We began our journey through angelology thousands of years ago and here we are now, in front of our computers, marveling at the things we have yet to discover about angels and about ourselves, as well. We met the angels of Zoroastrianism, we traveled with Enoch and we fell with Samyaza, we listened to John Dee’s conversations with angels, we made acquaintance with Enochian magic, we flew with Lucifer and then we dove towards the Middle Ages, when angels walked the streets. After that, we visited the visionary Emanuel Swedenborg and finally reached the heir of all these angelologists, Rudolf Steiner, who has immanentized angels. Every important moment and every important turn of angelology was heretofore immortalized in this pages. Of course, as one may expect, these pages are the mere tip of the iceberg. There is such a vast corpus of information that you would need a lifetime to soak even half of it. But that should not be a stall in the way of someone that has become stricken with this angel-fever. It is a challenge that person should embrace wholeheartedly.
With all these, angelology seems to have reached a halt. It is more an arcane topic, much like Wicca or shamanism, something that must stay in the past so it does not change its paradigms. For us, the ones interested in angels, is an advantage. If angelology would hemorrhage into the 21st century, it would become a reflection of the materialism that gnaws at the heart of the modern world. It is better off where it has been left. We can always read hundreds of books on the subjects, each more developed in terms of information than the other. Whether angels are real or not, we are the ones that have to give this verdict. Given the unpleasant situation of the world today, infected by superficiality, egotism and boiling wars, we all hope that they are indeed real and they are guiding us towards our becoming winged servants ourselves.
