In his latest novella, Marc Cameron brings Jericho Quinn back for another high-octane adventure, this time way out of his comfort zone. The Triple Frontier—the area where the sovereign states of Argentina, Brazil, and Paraguay converge—is extremely dangerous. Drug running and human smuggling are common, creating a zone where the authorities have all but stopped trying to enforce the law. Bo Quinn is down in the region with a group of rich Americans to ride their motorcycles around the country. While travelling one morning, they are ambushed by a group of locals, though Bo is able to activate his SOS and GPS beacons before being tossed into the back of a van and led away. Back in America, Bo’s older brother, Jericho, receives word that the beacon has been activated, but cannot raise his sibling over the phone. Panicked, Jericho prepares to make his way down to South America, though his close friends will not let him go alone. On a rescue mission, Jericho prepares to head into the unknown, though is promised the help of a local when he arrives. Meanwhile, a ransom note comes in, seeking $3 million, only to be trumped by another offer of five million. Could rival cartels be using Bo and his clients as pawns in a larger battle? By the time they reach the Triple Frontier, Jericho and his entourage realise that this is one mission that will not end peacefully. When an unexpected individual shows up to offer Jericho added support, the mission takes on an entirely different flavour. Cameron provides an entertaining addition to the Jericho Quinn series that fans of the collection will surely enjoy as they wait for the next full-length book.
Marc Cameron has done well crafting the Jericho Quinn series over the past numbers of years. While he has taken on some additional series work elsewhere, fans of the novels have been biding their time with some novellas, though their quality remains at the highest calibre. While much attention has been spent on Jericho and his interesting backstory, Cameron has only recently shed any light on the life of the younger Quinn, Bo. In this piece, the reader is able to see just how resilient Bo can be when faced with trouble, cool under pressure and ready to fight for what he feels is right. As the premise of the piece is an intense rescue mission, Jericho is still able to take centre stage in this story and does so, showing a compassionate side when it comes to protecting his family. Some of the secondary characters on both sides are able to keep the attention focused on the fast pace of the rescue mission, adding interesting flavours to the narrative. The story remains a ‘cookie cutter’ effort to save those who are being held captive, but it is the way in which Cameron approaches the story and how he is able to inject some much-needed humour into the dialogue to lighten the mood. With a narrative that clips along, the reader is swept up in this novella that has as much action as any of the stories that Cameron has published to this point. That being said, I eagerly await something longer in the near future.
Kudos, Mr. Cameron, for this entertaining piece. I can always count on something interesting and full of adventure when you write.

I know my favourite type of books are action thrillers, and this author attracted my attention on Amazon after finishing a Mark Greaney book.
Thought I would start with a short story see how I liked the character and the style of the author, and I enjoyed it. I guess now I have to go back to book number one....

What a great, fast-paced adventure we find our hero Jericho Quinn in as he has received a SOS from his brother Bo. Bo is a guide for some young rich people on motorcycles in Brazil,Paraguay and Argentina area where there is much crime in a lawless zone. Jericho can not raise him on his cell phone so immediately plans to travel. Luckily the people he still trains with are ready to be right beside him, the team calling in for assist from friends all over the country.
Even though this is a novella the story is complete,suspenseful and keeps you holding your breath until the end!
The author has done an amazing job with this character, and we get to know his father and brother some in this story.
I received this book from Netgalley, and I thank them along with author Marc Cameron and publisher Pinnacle for letting me enjoy this story and write my thoughts for you.

A quick read, this action-hero sequence is set at the meeting of Argentina, Paraguay, and Brazil, a lawless area where kidnappings are brutal and frequent. Bo Quinn is leading a motorcycle tour to the tip of South America, but it's fortunate his Special Agent brother Jericho Quinn can ride to the rescue not a moment too soon. Tough, Brutal, Exhilarating. A fun ride.

When the opening line is - Nothing says "your prompt payment is appreciated like the sight of another man's severed toe" - you know that you are in for one hell of a ride.
Jericho Quinn is very much a smaller Jack Reacher type enforcer, but with one massive difference: he is accompanied by a team of bad asses in the form of the monstrous, pirate eye-patch Cajun, Thibodaux and the small, enigmatic martial arts specialist, Miyagi.
This novella is a fun, action packed romp into kicking serious ass and not bothering to ask questions later.

Readers of novellas should not be discourage because the story is not a full length novel but still an exciting and action adventure read. This tale only reminds me of how much I enjoy Marc Cameron’s full length stories about Jericho Quinn and his supporting characters. In this story, Quinn’s brother is kidnapped while working as a motorcycle guide in the Triple Frontier area of South America - Paraguay, Argentina, and Brazil. Good father and sons dynamic in this short story, with one son, Jericho, along with their father, Pete, and Jericho's training partners rescuing the other son, Bo, and his entourage from being kidnapped in Paraquay, etc.

Novellas seem to be the newest trend for authors trying to fill the time void between publication of full, series novels. Although never a short story fan I decided to give this novella a spin, as the Jericho Quinn series from Marc Cameron is a favorite. This swiftly paced international thriller didn't disappoint. Novellas by their vary nature are single plot line stories, so there's a certain lack of complexity and detail that must be overlooked in enjoying the novella for what it is. In this book, Jericho is called to rescue his big, little brother Bo, who's been abducted along with the group of spoiled rich college students he's been motorcycle guiding through Argentina. The bad guys are clearly bad, not shades of grey so there's no questions about that being a plot twist. If you're looking for secondary plots, character development (beyond what we already know) or lots of twists and surprises, then this novella might not be for you. This is a great yarn for a speedy read, with an abundance of action and a plot that moves at a fast pace, then you'll love this this latest installation in the Jericho Quinn series.

finished 24th april 2025 good read three stars i liked it no more no less kindle library loaner jericho quinn #7.6 have read most if not all of this series enjoyed each one entertaining read fast pace nothing seems out of place there are more than a few series that use the same recipe, hero protagonist that takes a bump from time to time, an associate sidekick usually by his side, a number of other associates that appear from time to time...and one item not as prevalent is a higher-ranking official as is seen in some other series, or...though there is someone higher in rank or command, that character is not as prevalent. all in all good reads.

The Triple Frontier was an Awesome introduction to author Marc Cameron!!! With this being a short 122 page read, the novella gave me a sneak peak into the flow of the writer and the characters of the series.
I would offer up Marc Cameron in any conversation when someone is looking for a new author in the thriller genre. The characters aren't over the top, but they mean business and will deal with the thugs of the world with the force to wipe evil off the map.
If you are looking for a new action/adventure author, Marc is an exciting, edge of your seat author...

Bo Quinn is captured in South America, leading to an off-the-books rescue spearheaded by Jericho Quinn and his constant companion, Jacques Thibodaux. It's going to be a bad day for the guys doing the kidnapping.
The downside to Marc Cameron taking over the Jack Ryan franchise is that we haven't had a full-length Jericho Quinn novel in a couple of years. 'The Triple Frontier' is the second short story Cameron has released, and I've gotta say that I enjoyed 'Dead Drop' more. Lots of build-up for a quick, mostly unsatisfying ending.

Jericho Quinn to the rescue once again, and this time it's brother Bo who needs his help. As a South American hostage situation goes (even farther) south, Jericho and his crew need to fight a corrupt judge and the merciless Richter to save the hostages that Bo was paid to protect.. Would have liked to have the characters put to better use and show their special skills a little more as he book finished way too soon for my liking. I received an advanced digital copy through #NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

A good novella but I felt like it had the potential for a full length novel and it ended a bit too quickly. It almost felt like Marc Cameron had a bigger book in mind with the setup and groundwork laid in the beginning of the book and then the editor said "Nah, dude we just wanna make this a novella, cut it down a couple hundred pages".
Still, it is a good and quick read and I would recommend it to any fan of his.

Another short story in this series (as it was "Dead Drop")
In this one Jericho's brother is the main character triggering Jericho to act, together with his teammates....and a special guest star!!!!
Interesting to know additional details about some secondary characters in the series but not the best novel with Jericho.

Readers, we visit the most lawless and deadliest regions in the world…and our hero-Jericho’s brother, Bo, is enlisted to guide/oversee a high tech son in this deadliest part of South America. All is well until Jericho receives a SOS for help then his “trio” of friends begin their journey. As always, fast paced, page turning and an interesting plot of cat and mouse. Enjoy

great shot story full of bang
The most interesting character has got to be Pete Quinn. He has appeared here and there throughout the series but this one you get a little more insight on the dad but also younger Quinn’s. Why they are the way they are. He should have his own book. I’m sure Cameron can come up with many Pete Quinn stories.

My only disappointment in this book was that it was over far too fast. I love the story, the emotion of a loved one in danger and the typical cut to the chase approach from jericho and his companions.

I always struggle with shorts and this one is no exception. Good story but I prefer full books and Marc’s ability to develop his characters over a full length book.

A very satisfying short story (Kindle Single). Very reasonable plot for the length of the story, characters we're familiar with, and a good wrap-up ending. I think that it will be appreciated by fans of the Jericho Quinn series.

Cameron provides us with a short story that involves his brother, kidnapping and the cartel. I wish this battle with the cartel would turn into a full fledged book and maybe it will. Typical badass with Jacques and Emiko.

A short story about the rescue of a group of young adventurers in South America. A book to waste time with, ok writing and easy to read but an artificial, contrived story, never feels authentic. A book that feels as if it was dashed off by the author in hia spare time, just to make some money.

Violence personified and exagerated.
The story moves quickly enough to not become complacent. Important friendly figures show up at the right moment to stay in the boundaries of believable. Heroic behavior abounds and grows to legendary level.

This one had my attention from start to finish. Nice to see a setting other than Russia, Europe, or the Mideast where mayhem and human moral rot flourish. Please use this setting again. BTW I need that Argentinian journalist's phone number....

I read the story on a Kindle and was surprised it was so short.
I ran out of pages long before I was finished... I need to pay more attention to the size of the books when I download the novel. Not a good choice for a book to take on holiday.

Fast paced book with good character development. Marc Cameron is a very good writer which books are well researched and informative. This is my third Jericho Quinn novel and I am looking forward to more.

This book was terrible. It was written as if an afterthought, with no plot twists and very little character development. It is a disappointment from this author who normally produces quality work.
