I DID IT. I GOT MY PERMIT! And my driving lessons start today. *gulps* o.O

No plot, hated the writing, bad ending.

I passed!

Shamelessly padding out my 2022 Read list with this one -- when you move to California from another state with a valid driver's license, you still have to write the knowledge exam before you can get a CA license. Finished this in a couple of hours, very dry. Even the pictures are boring. At least it's informative.

Hmm...over a hundred pages, so I think it counts in my "read" books! Technical and repetitive, but I needed to read it to renew my driver's license.

[Srav]

I'm literally putting this on here because it's more than a 100 pages and is a book. If I had to suffer through it, it counts for my reading challenge, lol!

[Alina]

I loved it, it was so compelling. Now I feel the pressing need to drink and drive.

[Sred]

I passed my permit test 😁

I loled so hard when I saw this handbook pop up on goodreads.

I read it when I got my license in 2017. It was actually pretty fun to read, I don't know why.

I think what I loved the most was that the test was definitely from the book and ONLY from the book. Yeah, after years of being duped by professors that say "just study what I tell you to study and you'll be fine"...pretty refreshing.

[Rachel]

I passed the test!!! So I guess it helped? 🤣

[Rediz]

this book was hilarious, trust

[Zeynep]

If you are older than 16 and interested in driving in California, I strongly recommend this book. It is well written. The illustrations are great.

[Shulin Raja]

Gotta get the numbers up somehow

[briella wunderli]

This is a very knowledgeable book with great driving information. Definitely recommend it if you failed on your first try because you didn’t study😁

[Alona]

Officially a California Driver!!! Surprised by how long this book was, but I sped through it (haha driving jokes).

[Anika]

thrilling. talks about death a lot.

[Chris]

still don’t know how to drive

edit 5/13/24: see original review

[Ryan Matsumoto]

Phenomenal book - I learned so much! My favorite part was learning about how Senior Ombudsmans ensure that senior drivers are treated fairly, consistent with laws and regulations, and with dignity and respect.

[evelyn]

yes after two months of having this book marked as reading and more than one year since i could’ve gotten my permit it has been done. i’m a permitted 17 year old

[Sam]

Trash book. Why were there (unfunny) driving memes in it. Whoever wrote this does not understand how to be a clear, concise communicator

[keilani]

I wasted my life reading this so I better pass my permit test

[Katherine]

i passed my test!

[KC]

Edit: Back at it again

Every time I read this soul sucking thing I'm counting it

[Daniel Lopez]

The book was interesting it explained the rules on the road and where i can park without getting a ticket and how to park with the diagrams in the book. Also shows the sign and what each one represents and what it means. Also explains what to do when it is foggy or raining hard overall the book was a great help and hopefully i pass my permit test and my drivers test

[allie]

very intriguing and informational 💥🦅‼️

(i read all 100 pages of this in 45 mins while shaking in the dmv waiting area lol)

(and i’m counting this just because i can. i didn’t read all these pages to NOT count it 😭)

[Sneha Reddy]

I don't want to read this.

[Story!!!]

No plot development, no characters. The climax is really disappointing too. Just the worst book I have ever read.

[Rosa]

Illustrations were a little weird
