I am giving it three starts because I really liked the first book. However I didn't finish the whole series due to the sexual content in book 2. I personally felt that the author went to far in her love scenes and she had more than one of them in the second book. While the characters were married I have read so many other sweet love stories by other Christian authors that capture the beauty of what God intends for love and marriage without going into unnecessary detail. I am always really sad and disappointed when a Christian author feels the need to write detailed love scenes.
Tamera has a way of speaking to my heart and problems thru her writing. This series has been awesome for me to read during a tough time in my life, encouraging me to continue in God's love and to continue cherishing the gift of family that I have, even when times get tough! I couldn't put it down.
I became a fan of Tamera Alexander after I read the first book in her Belmont series. as a result I was expecting great things from this series and it didn’t disappoint. Well done Tamera. Looking forward to reading the next series.
Excellent collection of stories! I enjoyed all of them immensely. Tamera brought Belle Meade to life through her writing and I've added it to my bucket list of places to visit! A definite must read!
All the characters in these novels are captivating and I wanted to follow all their stories. Many loose ends I would like followed up. I did not want it to be done.
