay

Executive Ink, Carrie Ann Ryan - Sweet and sexy read, with a kick-butt female lead and an inked and helpful tatoo artist. They meet out of town, and have one-night, as agreed. He has a bit of trouble to work out, she has been battling male dominance her entire career. They fit though, and the sparks between them are electric!

WOW!!! What a fantastic bunch of authors!!! To be honest, I had only read two of these authors before but I now have several more I definitely want to read. I definitely enjoyed each and every one of these short but HOT stories!!!

Devoted to Wicked by Shayla Black: I really loved that Karis was able to see that things were not as she had thought and was willing to let Cage back into her life!

Countdown by Lexi Blake: WOW!!! Didn't see that coming! What a fantastic twist this story had!

Power Struggle By Mari Carr: Star-crossed lovers who give love a second chance. But will her past get in the way?

CIA Covert Team by Kris Cook: Always a fan of MM, this one had some interesting twists. Will love find a way to win in the end?

With a Vengeance by Anissa Garcia: Well, this was a sexy little surprise with an interesting twist. Very spicy!!!

Hard Assett: One of my very favorite authors. I love this series and I really loved this short story. I desperately want more of Evan and Raine's story.

Revenge on the Rocks by Jenna Jacob: WOW!!! I've never read this author (like most of them in this book) but I really want to meet the rest of these brothers. REALLY liked this story!!!

Seducing Danger by Kennedy Layne: Gotta love a strong woman!!! Especially when she knows when to give in to an even stronger man!!!

Enforce Her ( A Leather, Pipes, and Passion short story) by Isabella LaPearl: My go-to trope!!!! I freaking love biker stories!!! This one was just long and hot enough to get my motor started. I will def be interested in reading more from this author.

Executive Ink (A Montgomery Ink Short Story) by Carrie Ann Ryan: The only other author in this book I have read. I love the Montgomery Ink series and was very happy to read this short story in the series!!! Ashlynn and Jax, not exactly what most would consider an ideal match-up. Are they too different to make a go of things? Or are appearances not always what they seem.

If you've never read these authors, or even if you have, I urge everyone to give this book a chance! AND help out a fantastic cause!!!

Shayla Black has given us a returning glimpse into her Wicked Loves world with Karis and Cage, making me one happy lady!!
Stuck in Mexico after her passport is stolen Karis just wants to get a new one and go home. Cage is sent to help her, he also plans to find out why she has been ignoring him since their time together at New Years.
Both of them felt something they've never felt before and all it took was not communicating to almost screw up a future together. Karis has been walled up tighter then Fort Knox after thinking she saw Cage with another woman, but when they actually talk about it she finds out that he was actually being there for a friend.
I love how fast these two figure out they belong together after they talk about New Years!! I also love how Cage is a yummy knight in shining armor saving her from a stalker she picked up in Mexico.

How you may ask, why by doing what they should have been doing since they met!!! The explosion at the end is something that you do not wanna miss!!!
What Lexi Blake has done, has just blown my mind and now I need more!!! GET BACK TO WRITING MISSY!!! LOL!!!

What's hotter than a MM couple? Why a CIA MM couple of course!!! Drake and Chance were a couple but broke up when Chance wanted a family with a white picket fence. It wasn't that Drake didn't love him it was just that with them being on the same special ops team he wasn't willing to chance that their bosses wouldn't approve.
It's amazing how things are put into perspective when you almost lose the one you love. I haven't read anything my Kris Cook before, but reading Drake and Chance makes me want to read more from this author. It was a quick story full of intrigue, love, and secret agents that made me look more into this series.

With a Vengeance by Anissa Garcia
Another newbie author for me. Oh, how I love finding new authors!!!
Olivia is dealing with the heartbreaking loss of her best friend six months ago. It was ruled a suicide, but she knows that she was murdered by her ex-lover who is a high powered Senator and now she has taken a job as his secretary to try and get the proof she needs.
She meets Jake one night while out at the park after a bad day and they hit it off.
Jake has secrets, but he’s not ready for Olivia to learn them just yet. Jake knows what he wants and what he wants is Olivia and get her he will.
In this story we have hot office sex, a shoot out, and a spontaneous marriage proposal, you will not be unhappy with this one.

Hard Asset by Kim Grosso
Evan knows that someone is selling data that belongs to the company he works for and the country but he doesn’t know who. When he manages to get a invite to a party where the deal is going down he hope to find out who it is. Enter Raine. Raine works for the same company she can’t be the one, but what he hears makes it hard to believe otherwise.
Raine never wanted to be in the secret agent business, but when she she is approached to sell secrets she goes to her contacts in the government and has to choice really but to be a spy for her country.
Evan and Raine have been circling each other for a while, but no matter how attracted to her he is Evan doesn’t date employees. Raine knows Evan is a player, she also knows that if she ever had a night with him she would want more than he could give her.
The ending of this story killed me!!!! It’s safe to say I will be stalking Kim Grosso so that I can find out more about Evan and Raine!!!!

Jenna takes us back to Haven with Nate and Gina’s story. Gina is 12 years older than Nate and even though she has feelings for him she knows that they won't be together for ever. He’ll eventually want a family and she can’t give him that, so she’ll take him while she can even though it’ll kill her when he leaves. She just hopes that it’s only her heart that's broke in the end, he can’t love her. Nate just wants Gina, the age difference doesn’t matter and neither does anything else. I love Jenna Jacob!! She knows how to quickly get to the heart of a story all while giving you the loves, romance, and hotness in the bed room that you want. She also knows how to make a great villain that you loathe. Can't wait to go back to Haven with Nate’s brothers and catch up with him and Gina again.

Landon is in the Caribbean to close a business deal. At the resort he has been staying at, this one lovely lady has been catching his eye all week and now that his deal is almost done he plans to make his move.

Wowza!! Talk about a strong woman!! Kelli knows that that she should get involved with Landon, but she just can’t help it. It’s amazing how quick people meet and fall in love. These two do and then she has to leave to go over seas. What happens when she returns is great. Landon and Kelli are great and I love how kick a** she is!!!

First off let me give a little squeal because the Montgomery Ink Series is one of my favorite from Carrie Ann Ryan.
Talk about fate!!!! Ashlynn is in Atlanta for a conference, as she is walking back to her hotel Jax saves her from a car running a red light. Jax is also in Atlanta finishing up a tattoo at his old job before returning to his new job at Montgomery Ink in Denver.
Oh, boy!!! What is suppose to be a thank you for saving me drink turns into a one night hook up. Neither can stop thinking about the other but since they never got last names or hometowns what else can they do.
Then fate, that sneaky lady, intervenes. They actually live in the same city!!! How do they find out you ask?? Because Jax goes to meet his little sister at her work for lunch and who should be there, ASHLYNN!!!!!
Man oh man, do I love how Ryan writes a bearded, brooding, inked up man!!! She makes Ashlynn and Jax getting together seem effortless. Opposites definitely attract with these two a high powered CFO and a tattoo artist.

What can I say when one reads all these books by different Authors, normaly I would not read all of these books, but it was a great cause and it gave me a chance to read books from different authors expanding my circle to read books in the future.

Ben and Maggie are thrown together to stop a mad man in ending the world they know as, and now with only less then 1 hour to live, well you can guess what happens, am sure I would have done the same.
3. MARI CARR - POWER STRUGGLE
Reed and Bree's story the one that got away, Bree was dealing with her own issues regarding the murder of her Family and is back in Reed's life, while her past chases her, Will Reed save her and will they connect like they did before she got away?
4. KRIS COOK - CIA COVERT TEAM: RAINBOW KNIGHTS (M/M)
Derek and Chance story, one wants a commitment the other does not, but not until Derek almost looses the love of his life that he realizes what he had, now they have to deal with a hired assassin and a mole that wants to end their team.

Evan and Raine both work for the same company and now Evan suspects Raine the woman he has wanted for a long time of selling information that is critical from the company they both work Emerson Industries, As Raine confronts someone Evan walks in as she fights the man in the room with her, they get away and little by little Raine reveals what she was doing, and tells him she must head back. Will they succeed or will both loose their lives.
7. JENNA JACOB - REVENGE ON THE ROCKS
Gina and Nate a lovely story of romance and love where Gina is the older woman a bar owner and a troubled woman who does not trust man. Victor the bad man is after her and has every intention of killing her will Nate rescue her, will she admit her feelings for him, read the story to find out.
8. KENNEDY LAYNE - SEDUCING DANGER
Landon and Kelli, she was hired to protect Landon, Landon is negotiating a deal to own property that would make their Family business grow, and save his life she does as they embark on a affair that could melt the sun, and when he find out why she is there well things get hotter.
9. ISABELLA LAPEARL - ENFORCE HER - A LEATHER, PIPES & PASSION SHORT STORY
Ranger and Ella former military men come to her rescue knowing little about her and the trouble that stalks her, she and Ranger are more then 2 volcano's ready to blow, but she vanishes until she runs into him again after a bad accident, there Ranger finds out that her ex Russian mafia is after here, so now its his turn to rescue her and hopefully live ever happily
10. CARRIE ANN RYAN - EXECUTIVE INK - A MONTGOMERY INK SHORT STORY
Ashlynn and Jax she has climbed the ladder to success and now meeting Jax she finds that there is more to life then work, will they both find what they seek, and the love that has grown between them.

However, my review at the moment is for Lexi Blake's Countdown. It was a delicious, sexy, action-packed read! This was a fast read for me, but I devoured it and couldn't put it down. It wasn't what I expected to happen, but it was easy to get lost in. Ben and Maggie had been circling each other for a few years and this mission brought them together, yet again. But things didn't exactly go as planned and soon passion consumed them. Their story was sexy, sweet and I loved the twists as things played out. I WANT MORE!!

If you like them dark and dirty, this boxset is for you! An incredible compilation of some amazing names. This collection of short stories is primarily well written and inciting. Illicit and tantalizing, I was drawn in page after page. For me there were a couple debuts for my repertoire, and I can honestly say I will be looking these authors up. The others I had read and loved, and their stories were no different. My black heart prefers the dark danger, and this one was on point. This was the perfect weekend read to dip your toe into a world of sinfully sexy alphas.

Why are they given 1 hour? What happens when the timer hits 0? Something else is due to happen, what is it and what is the ultimate result supposed to be? Does it happen? This was a fun read!

Power Struggle by Mari Carr - In this story we meet Donovan and his friend Carter. Who is Bree? When Reed says something to Carter about having seen her, where did he see her and when was the last time Carter saw her? What happened? Where did she go? When Bree shows up at Carter's bar, they go and talk. Who calls Bree to give her some news? Why does she think it is from the prison? Who is there? Why? When the prosecutor calls a few minutes later to give her some news, what happens? Where does Carter spirit Bree off to? What is 220? What is the security like there? Who is David? What happens that threatens the lives of many people there? This erotic romance was not what I expected but fun to read.

What is their job tonight? What does Mick say that almost blows things wide open with regards to the boss, Julie? This book definitely was NOT what I expected when I read the cover. It was a fun read. See what happens with a person name Kuusik. Who are Collins and Maddow? What happens throughout this story is fun and interesting. It was worth the read.

Who are Hunter and Boyd? What do they do? Who is Olivia? What does she do for a living? Who does she work for and what is her mission according to herself? Read and find out what happens.

Hard Asset by Kym Grosso - Evan is a very curious man. Former military and working for a company that has espionage going on. What party does he score himself an invite to? What does he do when he gets there? That really threw me for a fascinating spin that I could not stop reading for. Who is Raine? Where does Evan know her from and what happens when he finds her on the third floor of the home where the party is being held? What does he overhear? What does he think? Is what he hears the truth? You'll have to read to find out what's going on!

Revenge on the Rocks by Jenna Jacob - We find a man named Victor LaCroix leaving Haven, Texas. What is he doing there? Where is he going and why? Who is Gina? What did he say to her that made her mad and what did she do in revenge? When Nash walks into Gina's bar, what do we find out about him? Who is Nate Grayson to Nash? What happens to Gina the night she breaks Nate's heart? What is he told the next day? Who in the crowd outside the bar does Nate enlist the help of and why? It was so funny watching them hatch a plot. Enjoy the book!

Seducing Danger by Kennedy Layne - We follow Landon Smith in this book while he is in Aruba. What is he doing there and what, more importantly, is he doing right this moment? Reading the bit about Aruba really makes me want to go visit there myself. Who is Kelli and when Landon finds out who she is, what happens? When the reason for her being there without his knowledge comes to fruition, what happens? You'll enjoy this read. It does not end how you expect it to!

Enforce Her by Isabella LaPearl - Who is Rambler and why is he waiting for someone named Doc? Who is Doc? I love the nick names for two brothers, Eric and Evan. The reason behind those nicknames is even more fun. Who is Ella to the guys? When Doc and Rambler find her car, what has happened and what do Doc's dogs alert to? I loved the code that Rambler used when calling for reinforcements. You need to really read this story and enjoy it as part of the overall series of books in this anthology. It is a fun read.

Executive Ink by Carrie Ann Ryan - Who is Ashlynn Kelly? What does she do for a living? Why does she torture herself with the clothing options she picks and then complains about mentally? I have to say, this book teases you throughout the first chapter, making you wonder what Ashlynn does for a living. I will never think of the word rumbles the same again. Who is Jax? What do we find out about him and Montgomery Ink? Who is Sammy and why did Jax get away from him and move to Denver and Montgomery Ink? When both Ashlynn and Jax return to their respective homes, what happens when Jax goes to pick up his baby sister for lunch one day? When friends of Sammy come to have a talk with Jax, what happens? Read and find out.

They are able to figure out they belong together after they talk about New Years and what happened in the weeks after.

This time around they are working together again to stop a mad man that has developed a new anthrax formula. This time around something goes very wrong and it may be their last chance to act on that attraction so they do not waste their chance. Ben has always felt like something was a little off when he worked missions with Maggie and the surprise Ben and we readers get at the end is AMAZING!!! I never saw that coming and I cannot wait to see where that twist goes in the future!

It shows how love is the most important part of a relationship while giving us the hotness in the bedroom I have heard Jenna Jacob is famous for. I will be looking for more of her books in the near future.

Stakes are high as Ben and Maggie work against time to stop a mad man who’s only given them an hour to live…How would you spend your time?

Ah! I love romances that involve best friends getting together! Mari Carr wrote a wonderful short story about Bree and Carter. One night Bree and Carter went further than friendship and on the same night Bree left town. Ten years later and the heat between these hot headed alphas is still burning. Carter isn’t going to let her go and the only man Bree can fully trust to give up a bit of her dominance is Carter.

CIA Covert Team by Kris Cook
If you enjoy M/M couples then this should hit the spot. Drake and Chance use to date, but both went their separate way. However, every day they have to see each other since both of them are on the same special ops team. Can they handle it or will feelings arise? Kris Cook is a new author to me, but I was intrigue with the way she wrote Drake and Chance’s story. I mean, who wouldn’t when it involves secret agents. I’m not really too keen with M/M romance, but a great story like Ms. Cook has written may change my mind.

With a Vengeance by Anissa Garcia
Ooo. With a Vengeance has such a great feel to the story. Six months ago, Olivia’s best friend death was ruled as a suicide, but she know’s better. She knows that the high roller Senator was the one who murder her friend. The only way to get proof his to get as close to him as possible and being his secretary is the way to go. The only person Olivia didn’t expect was Jake. He has secrets too, and he’s not ready to have Olivia digging into them.

For a short story, Ms. Garcia certainly had me on edge. I love both characters and the determination Olivia had.


Hard Asset by Kim Grosso
Kim Grosso is a tease! The way she ends the story has me begging for more! Evan and Raine are amazing characters that I love instantly. Evan doesn’t date employees and Raine knows he’s a player, but that doesn’t stop their chemistry from igniting in a blaze of heat. I don’t want to say anything more about Hard Asset other than you NEED to read this!

Revenge on the Rocks by Jenna Jacob
Ms. Jacobs gives us a taste of Nate and Gina’s story. Twelve years difference between the two, but Gina is willing to right it out as long as it’ll last. She knows that Nate will want a family and other thing that she won’t be able to provide for her, but she’s willing to have him for as long as she can… Nate on the other hand doesn’t care about the age gap. Instead he’s here to prove to Gina that she’s everything he needs. Ladies, please tell me, I’m not the only one who swooned!



Seducing Danger by Kennedy Layne Author
Landon has been working on a business deal that’s about to be finalized in the Caribbean, however, when this business man isn’t working, he’s out relaxing, and lately his eye has been on a lovely lady.. That lady is Kelli and she’s secretly been tasked to keep Landon safe during his business trip…Only, he doesn’t know that. And this businessman isn’t willing to let Kelli slip through his fingers. He’s ready to fight dirty.

Kennedy Layne is a new author to me and I look forward to reading more of the authors work.

Anyone looking for a woman on the run because Isabella LaPearl has just delivered a hot short story! Rambler is one HOT alpha and he’s ready to throw Ella over his shoulders and take her to his cave..I mean house. I haven’t read any of Carrie Ann Ryan books, but after getting a little taste of the Montgomery Ink series, I’m sold. When a ‘thank you’ drink turns into a one night hook-up you’d think they’d go their separate ways.. instead these two can’t stop thinking of the amazing night they had. Problem is, neither of them know anything about one another expect their first names! Will these two be able to find one another?

A great compilation of short stories from some great authors.

1. SHAYLA BLACK - DEVOTED TO WICKED
Karis is stuck in Mexico after someone broke into her hotel room. When she called for help the last person she wanted to see was Cage. Cage has come to help and get some answers on why Karis has been avoiding him ever since the night they were together. Will they figure out their issues before it's too late.

2. LEXI BLAKE - COUNTDOWN
Ben and Maggie are working together to stop a man who has developed something very dangerous.They both have been attracted to each other for awhile, when these two finally give in to their attraction, you will be shocked at the situation they are in. Lust/Love knows no boundaries. Great thrilling read.

3. MARI CARR - POWER STRUGGLE
We have two very dominant characters in this read, Carter and Bree.
When Bree returns back to town, Carter is determined to not let her go again. Bree has a very dangerous man after her. Will Carter be able to keep her safe and get the HEA that he wants with Bree?

4. KRIS COOK - CIA COVERT TEAM: RAINBOW KNIGHTS (M/M)
This is a M/M story with CIA agents Drake and Chance. And they were hot hot hot. Chance wanted a family and Drake wasn’t quite sure how others would handle that and pushed Chance away. A dangerous twist puts a new perspective on the love they have for each other. Will it be too late?

5. ANISSA GARCIA - WITH A VENGEANCE
This is Olivia and Jake’s story. Olivia lost her best friend recently and she is having a hard time believing it was a suicide and feels like her friends ex may be behind it. Jake also has some of his own secrets and when he meets Olivia he knows he has to have her. Will Olivia find out the truth about her friends death? And will Jake get what he wants?

6. KYM GROSSO - HARD ASSET
We meet Evan and Raine is this story. Evan is investigating the possibility of someone in his company giving away information. Raine works for Evan and he is surprised to see her at a party that he is attending. These two have a very hot connection. Could her feelings for Evan ruin the mission she is on? The ending has left me wanting more and I need to know what happens to Evan.

7. JENNA JACOB - REVENGE ON THE ROCKS
This is Gina and Nates story. Gina is 12 years older than Nate, they have great chemistry however Gina feels like she is robbing the cradle and knows their relationship won’t last. I was surprised to find out what Nate had given to Gina, very rare for sure. He is falling in love with her and after a huge fight they part ways. A twist and a very dangerous situation opens Gina’s eyes but will it be too late?

8. KENNEDY LAYNE - SEDUCING DANGER
Landon is a man who gets everything he wants and he has his sights on Kelli. But what he doesn’t know is that Kelli is working for his father to keep an eye on him. The chemistry they had was off the charts and what will happen when Landon learns the truth about Kelli?

9. ISABELLA LAPEARL - ENFORCE HER - A LEATHER, PIPES & PASSION SHORT STORY
This is Ella and Rambler’s story. Rambler is shocked to find a vehicle turned over on his way home and is even more surprised at who he finds inside, Ella. She is the woman who tore his heart out and left him, why is she here? What is she running from? Will Rambler help her?

10. CARRIE ANN RYAN - EXECUTIVE INK - A MONTGOMERY INK SHORT STORY
Ashlynn has been at a conference all day and is exhausted, while crossing the street she freezes in headlights and feels strong hands on her and ends up laying on Jax. He is exactly what she was looking for, a one night stand. However fate steps in and they see each other again. Can they make something work between them? Or will Jax’s past ruin that?

I'm a huge fan of the Club Altura series. Evan work hard and plays hard. A total Alpha who will not stop until he get exactly what he wants. When private company information gets leaked, Evan makes it his mission to find out who. Raine is so much more than she seems. When she's spotting in the right place at the wrong time or vice versa, depending on how you look at it, has a more than a few emotions going through Evan’s mind. Holy hotness! Ms. Grosso leaves readers with baited breath with Hard Asset.

I'm hooked on Hunter and Olivia. I wish there was more of them, at least a follow up. You will fall in love with them too. You HAVE to buy this one. Keep up the great work!

I really liked this. Cute and to the point, but with that deadly undertone that all the books in this set carry, it sets to pace for the whole set. Part of the Wicked Lovers series. Makes me want to read more.

Faced with their death, watching it countdown on the bomb in front of them Ben and "Maggie" spent their last hour doing something they should have done years ago.
OMG!! My favourite of the whole lot!! Did not see that coming at me, not at all. I expected there to be a positive outcome, because who wants to read a romance where they both die, but I did not expect THAT ending! Left wide open for a full book, maybe?? I certainly want to read more about these two.

Ashlynn just wants one night with her tattooed rescuer. But Jax keeps popping up, and he wants more.
A fab little short, of opposites really do attract and fate will do her best to get what she wants!

All in all, a great box set of Alpha males and Alpha females, but reading them all back to back was maybe a little bit too much, even for me!

4 stars for the entire set, with two standouts and two unfinished.

The unexpected curveball Lexi Blake threw in had me literally gasping out loud! I was racing back to the beginning to see if I missed anything obvious..it was such a surprise! Countdown is loosely connected to the Masters and Mercenaries series.

A one night stand out of state develops into something more when a tattoo artist and a corporate executive stumble upon one another back home

Jax and Ashlynn's relationship started out backwards, fast, and hot; yet they gradually settle into a steady slow burn I really enjoyed! There's a mild suspense thread with Jax's sleazy ex-boss that I assume will be resolved at some point, just not here. I haven't followed the Ink series in order and had no problems following Jax and Ashlyn. I hope these two get a more detailed story in the near future!

Landon and Kelli's attraction sizzled while their sexual banter hinted at the potential between the two, which they delivered in style! Landon's father played matchmaker with style, and I got a kick out of the loopholes Landon digs up to entice Kelli over. Overall, this was a fun short story.

When I heard about this anthology I couldn't wait to read it. It contains stories by so many of my favorite authors. These stories are all hot and sexy with alpha heroes and sensual heroines. I immersed myself in these action packed stories.

I watched Jax Reagan save Ashlynn Kelly from a speeding car in Carrie Ann Ryan's story, Executive Ink. I rode with Rambler and Every Mother's Son MC as they rescued Ella from Niko Rusanov and his Russian thugs in Isabella LaPearl's Enforce Her. I thrilled to all the action when Hunter and his partner Boyd caught the crooked, murdering Senator Branton before he could kill Hunter's love, Olivia in Anissa Garcia's story, With A Vengeance. As Kris Cook's CIA Covert Team the LGBT Rainbow Knights worked their first case I cheered Drake McLeod and Chance Nicholls on to solve their case by catching International Assassin Johan Kuusik, discover the mole in the agency while they both realized that they truly did belong together. In Jenna Jacob's story, Revenge On the Rocks I enjoyed the hot sex scenes between Nate Grayson and Gina Scott and felt the fear when Gina was kidnapped. In Kym Grosso's story, Hard Asset I enjoyed the Club Altura hero Evan Tredioux and heroine Raine Pressley as they faced danger in their pursuit of the all-around bad guy Dom Maretta. I enjoyed the beach and amenities at the all-inclusive resort in Aruba while danger threatened Landon Smyth while hot heroine Kelli Garrett was there in the nick of time to save Landon in Kennedy Layne's Seducing Danger. Mari Carr's story, Power Struggle led me to a BDSM club owned by hero Carter who knew that was the best place to keep his newly returned love, Bree who feared her life was in danger after her murderer step-father escaped from prison. Shayla Black's Devoted To Wicked transported me to Cancun where things got hot and heavy between Karris Weston and Cage Bryant before danger threatened Kariss and it was Cage to the rescue. My favorite escape in this anthology was Lexi Blake's story, Countdown. This story contained a delightful surprise as well as action and steamy sex. All I can say is Ian Taggart has his hands full.

If you are looking to escape your everyday life for a little while just pick up this anthology and face the danger, thrill to the action and imagine yourself in some hot and heavy sexy scenes for this is the place for you.

I highly recommend this anthology! All excellent stories!

So many hot males in these stories! Each story was great and amazing! A few of the authors I hadn't read but definitely will be now!

Shayla Black- Her story was amazing as always! This was Kari's and Cage's story which was wonderful and hot!

Lexi Blake- Her story was thrilling and amazing! She's one I had not read previously. This was Parker and Kenzie's story this one left the reader wanting more because of a little twist.

Mari Carr- Always love her books this one was no different! This was Carter and Bree's story. It was steamy and hot and well written.

Kris Cook- New author for me. I enjoyed the story and it was full of action. This is Drake and Chance's story they had amazing chemistry and nicely done.

Anissa Garcia- New author for me. Absolutely loved this story! I couldn't get enough of the tale of
Olivia and Jake/Hunter! I enjoyed reading this story and will definitely be checking out more of her books.

Kym Grosso- This was Evan and Raine's story it kept the reader interested because of the suspense and action throughout the story as well as the chemistry that builds between the characters.

Jenna Jacobs- This was Gina and Nate's story. I enjoyed this story it kept me interested in seeing what would happen next. It was great to see how it would work out.

Kennedy Layne- Story was compelling and captivating to see how everything would work out. It was an enjoyable read.

Isabella LaPearl- Great story and well written. It was captivating and amazing story, worth reading.

Carrie Ann Ryan- This was a Montgomery Ink short story of Jax and Ashlynn. This is a great and amazing story as always. Carrie Ann does it again with her story of Jax the newest member at Montgomery Ink, he's trying to make a new life for himself and his mom and sister. He's moved away from Atlanta to get away from his past and start anew but things don't always go as planned. Ashlynn is a CFO of a company and doesn't have time for romance she works to much and that's just fine with her and meeting Jax was never part of the plan. Overall it was a amazing read. Loved this story.

All of these stories were short but amazingly done and would highly recommend reading them. Loved each one in different ways. I found new authors I enjoyed and will be reading more stories by them.

Karis Weston is on vacation in Mexico and having a great time. Unfortunately, someone broke into her hotel room and stole her passport just before she was meant to leave. In a panic, she called home to get help from her sister so that she can get back home.
Enter Cage. They had one fabulous night together and then Karis found out the truth about him. Her sister sent him down to help her with her passport problem. He is determined to find out why Karis has been giving him the cold shoulder after such an incredible night together.
This opportunity final allows them to talk through their miscommunication. Sexy shenanigans ensue, as well as some great detective work by Cage.
I would recommend reading the rest of the Wicked series in order to fully understand the context of this story.

Ben is part of the CFI and is in the middle of an extremely dangerous op in the Himalayas in an effort to stop an evil scientist from poisoning the entire region with a new form of anthrax. However, while he's there, he runs into the American agents won goes by the name of Ms. Magenta, or Maggie as he thinks of her.
they get trapped in with a bomb and less than an hour to stop it. instead of focusing on the bomb, they focus on each other.
I enjoyed this story but it didn't seem very realistic and there was a total cliffhanger at the end. I would probably read the next one, assuming there is one, because the characters are fun. this story just had so much going on that it was hard to keep track of.

Power Struggle

Carter had been missing the one who got away but he has no hope of seeing her again until his cousin tells him that she had been back in town for months. Right at that moment, she walks in, overhearing Carter admit to missing her.
Bree had to take time after tragedy hit her family. That time extended to ten years in Paris but now she is back and ready to try again with Carter.
However, they both prefer to be in control so they are constantly struggling to find an equilibrium.
This story was very very fast paced and had a lot going on. I felt like there were several chapters that were missing at the beginning to get the full context of the story.
