A beautifully illustrated cookbook that reimagines restaurant favorites with fewer carbohydrates. The book is divided by cuisine types and includes sections on Mexican, Italian, Asian, and Indian cuisine. A final section provides recipes for condiments and broths found in other recipes. Nutritional information is provided for all recipes, although it is easy to overlook as it is found in very small print at the bottom of the page of each recipe. The only disappointing feature of this cookbook (beyond as always hoping for more vegan/vegetarian recipes) is that most desserts rely on artificial sweeteners.
The only thing I miss about eating out now is the not having to clean up. I don't have to worry about hidden ingredients and feeling sick after. Most of the recipes are pretty simple to prep and cook and don't call for any strange ingredients. It's broken down by food nationality and so far the results have been delicious. I made the protein noodle lasagna and literally had to limit my husband from eating the whole thing. He said it was so good and the only thing that was different from the "real" thing was that he had to cut it with a fork. Looking forward to trying a lot more of the recipes in the future.
Everything is viable for the average person to make - no complicated, strange or uber expensive ingredients, and no massive workloads. Also, happily, it was not dependent on heavy cream, cream cheese, and other ingredients that often don't agree with me.
Absolutely every recipe we tried was delicious! Cannot recommend highly enough.
Maria manages to turn every recipe in to a fabulous adventure in to flavor without feeling you are missing out on the unhealthy counterpart. Keto is an amazing lifestyle and through all her books I learn something new about the negative effects of some foods on my body.
I am so glad I got this book. I have bookmarked several recipes to try right away. I look forward to trying a few that will push me out of my comfort zone a bit.
All I can say is YYYAAAAAAASSSSSS! This is the best cook book on Keto I have ever read. I want to make everything out of here. It is easy to understand and follow and so yummy.
