Fate: No Strings Attached

Rate this book
Found unconscious in an impact crater in the Cascade Mountains, with no memory of who she is or how she got there, Sloan Tesha attempts to start a new life as she tries to discover who she really is.

As she recovers, the tattoos that cover her body begin to move and morph under her skin, the threads of ink reweaving to reflect the life all around her.

Along with officer Andreya Lisbon, Sloan learns that she is one of the three fabled Fates, the Maiden, and dark forces are on her trail, intent on ending her before she learns to control the power of the threads of life trapped beneath her skin.

Fun story

I liked this twist of fates, ha. No seriously, I enjoyed this twist on the story of the fates and how they were imagined in this modern era. I also can't wait to finally meet the aqua woman.

Fate!

I was super excited for this book because I loved Fate in The Incarnations of Immortality series and I wanted to read Erik's take on the same mythology. As usual he did not disappoint. I don't want to say too much here cause its too fun to read it but I really really love what he's doing with this series

Awesome

This series is the best of Erik’s work. He leaves trails for readers to follow, and characters are intertwined with an interesting plot. There is much more to the series than this one book, but beware the Fates.

Myth made modern

Amnesia patient realizes she not only is she not human, she has lived human lives. Part of good well crafted series.
Really liked roommate Enid and her iron frying pan.

I've come to enjoy all of this author's stories, its easy to get hooked and for me the one that started it all was volume 6 "Anubis" and at the time did not realize it was a series till I finished it and saw on the back cover of the book the various other books in this series and being OCD, I had to go and start from the beginning and am now starting the next one. But this one I enjoyed very much as I too think the Fate's are 3 in 1 of the same? which is a question Sloan "Clotho" asks herself. Liked the dynamic between Sloan and Drey had but then Erik does a good job of pairing compatible characters in all his stories. Love all how the characters from the other volumes in this series interact with each other and can't wait till I get to the last one.

Got a kick out of the mom being Brett! ;-)

Very enjoyable read.

I recommend this series. The characters are very likable and very interesting. The story is really good. Bringing to life ancient beings to the present fantasy at its best being lesbians just makes it that much better. Love stories with kick ass women. Thanks for another winner.

Like the 1st 3 books in this series this story was on the edge of the seat thrilling. Sloan was to me an over the top kind of mystery. Which made her endearing !Andreya Lisbon was scintillating sidekick. This series so far is for me one of my favorites !

The plot was okay, but there was a lot of dialogue that made me cringe. There was also quite a few instances where Erik "rewrote" history to insert a character into a point of time to give an excuse to bring up a quote, but none of it was done with any finesse. He just kinda shoehorned it in.

Another interesting story in the New Sentinels series. I "read" the book via Audible. The performance was quite good but at time the names got a little confusing when it came to who was speaking, especially at the end. I do hope all the stories will come together at some point ast there are open ending to all the books. All in all a fun story.
