Extraordinarily well balanced between action, unlocking the hidden mysteries of the protagonists origins and starting the final sprint towards the extermination of the Fury menace. The absolute best in the series so far!

Christian Kallias had me captivated from the first page to the last in the Universe in Flames book series. Each book gets better and better with heart-pounding action and intrigue that makes you want to keep reading more. It has a twisting plot with suspense and non-stop action that makes this a superb sci-fi additional to anyone’s library.

The series is not only intriguing but also has heart-wrenching moments that pull you in. The author has a unique ability to create scenes that are vivid and have you right there with the characters feeling the emotions, action, and fast-paced excitement.

The interactions between characters are intense, yet also funny and believable. The characters are both complex and interesting. Christian is able to describe poignant emotions while discussing the experience of loss and love that the characters travel through with each other. The storyline throughout the series held a steady pace.

Christian has gone above and beyond in creating riveting books that allow the reader to journey to far-reaching places. He is like a musical maestro, where the stories already felt so powerful and perfect, but the guy has managed to go one step higher in each book.

I would definitely recommend reading this series from the beginning; you won’t be disappointed.

Arrrrrrh! When's the next book out?

I keep saying it...Mr. Kallias, has done it again!!! I can't believe so much is inside his head! Don't get me wrong! I love that man's imagination.
The story of Chase and his ever expanding family, friends and foes of course...."IN A GALAXY fa..."...hmmm? Here actually
Chase arrived from his devastated home world, at a future Eath.
Running from their foe, dangerously low on resources, they had no choice but to request a haven, somewhere where they could rest, regroup and carry out repairs, they were, eventually accepted, they lived side by side helping each other....unfortunately their contentment was short lived as....Hey! Why don't you get along to Amazon and start the Universe in Flames series, commencing with book one Earth Last Sanctuary!
For you avid followers out there, it's gonna be a bumpy Astral ride to the future, our collective future!...battles, bloodshed, surprises, shocks, sadness annnd! some steamy chapters! Ladies!..So! who ever you are, newbies or avids? this book will knock your socks off! There's sooo! much to tell you...but I won't spoil it for you ;) I don't think you need a remainder...Lol 📖

The Asgardian Thor and his mighty hammer and Earth Alliance forces, join in battle with Olympians against evil aliens and ancient enemies. I love this series because instead of placing it on familiar streets of Earth, it has epic space battles using science and technology, not magic. However its imagery is magical. Battles proceed at such a dizzy pace, you are flung from Asgard to Olympus Prime, from warship to distant planet, even as new powers are discovered and unleashed.

I was delighted how the ancient Olympians stayed true to their classic roots. Zeus with his lightening bolts, wandering eye, and all too human belligerence still has disdain for earth. Yet his power is truly awesome. Characters are always developing, not only their powers but their moral compass, feelings and relationships. Yet their superpowers, even death, can be thwarted by innovative new techology.

If you want lots of action, join the adventure and start the series, or continue it with this volume, #8.

I voluntarily reviewed an arc of this book in exchange for an honest review

This book is full of action, thrills, and adventure from page one. There is a mix of Asgardian, Olympian, human, and alien events all thrown together for survival in a war against a ruthless adversary who really doesn't care who lives or dies. The situations are tense because the reader has no clue as to how the battles will end and who will survive. The gods are displayed with the same powers from historical lore, but instead of being magical based, are technological based. There are certain situations that take a leap of faith on the readers part, but it all blends together nicely

Epic Military/Mythology Space Opera Gets Better with Each Volume

Kallias ties together more of the many plotlines in this volume, as our protagonists find more allies, but lose more friends. He does this very tightly, as answers and issues are exchanged between the allies. Good writing, characters mature and develop as the war continues. Some very unlikely allies are found, but more will come in future volumes, I am sure.

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED AS BOTH AN INDIVIDUAL BOOK AND AS A SERIES!!

My heart is aching!

War is terrible. I grew up with war movies in the 50's & 60's. It was glorified until the Vietnam war. Then our eyes were opened to the horrors. This this story was great but the ending was so sad. I can only hope that the fantasy aspect and imagination of the creator will end it well in the next 2 books. The dialogue after the book ended from the author was uplifting with his plans for future books. I love his writing style and look forward to all his current and future books.

A great series of books and a must read

As a member of the ARC team for Chris, I was able to read this book a little earlier then most. But I will recommend that if you have yet to read any of his books then check them out. In this book the action appears non stop, with strands of information on each characters building with each book. I am sure will be looking forward to book 9.

The newest edition to this series is great. It is fast paced and with many plots twisting through it as you follow the brothers into battle. The characters are interesting and well written to create a tale you don't want to put down. With all the fire fights and battles you need to pay attention as you try to figure out what will happen next. I'm looking forward to the next book in the series.

The continuing story of Chase and team.
Lots of action and some sadness as well mixed in.
The Fury's are getting mad at The Earth alliance making inroads on defeating them and take some unusual tactics to try an win again.

As with all of Christian's books you need to read the series from the start to understand some of the interactions between the characters, but you will not be left wanting if you do.

Can't wait for book 9

Awesome story and action but very frentic

Only drawback to this series is the believability of the action. It's too much to quickly. Even with teleportation and the ability to heal instantly, it is hard to imagine the amount of action taking place in the timeframe sited. The only downtime is in hyperdrive from one place to another. It doesn't give the reader a chance to absorb the nuances of all of the fights.

A wonderful book, that carries on from the other books. The action and characters are totally amazing. You just get lost in the story and before you know it, it's over. Hopefully they'll be more in the future from this fantastic author Received an ARC, but would have bought it anyway. Don't miss this or any of the other books.

Chase & Co. Keep Up the Pace

Book 8 moves along quickly and offers loads of action. The story arc continues to move towards the ultimate good vs. evil battle we all know is coming. Here’s hoping the final two books bring the series to a fitting conclusion.

It's hard to believe that the intensity of the action can increase with every volume in the set, but it does. This is a marvelously creative series of books.

More powers

I really like how this book shows more powers that are used to deal with foes. New powers keep these stories alive and more interesting.
