I loved both these book and would say that Carry On is definitely one of my favourite books of all time. Fangirl is amazing as well. Reviews for both these books are as follows:

FANGIRL

Rainbow Rowell knows how to keep her fans happy and interested in her books. After reading Eleanor and Park, I expected so much from this book and again I'd say I wasn't disappointed. I don't know if I love this more than Eleanor and Park. I really don't know, it's so hard to choose(not that anyone's asking me to choose).

Cath, oh my god how I loved her character and Levi is pretty good too. I felt all the things that Cath felt, I liked what and whom she liked. I hated everything that she hated. I even considered myself to be Simon Snow fan until I remembered that I'm not Cath and also I'm a Harry Potter fan. The only thing that bugged me was that it was set in the same universe as Harry Potter. Aside from that no complaints at all.

All Rainbow Rowell fans, this can't be missed.

CAARY ON

This has got to be my most favourite Rainbow Rowell book. In fact this is added to my all time favourite list. I want to give it a zillion stars.

I know we all think that this is Harry Potter's story and I thought the same when I read Fangirl by Rowell but it is somehow different to that. May be majority won't agree with me but if you read this book without pre-conceived notions of Harry Potter then you'll see how it's all different. This is a story of 'The Chosen One' and yes it's a take on Harry Potter but if you get into the story you'll know what I mean. Oh who am I trying to convince, fans of Carry On already know so and love it with all their hearts.

Simon Snow and Baz, I couldn't get enough of them. And what a star Penelope is. I loved everything about it. I also got into fan fiction for this which I hadn't done since Harry Potter and Vampire Academy days.

I love my gay shit. Also, I could swear that I could swear that I had already written about this book, but oh well here I go again.

First of all I found it insanely funny the protagonists obsession with Baz. I was like reading a Harry Potter fanfic and I loved it. I don't know how Rowell feels about her work being compared to J.K. Rowling but I personally loved it.

I feel like the book fell short with its main paring, I mean ONLY ONE KISS!?(if I remember correctly) Seriously!? If you want to read this book you should also check out Fangirl or don't I read this book before Fangirl. It works as a stand alone really well. I only got confused at the begining about who was who. But still you guys should read it ASAP!!!

I loved the book, however it did start off without any context, but as I read it got more and more clear. Personally, it could have used more romance between Simon and Baz, and the ending seemed a little bit abrupt, but it was good nonetheless. I would definitely recommend this if you are into some romance. And the scenario in which this takes place is also very descriptive. I loved the book!

Book one was a slow read, the beginning was hard to get into. It wasn't until Baz comes in, in the second (part) book that I was unable to put the book down. Some of the twists I was able to see, but some I was not. I really love the ending and how it all turned out. I will admit I have so many questions still that I hope will be answered in the next two books. It goes to show that you don't have to worry about what you are or think about it but to just feel and live in the moment to find who you are.

*~SPOILERS~*
Rowell did an amazing job I think with Baz and Simon's Chemistry (especially with the kiss scenes, they were the best and I fangirled once I read those and the ending). I will not lie I thought Simon was mixed at the beginning of the book and was kind of disappointed to find otherwise. I personally could tell the Mage was a bad guy and I thought he was the Hudrum. I knew Lucy must've been related to Simon. What confused me is that bother her and Natashia said "my little rosebud boy" and they both had starts in their parts so it makes me wonder if Lucy came through at the end when Natasha was speaking. I was kind of surprised to hear the Mage was Simons father, but when we found out he dated Lucy it was then that I thought he was Simons father. It is sad that Simon never got to know that he was meant to have magic but his dad was crazy and his mom was just in love. I think his mom died after childbirth or the Mage might have killed her, but I am unsure and I just want answers. I am disappointed that Ebb died, yeah was not that big of a character but I loved her still.

This book was great! I loved the humor in it and just the world Rowell created in general-it was extremely well thought out and complex. I also liked the plot twist with Baz and Simon's relationship. I couldn't believe it and it was so unexpected that I loved it-and grew to love them as a couple-throughout the book. That being said, I would have to say this book is a tiny bit predictable. Maybe I'm just good at guessing endings because I read so much, but I guessed right off the bat that the Mage was Simon's father. The entire situation with the Humdrum did seem a bit tedious at times and the twist on that was a little more complicated than I expected, but I wasn't a huge fan of the Humdrum's character through the book. I did like the fact that Simon lost his magic in the end because it was never really his to begin with. Also, can we talk about how he had to keep his tail and wings?! I loved it! Overall, it was a really good book that was pretty easy to read in general with a good plot(much like Harry Potter, but not like Harry Potter, because nothing can compare to Harry Potter)!

Okay wow. This novel is great and very dramatic and has you gasping and giggling (or at least it had me gasping and giggling) because of all the "unexpected turn of events" and the "drama". It is a fun book and there's nothing specifically bad about it. BUT- I was kind of- like- just- oh wow. There are some scenes that for my taste are a bit too expressive, but to each their own, right? I also thought it was kind of predictable, but so are most teen novels. Also, kind of a "gay copy of Harry Potter" but whatever - just because it's about magic doesn't mean the copied J.K. Rowling right? :/ Anyway, it was a fun read and there's no reason why I would not not recommend it.

Full disclosure: I picked this book from the audiobook shelf because the author's name began with R (I'm reading alphabetically) and because there was a blurb from Lev Grossman on the cover. I didn't read the synopsis or anything. I swear I did not know it was going to be essentially bizarro world Harry Potter fan fiction!
Imagine Harry and Malfoy are roommates with sexual tension and Ron and Hermione are one person and Dumbledore is Jack Sparrow. Got it? Now you've read the whole book. You can probably skip this one, unless you're into that kind of thing.

I loved the different points of view, and the detail. it was a bit harder for me to start the book but after a few chapters and the "big revelation" I couldn't put it down. The plot twists and the story itself was amazing. one of my favourites, I did not read Fangirl so I didn't know what to expect and I think that was a good thing. I finished it in 3 days Recommend. Although I wish the ending had a bit more to it.

This was an exciting book a friend introduced me because I wanted something magical, and I thought it was the same plot as harry, potter, with its "chosen ones," etc. In the beginning, it was dull, and I didn't get into the context till later, which makes the rest of the story interesting they were so many parts that made me gasp and the adorable romantic moments in the book! I would recommend this to someone that likes magic and romance.

Its a beautiful and heartbreaking/heartwarming book. My feelings for the characters have grown so much and it broke my heart but i also love the ending! The first 200 pages are a little boring in my opinion but it gets really good after! So intense and so many plot twists. I'm still left with too many questions!!! I have too many theories too! In my opinion this is better than harry potter its like the harry potter but it leaves u with things that complete u. MUST READ BOOK!

"It’s a brilliantly addictive, genuinely romantic story about teenagers who can’t be neatly sorted into houses, coping with stress and loss and the confusion of just trying to be who they are. It’s as if Rowell turned the Harry Potter books inside out, and is showing us the marvelous, subversive stuffing inside

Um can I commend this book enough? Seriously, I loved this book! Rainbow Rowell writes so flawlessly. I've wanted to know more and Simon and Baz since I read Fangirl, and finally I got to fall in love with the characters almost as much as she did. I'm buying the audio book Wayward Son tonight! I can't wait for it be available at the library.

Great concept and amazing characters and overall development but in some parts, the plot seemed rushed with little to no explanation. Yet despite this, it was quite the overall quite enjoyable experience!

It is a boring at the first once you get to page 50 or around there it starts getting interesting near the end you start wondering things like how did he do this or you should not do it. I am just saying it is a really good book and you should really read it.

This was a good book. There was swearing, but not excessively. They don't give us much background in the beginning, so it was kinda confusing, but they gave it to us later on in the book. I enjoyed the characters' humour and can't wait to read the next one!
