This is only the 4th book I've read by Aiden Bates and each has had a different style.
Love in Stereo may be set in an Alpha Omega Mpreg world but what I liked about it was the gentleness of the story.

Mel is an Omega working as a Law Librarian at a law firm where he meets an Alpha an enters into a long term relationship. When Mel gets pregnant the Alpha skips town. ..And that's the end of chapter 1.

Connor is a musician from a traditional Mum, Dad and 2 children family. He moves in across the hall from Mel and wants to get to know his neighbour better.
Mel is from an Alpha Omega family with 2 Dads. Being abandoned by the Alpha leaves him wary of others. He keeps to himself and avoids his noisy new neighbour.
When the two get trapped in the elevator they have to talk to each other...and the story begins.

The story follows Mel and Connor as they get to know each other over the next year. It is not full of angst and drama. It is a lovely romance of two men dealing with everyday issues and family ideals.
An ending that gives you a happy, contented feeling.

I read this book after a prompt from the author and am glad that I did.

It’s a short book, or set of books. I received an instafreebie version of this book with bad formatting, however I lived through it. The story had no real complications or an antagonist. The highest amount of emotional turmoil happens in the first chapter of book 1 and it from there the books flatline.

It is and it isn’t an ABO novel since it only takes the form of ABO with Mpreg, other than that, there really isn’t anything that makes it an ABO novel. I would just label it Mpreg.

The story is just a character going through their pregnancy and everything falling into their laps. No conflict. Just, a feel good story of a pregnant person.

Also, the author “told” the entirety of the novel. Nothing really happened and I, as a reader, couldn’t be engaged with the characters or plot lines.

“That seemed to resonate with Connor, and he spent the next several days devoted to Mel’s comfort. He found a local massage therapist who specialized in prenatal massage (and, surprisingly, charged one-third the fee that Lisa did), installed a fancy showerhead in the bathroom, and did all of their laundry with a special aromatherapy lavender rinse designed to promote relaxation.”

That’s pretty much the writing style of the entire book with some dialogue thrown in.

Mel McDowell, a quiet law librarian at his father's firm, was secretly dating Jaxon, one of the law associates. They had been secretly together for a year, and Jaxon still didn't want to go public, saying he was up for a partnership. When Mel told him he was pregnant, he quit the firm and disappeared. Mel went to his apartment and the doorman asked if he was going to California with Jaxon, when he handed over a box.. The box contained Mel's stuff that he left there.
Mel started to hide his pregnancy immediately, he didn't want his father to file a paternity case against Jaxon.
Mel lives on the fourth floor of a building that the elevator is cranky and the third floor is under renovations. He is irked with his new neighbor who leaves his bags of garbage outside his door instead of getting rid of them. Connor is from Philly and is more laid back than New Yorkers. He is friendly to everyone but notices his neighbor (Mel) is sort of anti social and never has anyone over.
Connor Alnight is the band Ultimate Outlaw that is working hard to make a new record and go on tour. Connor has an obsession with Mel and follows him to the subway one day.
Late one night Mel is craving chubby hubby and is in sweats and a baggy shirt, but decides to go out anyway. Connor is going out also, and they are both going to the bodega for ice cream, Connor is wearing his usual black apparel and eyeliner. Mel thinks he is a drug dealer or something. Connor follows him the whole way home chatting away. They get stuck in the elevator between the third and fourth floor. Connor panics, he has claustrophobia. He yells for help but Mel tells him there are no tenants on the third floor, a deaf old man and a nurse and her son on the second, and two more on the first. The elevator has no emergency phone and cells don't work in the building.
Mel sits on the floor and gets comfy and Connor joins him and they can eat their ice cream with Connor's fork on his pocket knife. They are going to be stuck for hours. Mel asks all about Connor to help him keep his mind off being trapped and he finds out that he really is nice and is a musician and not a drug dealer. Mel tells him he is pregnant and the father took off, and that turns Connor on even more and Mel kisses him and they get it on in the elevator.
From that day on, Connor starts taking care of him as if he is his alpha, even though he is just a gay man. They love each other, but how will it work out when their families find out, and when Connor has to go on tour?

Love in stereo is a sweet alpha/omega romance with lots of hot sex.

The book is really more a straight-up mpreg than an ABO. While it incorperates a pregnant man, it really avoids most other aspects of the trope. The partner isn't alpha, there's very little talk of dynamics and it avoids the controversial dog cock. In a way that's sweet and refreshing, in another it feels more like an avoidance of the trope than an engagement in or subversion of. For me, what makes ABO interesting is the way it, unlike mpreg, engages in a discussion about gender and sexuality by esentially inventing these extra genders to use as a lense.

It's possible I expect too much from my porn.

Love in Stereo is a sweet, unovjectionable true love story. It's candyfloss. All spun sugar. It's adorable and made me ahhh and if there's the hot sex and if that's what you want from your porn this is a great book. I'd also prefer some character nuance and development so, yeah. I felt it lacking in character depth at times and would have liked to see some of the scenes more developed with a better sense of experiencing the emotions instead of just being told about them.

Again, possible I expect too much from my porn.

Love is Stereo is a sweet, hot story. Great if you want a quick happy feeling of some variety. A very cute read.

I am so in love with this book. I don't want to give out spoilers but if you love a romance that has you grabbing for tissues and gushing OMG this is so sweet. Read it now! I could not put it down and read the whole thing in one sitting. The characters are sweet and real and larger than life. I finished with a goofy grin on my face and so much love in my heart. All of Aiden's books do this to me. I am such a sucker for sweet Omega/Alpha romance but this had a darling twist that will have me rereading it whenever I need to cuddle up with a really good romance. http://aidenbates.com/free-book-love-...

4.5 stars.A sweet, warm and loving story that I gobbled up in one sitting. I appreciated the general lack of angst and positive nature of the story. I would appreciate more dialogue and less just being told about the action in paragraphs, but I do enjoy this author.

I enjoyed this book very much. It was a refreshing view points on Alpha, Omegas and Regular guy who was not an Alpha, or a Beta falling in love with an Omega. Great story telling.
