Most women dream of hearing those words from the man they love, but for Michelle Roberts, they represent everything she has lost. Torn between her past and her future, she struggles with an ambush of the grief she thought she had overcome. Will she allow herself a happily ever after or drown in her sorrow forever?
From the bestselling author of The Falling Series comes the third story in the After We Fell Series, a collection of short stories that continues the journey of these fan-favorite characters.
Marisa Oldham is an Amazon bestselling author of the popular The Falling Series - The Falling of Love, The Falling of Grace, and The Falling of Hope. A passionate writer with immense depth, Marisa published a highly emotional spinoff of the series, Learning to Breathe, that connected her readers with her by sharing her personal experiences in a fictional manner. In a short story collection, After We Fell, that follows Learning to Breathe, Marisa continued to dive into the trials and tribulations of her characters’ lives with Falling in Paris, Falling Apart, and Falling Forever. Marisa has also contributed to anthologies and has many works in progress.
Marisa lives in a small town in Tennessee with her sister Carraine and her adorable Yorkshire Terrier mix, Winnie. Outside of writing, Marisa enjoys photography, travel, reality TV, horror movies, and crafting. One of Marisa’s favorite aspects of being a writer is connecting with her readers. Though I may be frustrated with the ending, the story reminds me how thankful I am that Ms Oldham is letting the beloved characters from her The Falling Series continue on with her novellas of the After We Fell Series. I truly adore each and every one of them; in a lot of ways, this is my favorite as it features my first book boyfriend....you never forget your first, right?
Marisa Oldham is known for playing catch and mouse with her reader's emotions. Ahhhh, that's not true, at all, but she is great with the emotional rollercoaster. I guess I sometimes almost forget how deeply her words have always had a way of digging into my soul. I have been following this series, both in the sense that The Falling of Love begins with Ian, Jaden, Grace and Michelle since they were teenagers into their, if my math is correct, early 30's, and literally as I left my first review for this series in 2014. These characters really have become more to me than fictional people on pages to be moved on from when I sink into my next great read. They feel like old friends, and I am always thrilled to get "updates" on their lives, when they are happy, and when they are sexy, and even when they are heart-wrenching. This latest edition has some of all of the above, and more - just like real life. The realism in these, even though they fall under the rockstar romance umbrella, is definitely a big part of the reason that I am so drawn to these amazing stories. I can't wait for the Next! These are not standalones; you must read The Falling Trilogy, the spin-off novel Learning to Breathe, and the first two novellas in the After We Fell Series before this one. Not a hardship - they are all fantastic reads, and I think you will fall as hard for all of these characters as I have.
With Michelle turning up at Grace’s and letting her know what happened, she realises that she never said no, but just left. After talking things over with Grace and some harsh sisterly advice, Michelle realises that she still loves Micah but he’s gone and she wants to spend the rest of her life with Micah. We also see some of Ian and Grace and see how they are coping in their lives I love this series, the title leads you to believe that this is it – the cover leads you to believe this is it, I love this series and can’t wait for the next book.
Falling Forever is the third book in the After We Fell Series. I fell in love with these characters in book one. This series is a very emotional series. When reading this series you as the reader will feel the emotions of the characters. The twist and turns will keep you on the edge of your seat at all times. The book covers are absolutely beautiful in this book series. The journeys and stories within these beautiful covers are absolutely fantastic!!! I highly, I mean HIGHlY recommend the After We Fell entire book series. Hands down five wonderful stars.
Where do I begin...well Marisa took me on another roller coaster ride of emotion. Her writing just grabs at your soul as you read about the characters you have imagined grow from teenagers to adults with real challenges and successes. I was happy with Jaden and Missy growing together happily with their daughter Micha. I didn't see what was coming at the end and Marisa Oldham has done it to me again. (Grabbing my tissue) Thank you Marisa for bring life back into my favorite characters of all times. I cannot wait for the next book. What will you have in store for us then?
Omg another wonderful installment in The After We Fell Series. You get to see the same characters that you know and love. You get to spend more time with Michelle and Jaden and see their love shining through while Grace and Ian are kinda in the background but still there. I love the way Marisa writes, the words flow right into your heart. You get swept away into the book and you become invested in all these characters. You fall in love and stay in love. I can't wait for the next book.
I'm dying with this ending and can't wait for the next book! What will happen with Michelle?! Can she ever move on from Micah? Will Jaden stay with her or be completely shattered?!
I understand where the author is heading with Michelle's angst but...she is starting to irritate me! Poor Jaden who gives his whole soul to Michelle. Imagine how devastating he is feeling. I will say that the author has a knack for making me emotionally invested and I love that!
