Mr. Murry is a very talented novelist. When I saw he had a poetry book out, I was compelled to buy it. I am glad I did. Mr.Murry writes in a non-traditional style. It flows and calls to your soul. As you read it, windows open in your mind and you see a view of the world you had been missing. The poems beg to be read more than once. Every reading gives you a little more insight into..Roy..yourself? My two favorite ones are: Casa Guardia-Holding Cell it is a poignant look at forgiveness. The view of the guilty. Love the line "Don't we all do something wrong". I can't help but wonder how the guilty person would act if he was the one being asked for forgiveness...is an idea present in the poem's description of the jailer's response?
Doubt is the other poem that touched me the most. So often we get stuck in a rut and wonder when we will be free. Never realizing we are the ones holding ourselves in place. "When will it be soon?" my favorite line.
The art by Gabriele Napierata Autorin is hard to see on my kindle but it appears to be perfect compliments to Mr. Murry's verses.
UPDATE: I received my signed Paperback and I must say the art is amazing! Gabriele is a very talented woman! Kudos to both!
