I liked the story but I didn't love it as much as I'd liked to. There's a long internal monologue and I was tempted to skip the part.
The story is about Todd and Mallory.
He was a marine and a good man but because of a lie she said, he was sent to jail for five years.
The only think he could think of while in prison was to get his revenge and now that he's out and free, he can exact his vengeance. But once he started to spend time with her, he realized something's not right and she wasn't the person he thought her to be. He can't helped falling for her.
She's a good girl and didn't intend to ruin anyone's life. Because of a mistake she did, she punished herself by not allowing herself to be happy. She's engaged to a man she doesn't love.
They want to be together but she doesn't know how to break it off until Todd made the final move.
It has a nice epilogue.

1 GET READY FOR A RANT STAR!!!
Okay. So I was kind of upset going into this book because I couldn't read a sample on Kindle. When I clicked on the sample off Amazon and opened it, it was just enough of a sample to read the acknowledgements and the list of her previous work. The second the story actually started the sample was finished... so I'm not sure if Ms. Silver even has a say in how long the sample is but the fact that I couldn't get a feel for the story BEFORE dropping $4.99 CAD was kinda upsetting.
Had I read even a bit of the first chapter I would not have bought the book, but anyways...
So the first thing about the story that was extremely annoying was the amount of internal dialogue by Todd in the beginning. He was descriptively describing everything, it was getting boring right from the start. I was reminded of High School English where the teacher would tell us to 'show not tell' when writing... there was soo much telling going on.
And once the story finally begins after we've heard Todd's life story we get an extremely doormat h who was OTT annoying. I mean her poor fiance didn't even do anything, but his character was totally screwed over. Here's the thing, it's not that I hated her for cheating on him, but it was just handled in such a mean way. I've read stories where the main characters were in relationships before and found other people and fell in love, and while it sucks it does happen and I don't mind those stories. But Todd and Mallory were such assholes about their affair. The fiance wasn't a bad guy and they totally ruined his life for no reason.
I can't even say I enjoyed the sex in this story because my brain was clouded with so much anger and disgust. I pretty much skimmed through... waste of money & time.

This was ok for me. Todd was sent to jail for 5 years because of a lie Mallory told when she was sixteen. When he is released the only thing on his mind is to finally get revenge on her. After spending time with her and realising that something is not adding up, he changes his plans. At this point in her life Mallory is engaged to someone else. In fact, she has sex with Todd in the same bed she shares with said fiance. Mallory is not in love with him at all. She is only with him to punish herself because of her past actions, but she does cheat on him with Todd for a little bit before finally breaking it off. This did not bother me, but it might bother others so I thought it was important to mention. Other than that it was a descent read.

I enjoyed this book. I have read several book from Jordan Silver in the past but had to take a brake because the books were just a too much for me(if you have read these book I think you know what I am talking about). After a recommendation I decided to try this one and I'm glad I did. Yes this book is over the top in some parts but not in a bad way. The hero is crazy possessive but I really enjoyed this one. it's a fast fun and hot read.

"Beast Mode Todd" is the story of Mallory and Todd.
Hmm.. Nah.
The book has a revenge-fuck plot. The H is incriminated and jailed five years ago, partially due to the h's fault and comes back seeking vengeance. The h is now engaged to OM, but the hero wants retribution so wiggles his way into her and her fiance's home, and starts to fuck her.
Now if the fiance was an asshole, and the heroine was actually being tortured or was unhappily trapped in the relationship, I would be like oh this is fine. However, the heroine was pretty happy with her fiance, who was a nice guy (until JS suddenly decided to make him an asshole at the very end)- until the hero entered with his giant cock and decided to fuck her. He was and OK character, she was utterly unlikable and spineless. She cheats on her fiance, who BTW she WAS in a sexual relationship with, and not one time did she feel bad or apologize. The ending barely made any sense.

Hero was a marine but because of the heroine he was sent to jail for five years. Now that he is out he wants revenge. Heroine is engaged to a nice guy and she cheats on him with our hero so don't read this if u hate cheating. I like this author's super possessive stalker heroes. Epilogue with their baby girl was super cute!

H is sent to jail because of the h's mistake for nearly 5 years. After he is out he is all set to take his revenge. But falls for her on th process. H is full ott, cusses a lot and is a dirty talker.

It seems like her books have been hit or miss lately and this one was just okay for me. Todd Rogers enlisted in the Marines after high school graduation, he served nine years before he retired. He came home and planned to open a custom motorcycle shop with his cousin Doug. He saw Mallory at a BBQ and when she tried to talk to him he immediately ended the conversation because of her age. She was 16 at the time and her friends dared her to go and talk to Todd but he ended it before she could flirt. Him and his cousin had just signed the papers for their business and his cousin came over to celebrate. In the blink of an eye the cops show up at his apartment to arrest him and find a pound of weed in his possession. Todd is outraged the weed was not his so he starts thinking one of the cops planted it there. He also gets charged with Child Endangerment, Corruption of a Minor, and Possession with Intent to Sell. Mallory started a rumor that she and Todd had sex and somehow it got back to the cops. Todd could've gotten 20 years but the judge was a Marine so he got sentenced to 5 years in prison. Five years later and Todd is now 32 years old and hellbent on revenge against Mallory and whoever planted the weed. He's now free and he's spent the last five years plotting, planning and learning everything he can about Mallory.

This story was a good one. Normally I don't like cheating, but 1) she wasn't in love with this milquetoast and 2) they hadn't been intimate in over a month so I gave it a pass. Of Ms. Silvers' latest books, this one was better.

Five years ago Todd brushed off the attempt of jail bait Mallory, however one lie turned into a prison sentence. Now Todd is out and plans to get his revenge on Mallory before getting his life back in order. Mallory never meant for her lie to take hold and ruin Todd's life, she decided to live her life in a self imposed sentence of her own. Todd's back though and he wants his revenge, however he never expects to fall for Mallory.
I like these type of stories but this one just didn't work for me. With Todd I get his stance but he was so brutal at times I couldn't get past it. Was so so for me.

I actually pretty liked this book. So it starts off with Todd fresh outta prison and vengeance is definitely on his mind. After Mallory spread a rumor around that he touched her, he has planned everything he's gonna do to ruin her after she destroyed his life. He's been watching her for years, even in prison and once he's out he has managed to buy a house right next door to her. He set up cameras in her house to spy and becomes confused about how she changed completely from when she did at 16. She became withdrawn from herself, and no longer has that spark in her eyes. He starts questioning himself but never wavers in his goal to get between her legs just like he thinks she wanted 5 years before.
Caution: there is cheating in this and very steamy sex scenes, although I don't really care much for it in this situation. The heroine is engaged to another man, but their relationship is all kinds of strange. Like no kissing (just hello/goodbye pecks), touching, even love. Mallory is only with him to punish herself for ruining Todd's life.
Anyways after they have sex Todd becomes addicted to Mallory. He stills wants vengeance but at the same time reassures her when she is scared or frightened of him. He comes over to her house before the fiancé arrives and is with the heroine sexually. He even comes over almost every night for dinner after they had just done the deed...going on, the heroine eventually reveals why she spread the rumor as she was pretty much a victim of blackmail by the hero's best friend. The hero sets off to ruin his life instead.
This is a safe read minus the heroines cheating, but If you read it you'll understand how it's not a big deal. The heroine gets pregnant at the end and has a baby. The ending was perfect!! I loved it. Really sweet HEA with a devoted, alpha man.

I'm a big fan of Jordan Silver but I honestly didn't like this book for the simple reason that the heroine is a cheater. She cheated on her fiance & slept with the hero on the same bed she sleeps with her fiance. I really didnt like that. The story line was actually very good. The hero comes out of prison after 5 years & wants his revenge. It seems 5 years ago, the heroine told a lie that had a hand on the hero being sent to prison. So he comes out & starts stalking the heroine in her home that she shares with the fiance. Eventually, the hate turns into love & before you now it, the hero demands that the heroine leaves her fiance & moves in with him next door. I felt sorry for the fiance because he really didnt do anything bad.He was weak & a softie but he wasnt mean or anything. So I guess he was better off without the heroine. This book didnt work for me but I will continue to support & buy Jordan's books. Her other stories are just awesome.

I really enjoy anything Jordan Silver writes, and this one did not disappoint. I loved the twist in this love story. Todd is angry he’s spent five years in prison because of a lie teenage Mallory told. When he gets out and goes looking for revenge against a very grown-up Mallory, he quickly realizes that nothing is adding up.
What I loved most is that his anger isn’t brushed aside or magically fixed. Todd is still furious, but he’s also observant and thoughtful. He notices a fear in Mallory that doesn’t make sense to him, and instead of ignoring it, he starts paying attention even while making mistakes along the way.
If you enjoy over-the-top, demanding alpha men who take control but are willing to see the bigger picture and protect their woman once they understand the truth, you’ll love this one.
What I loved most is that his anger isn’t brushed aside or magically fixed. Todd is still furious, but he’s also observant and thoughtful. He notices a fear in Mallory that doesn’t make sense to him, and instead of ignoring it, he starts paying attention even while making mistakes along the way.

When it comes to Jordan Silver, I don't rate her stories like all the others. I rate them against each other, because that's the only way I can judge them.
So how did this one rate among her numerous other smutty works?
I'd say it's somewhere in the middle.
There was a bit more of a storyline to this one than normal (not that I paid it much attention). The sex was plentiful (as always), aggressive (ditto) and far from 'loving' - which I've noticed more and more in her books lately. However, it wasn't quite as 'rapey-vibe' as her more recent stories have been. I mean, the girl in this book was only mildly against having sex the first time.
Just don't expect a masterpiece and you shouldn't be disappointed.

i must say that after reading beast mode Jake was not really eager to read these book, but i good a good surprise, we see that back story of why the issue that happen to the male lead and whats happening in his mind, then we see how the lead lady is now and why it happen, and the how he is al sexy alpha and ready to show ¨his woman¨ ( and i quote him) how he really is and that she better know now about it.
The sexy times ohhhh man these are the Omg bring me ice right now taking a show kind of types, yumm i must say the writer kind of redeem herself a bit, i will think twice when i see her book unfortunalty beacuse her other book .
if you want a good steamy afternoon pick these book up it wont let you down.

Todd got sent to prison for five years for a crime he didn't commit. He spent those five years plotting his vengeance against Mallory, the sixteen year old girl who started it all. Five years has come and gone and now he's living right next door to Mallory. He's plans on getting his vengeance and leaving her life in tatters. But that's not what ends up happening and there's more to his imprisonment than he first suspected. This is a great read and I highly recommend it!

Awesome story!
As usual Jordan Silver is the master story teller that weaves a tale so fantastic that it will amaze you with it's beautiful storyline. I was hesitant to purchase this book because the preview was not what I would expect, but I was shocked by how spellbindingly fascinating this book turned out to be! Truly worth the purchase, you will be glad you read it, will put a smile on your face at the end. Thank you Ms. Silver for your wonderful talent!

Repetitive
It was ok I was expecting something more I guess. Her usual books keep me satisfied, like I feel she ends them well. The story was up nicely. I'm this book though it felt as if the first matter of fact the whole book he kept talking about revenge and their history. I feel like they didn't get to the meat of the story too like the last few chapters and the epilogue.

It was ok
The first half pretty boring. All it is, is narration literally! I think there was maybe 2/3 sentences of character interaction and that was it. But then once you get through that the story redeems itself a little and it had a good epilogue. Definitely not worth the $5 I spent for it though.

Another Silver turned Gold!
Another great story for Jordan; her writing style is unique and second to none! This story quickly grabs your attention right from page one. It was fun and easy to fall in love with the hero and heroine. I am proud to add this book to my growing collection of Jordan Silver books!

I love Jordan Silver books. For me, they are the perfect cure for my book funks. This one was no different. This story is about Todd and Mallory who did not meet in the conventional way of boy meets girl. I really like the Dirty, hot alpha exchange between these two that only Jordan Silver can write about.

This was a very different story than her other books. This had a lot of backstory that could have been cut out because it seemed redundant. I get the vengeance part but the way he was consumed bothered me. I felt sorry for the girl because she was just trying to protect herself.

This is a great story of two characters male, and female that makes this storylines interesting. It have haters to lovers, interesting innuendo, captivating sexual scenes .This is about a situation with a intriguing companionship, or a captivating relationship ,between two people becoming one.

One of my favorite books!
I love this book. Not every road to a true life long love is an easy path. Todd and Mallory's path to each other was filled with lies, deceit, 5 years in prison, and a roller coaster of other emotions. I most definitely recommend this book I love the story and I never get tired of rereading this book.

Hot!!
I really liked this story. Mallory punishes herself for her bad decision and Todd has vengeance planned for her but boy was he surprised! I was afraid I wouldn’t like as well since she was engaged but Jordan wrote in such a way I was cheering for Todd all the way. Hot romance as usual 😉 thanks for another good one

Great Book!
I loved this book. This is the first of Jordan's books that I have liked in a while, even with the dig in chapter 6. I love her alpha males in these types of books. They would never hurt there women but they still know how to dominate.
