It's a tough job being a princess, but someone has to do it
I have already enjoyed each one of the stories from the series "The Princess" by Alexa Riley:
1. "His princess" with the happy couple princess Alena and King Roman
2. "Stolen princess" with the lovestruck couple princess Giselle and King Karim
3. "Claimed princess" with the friends-to-lovers princess Heavenly and King Carlos
4. "Forbidden princess" with the lady-and-the-tramp story of princess Tabitha and bodyguard Vlad
This collection has all four stories plus a fifth royal one:
5. "Unexpected princess" with the misunderstood princess Star and persistent prince (second to the throne) Romy.
Yes, I absolutely loved this story too!

I read all of these individually, however, this included a bonus short story.
One last great addition to this series- definitely could have read about more princesses.
Hot, sexy, sweet and safe. Also an awesone epilogue that I loved!

They're married when Star is in really drunk state but Romy stated that he already in love with her for a long time but not a man enough. These stories were about deliciously brutish alpha heroes who were like predatory beasts and sweet, virginal heroines who were like lambs being led to the slaughter... if slaughter was a euphemism for a trip to pound town!
His Princess: Alena always felt different, the oddball in the family. Her best friend was also her sister and she couldn't imagine life without her love and acceptance. When it's announced that her marriage has been arranged, she becomes afraid of the unknown. However, King Roman doesn't intend to let fear rule his future wife. With an intense courtship and a willingness to do anything to make her happy, Roman proved himself more than worthy of Alena's love. Their breeding and happiness was just the beginning.
Stolen Princess: The entire kingdom is waiting for King Karim to choose a bride, but he wants nothing to do with any of it. He wants to marry for love and a ball full of available women isn't going to persuade him. And then Giselle walks in and she's everything he could have ever wanted and everything for him changes. Anything seems possible and he proves that he won't allow anyone to get in the way of their fairytale beginning. It was a tale of breeding and happiness!
Claimed Princess: This story was about King Karim's little sister, Heavenly and it ended up being a hot best friends to lovers read. I was a bit annoyed with Heavenly because she was 21 years old and acted like a fresh-faced teen, but I refused to let that get me down as her 'purity and innocence' fed into the story. And King Carlos being insanely sexy helped! Both protagonises were waiting for the other, loving each other from the start, and I loved watching them fall all over themselves to touch and love one another. Being inexperienced didn't hinder them ;)
Forbidden Princess: This story was about Queen Alena's sister. Although I already knew that Tabby had met her match with Vlad, getting the chance to read about their happy beginning was still a treat. Tabby was very protective of her little sister and wanted to ensure her safety and happiness, but when it came to her own, it was hard to picture. She knew she wanted to marry for love and had no desire to find a husband of royal blood. Vlad was perfect because not only did he really see her and want her for his own, while she's busy looking for her sister's happiness, he's intent on seeing to her own. He wants only to protect and honor her. To fall in love and be able to remain close to her sister was like Tabby's dream come true... with tons of orgasms to make it all the sweeter.
Unexpected Princess: This story was about King Carlos's younger brother. Prince Romy had one great love and she was Princess Star, but she never had a clue of his true feelings. Maybe if they had an honest discussion, they'd realize the true depth of their love for one another. There was some running and some chasing and the usual alpha high handedness and it all turned out to be distinctly hot and happy.

A great ending to this series! I loved the story! I loved the series! For me, it's a perfect series!

Romy is a prince and second in line to the throne. His older brother, Carlos (book 3 H) is the king. Star is a princess and an only child.
She woke up in an unfamiliar bed not knowing what happened the night before and was shocked to see a ring on her finger. The man besides her reminded her what happened. The man she had tried to keep her distance because he has a reputation of being a playboy. She has a reputation too as a serial dater because no one seems to get past the first date.
They let people think that way but both of them only wanted to find their true love and they found it with each other.
It has a beautiful epilogue. I'm a little sad it's the last story. This series is really good!

An anthology of sizzling, sexy stories featuring modern-day princesses and the alpha males that love them. Some stories were more engrossing than others; some characters more remarkable and rememberable. Everything revolves around the hunt, capture, and mating of these young women pursued by future kings, second sons and more.
There are loads of steamy scenes with heaps of naughty language, and all the gooey-sweet insta-lurv this writing duo delivers in all of their work. At times repetitive and of course, predictable, each ending has time-forward epilogues for those who can't get enough of each couple. Not bad at all but definitely signature type Alex Riley fiction as always.

Review for the Unexpected princess
A lovely surprise by AR, Unexpected Princess is a quick, fast-paced, sweet and steamy novella. Star and Romy are going to stick inside your head even after you finish the story cause they're quite memorable and sugary characters.
If you love AR style then you're going to really enjoy this one as well, so I definitely recommend it plus it has two sugary epilogs and I'm looking forward to reading the next amazing story the authors are going to create!!!

I'm reading this for the bonus story at the end. Sometimes you just need some safe, brainless fun, that's OTT sweet. :)
No character development, unrealistic portrayal of a royal family, and an OTT alpha prince. I'd forgotten about the coarse language in books by this writing team and will probably pass on Alexa Riley from now on. I remember the previous stories as being sweet, not crass, but I guess my memory's faulty. Thanks for all the safe palate cleansers. :)

The Unexpected Princess was short, sweet, and sooooooo steamy I'm still fanning myself! Romy and Star were so sweet and sexy together! Romy was a caveman. Super possessive, obsessed and jealous! Loved loved his possessiveness! Yummy. And the epilogues were adorable and again we get jealous Romy. Also lots of babies! Perfection! ;)
For those who care I think it is implied that heroine is a virgin and we've been told hero has been celibate since he laid eyes on our pretty heroine.

This is one of my favorite series from this author. No matter how ridiculous it got, the royalty plot is one I cannot resist. As it always happens with the last novella there's not a lot of conflict so it doesn't even feel like a complete story.

His Princess (Book One) -
Alena's life was being planned for her and she didn't even know it. Though it was to be expected as it's her duty as a princess to marry whomever her parents deem is the most beneficial to them. Alena doesn't want to marry Roman, nor does she want to leave her sister and best friend, Tabby. She and Tabby search for a way out, but when she actually meets Roman for the first time, she's suddenly no longer as reluctant to join her future with his.
Roman, the king, knew his life had changed just upon seeing one picture of Alena, his princess. Giselle, finally been able to leave the house, was excited about attending the royal ball...until she got there. Yes, Giselle is a princess and part of the royal world, but only on the periphery as she and her Dad don't really interact within that circle any longer. Seeing all the women in attendance, hoping to catch the King's and become his betrothed, cements the fact of how out of place she truly is with everything happening around her. When the room she's taken sanctuary in welcomes another escapee, she's not sure what to do upon learning he's there for her. But as he bends down to kiss her, she can't do anything but happily accept his mouth on hers.
Karim, knowing he can no longer put off the demands, err suggestions, he choose a bride, and reluctantly agrees to hold a ball for all the single ladies (haha, you sang that as Beyoncé, didn't you? *snicker earworm downloaded*). Karim, seeing the love his parents had for one another before their deaths, knew he wanted the same thing. A love match, the woman truly meant to be his, believing he'd know her upon first glance. Unfortunately, that hasn't happened and he's resigned himself to do his duty and marry for his people instead of love. But then she walks in.

Neither Karim nor Giselle can believe how intense the chemistry and connection is between them. Karim knows he's found his Queen, and Giselle believes she's finally found someone that understands and accepts her as she is. Giselle knows of the outdated law regarding princesses saving themselves for their husband, and though she hasn't yet been given her mystery man's name, she's already accepted she's his. I am totally trash for these over the top sexy time stories. Great to read them again and the bonus novella Unexpected Princess
