It was supposed to be a dream vacation … until I found myself stranded on the beach in a foreign country––helpless, broke and in tears. When a group of ripped and rugged athletes find me and bring me to their waterfront mansion, I know I’ll be safe for at least one night. It quickly turns into so much more. Not only do these men get me hot and bothered … they know what they want. Me. I’ve already been through so much ... and I'm scared of getting hurt. They promise to protect me ... but it's my heart I'm frightened for.
Dear Reader, This story has a different sort of HEA … one lucky lady and the four men who adore her. Set in Jamaica, this is more than a beach read … this is a sex-on-the-beach read— just like you deserve! Is it just me or is it gettin' hot in here?! xo, charlie & frankie
Protecting Our Virgin is book one in the Our Virgin trilogy by Charlie Hart. Charlie Hart is a pen name for the author, Frankie Love. I’ve read bunches of Frankie Love’s books but this was my first of hers writing as Charlie Hart.
Chloe is twenty two years old and just graduated from college. She has been dating Jordan for a month now. Jordan was a rich business man and introduced her to a world she never imagined. Mostly she was just amazed he was interested in her. Chloe grew up in the foster care system and got through college on scholarships. She lived on campus and studied hard. Chloe has been saving herself for a special someone. She’s not sure of Jordan is that person or not but when he wants to take her to Jamaica on his private jet, she can’t say no. Something feels wrong, though. And when Jordan doesn’t get what he wants, Chloe finds herself alone with no money or ID in a foreign country. She has no idea what she is going to do.
Enzo, Mason, Noah and Ethan are all extreme athletes. They travel and video themselves doing their sports with the support of their sponsors. Enzo and Mason were out walking when they happened on a woman huddled under a tree and crying. They can’t leave her there. She wouldn’t be safe and the weather is cold at night. So they convince her to come to their house down the beach. They promise her they will help her get to the Embassy in the morning but for tonight, they just want her safe.
“I didn’t just get three wishes from a genie’s lamp. Looks like I got four.”
Chloe feels safe with the four men for the first time ever! She can’t explain why. She shouldn’t, these are four strangers! Once she tells them her story, they vow to keep her safe, to take care of her. The attraction between them all is strong right from the start. Chloe feels chemistry with all of them. They know she isn’t experienced and want her to get to know them at her pace so they decide to each spend a day alone with her and let her get used to intimacy with each of them in smaller ways before they all work up to being together at the same time.
“Maybe you came here for a reason. Maybe you came here for us.”
Feelings develop quickly between these five. Each of the men have a unique story but of one thing they all agree, that Chloe is special, that they want to protect her, and that she is theirs. It doesn’t take Chloe long to awaken her inner sex goddess. She learns very quickly. And she realizes that every fantasy she has ever had is soon going to come true with these four men. She is so glad she saved herself. That she was meant to belong to these men.
Was this instalove? Yes! Did I love it? Another yes! These men knew right away Chloe was the one for them. You’ll need to have some ice water handy for this one because it’s a hot one. How could it not be? Four extreme athletes and one small woman that brought them to their knees. Sounds pretty perfect to me. I can’t wait to continue these five people’s story in the next book, Craving Our Virgin.
“We are the only men who can protect her. The only men who will ever protect her. We are hers and she is ours.”
Ugh I hate leaving a bad book review. I know the kind of time and effort that an author has to put into a story and criticizing that effort just makes me feel crappy. But on the other hand as a reader I appreciate when other readers give honest feedback, so here we go:
Protecting Our Virgin is, as expected from the title, a reverse harem smutty read - which normally is totally up my alley, but this was a tough read for me. The beginning of the story felt very disjointed and abrupt to me. The story is written in 1st person, but we really got no insight into the thought process that lead a girl to go home with two dudes she knows literally nothing about. She ends up stranded with no money or phone and considers wandering around in a foreign country in the dark in an attempt to find a police station, but doesn't think to use a phone at the hotel main desk to call for help? The MC goes from waiting for the right guy to on her knees in a circle of dicks in about 2.4 seconds. There's zero indication the guys are looking for an RH setup until after she's unabashedly kissing them in front of each other. And then there's the 'steamy' scenes.
I have to say - I didn't find the book steamy at all. Yes, there is detailed explicit content, but for several reasons it didn't appeal to me. The language felt like it was graphic for the sake of being graphic. There were a LOT of bodily fluids and way too much enjoyment focused around those fluids for my taste. The MC received no reciprocation and while there was some effort to indicate she "wasn't ready" to receive reciprocation the only reference to it that I recall was in one of the guys' opinions, not from the MC herself, which feels like it's just an excuse to be a selfish lover rather than fact. And if in fact the MC truly isn't ready for the guys to touch her then why the fuck are they comfortable coming all over her? If a girl is not physically or emotionally ready for a guy to finger her then I just feel really gross and uncomfortable about them taking their own physical pleasure from her.
Obviously others have enjoyed the book, so don't totally disregard it on my account, but if any of the above seem like something that would bother you there are a lot of other steamy RH's out there to choose from.
I don't usually read these kinds of books - being reverse harem - but sometimes I just can't help myself. I couldn't sleep and.. simply started reading. It barely took me two hours to start and finish Protecting Our Virgin and I enjoyed it, in some ways but..
Being this short, the characters definitely aren't fleshed out. You're thrown into the mix and barely get any explanation as to what exactly happened before. It's as if the author was a bit too eager to get to all the sexy parts. On top of that.. I can't really see myself, as a woman [let alone a virgin] who's just been abandoned by a person she thought she could trust, going along with two strange men to their house. Like.. I'd rather freeze on the beach? Then it took literally no time at all for said woman to get down on her knees for all four men.
Nevertheless, if you want to read some smut and like reverse harem, this might be your thing. I'm simply used to more fleshed out characters with more of an introduction to things instead of just jumping in there for the sake of it.
If I overlook those things, I definitely enjoyed it so still a 3 / 5.
Blurb: It was supposed to be a dream vacation … until I found myself stranded on the beach in a foreign country––helpless, broke and in tears. When a group of ripped and rugged athletes find me and bring me to their waterfront mansion, I know I’ll be safe for at least one night. It quickly turns into so much more. This book was a little....confusing? The scene opens with Chloe getting booted out a beach condo after her boyfriend steals her phone and all her identification in a foreign country because she won't give up her virginity. Literally, the next chapter, she's on her knees getting a sperm facial from four total strangers she's already decided to lose her virginity to in a gangbang.
I felt like I got to know the guys really well, but I hardly knew anything about Chloe, who was supposed to be the MC. It;s kind of like the character was just there to be a virgin for all the sex scenes. The sex scenes were hot, but they relied a little too heavily on bodily fluids.
I feel like I would have liked the book better if it was longer and Chloe was a little more fleshed out so I understood what the hell she was actually thinking in the first two chapters. It seemed like this huge leap that defies even fiction to go from the first chapter to immediately agreeing to lose her virginity to four total strangers
3.75 to 4 Stars to Protecting Our Virgin by Charlie Hart (a.k.a. Frankie Love).
This book was short but sweet. I really adored the premise and heroes, all four of them. Each had a different personality which brought a bit more depth to the story. Even with the different personas, everyone meshed well together. Unfortunately, though, it was the heroes that engaged me. I didn't particularly like Chloe and I felt no connection to her. Chloe's words and actions were not those of an innocent and as a result, some of the moments felt a bit awkward. I did my best to focus on the story as a whole which is how I ended up with my 3.75 to 4 star rating.
Chloe is left stranded in Jamaica with no money, ID, or clothes. She didn't even have on shoes when her a-hole of a boyfriend threw her out. She ends up alone, frightened, wandering the beach very late at night, when two gorgeous men come to her rescue and offer their home for the night. When Chloe arrives at their beautiful beach home, she finds two more sexy men there.
Chloe is a lucky, lucky girl. Four sexy, hot, athletic men to take care of her.
There really isn't much more to the story other than the relationship development between all of them. The story literally takes place over a few days then they all go home...together. I was a little disappointed by how rushed the ending was.
If you are already a fan of Frankie Love and you love over-the-top smut with four sexy men and a virgin, you'll enjoy Protecting Our Virgin.
I'm a little on the fence about this one. I really liked the story as a whole and the male characters. I wasn't so much a fan of her. She seemed weak to me. I also don't see how she went from virgin who refused her boyfriend to getting extremely handsy (if you know what's mean) with 4 random strangers like an hour after refusing the boyfriend. A little unbelievable and some parts seemed a little juvenile or immature. There was also a little too much hmmm... bodily fluid mentioning going on. And finally when we get to the steamy stuff (the last chapter) it was so rushed and none descriptive I was expecting so much more. Plus being a virgin she went all in on the first time. Let me tell you. Woo. Like I said over all I enjoyed the story as a whole and the guy characters really saved it for me. Each one was so unique and different I loved each one had a different story and different extreme sport. Short but happy ending.
When Chloe goes on holiday in Jamaica with her boyfriend she quickly learns it's either "put out" or "stay out". When Chloe doesn't choose the first, her boyfriend enforces the latter, but only after being a complete a hole and making sure she has no money, phone, passport or even clothes! Chloe goes to the beach whilst contemplating what to do, and luckily she runs in to 2 adrenaline junkies who takes her back to their place, where she meets the last 2 of her soon to be 4-men harem.
The book is oozing with fun and sex, but still Charlie Hart manages to not make it completely over the top sleazy. Can't wait to read book 2!
From the moment I started this book it felt like I had missed a huge chunk of story. This book didn’t grip me what so ever but I had already started it so I refused to give up. This story was pure sex. I didn’t feel any chemistry between the characters at all. After growing up in foster care, Chloe is reluctant to give up her virginity. She refused to sleep with her boyfriend – fair enough. Yet five minutes after meeting Mason, Enzo, Noah and Ethan, she is lusting after them. She barely knows them a week and she gives them her virginity?! As for Jordan, he ripped up Chloe’s cash, cards, id and passport but then hires a P.I. to find her? She was obviously still on the island so why did he need a P.I. – That being said, I am glad that Chloe’s new men were able to save her from that idiot.
I just didn't "feel" their connection. She meets them(4 men) late at night on the beach goes to their place and is asking to see them naked and mess around after knowing them for only hours. Shes also a 22 year old virgin who held on to it for the "man she loved" but in 4 days she taking 4 men( who she barely knows) all at once. I have read book with more then 2 partners and loved them, and felt the connection. Unfortunately this wasn't one of them.
The story of this book was completely at odds with itself. A girl who wouldn't "put out" for her boyfriend all the sudden (literally the next day) is willing to with a bunch of strangers?!?! The premise of the RH was good, but too rushed no stupidly unrealistic. But a nice "HEA" if you can consider it that after a couple weeks. 🙄
Stranded with no passport or money, Chloe meets four thrill seeking men who become her knights in shining armor who take care her to their beach house and take care of her. Because she is a virgin, they try not to overwhelm her and individually introduce her to sex. What seems like a book that is just about sex surprised me with great characters with strong back stories. The chemistry was explosive and sex with four guys and one woman were very hot. A great quick read that definitely ignites passion.
I give this book 5 stars. The storyline between Chloe, Ethan, Enzo, Mason and Noah was a great read and was well written. Chloe is in for a surprise when she is stranded in Jamaica.
This story is short and steamy! I do love how the four guys all get their own time and POVs with our female lead. There is a story here under all the steamy sexy bits. However there are several areas where incorrect words are used, causing me to be distracted from the story. A good proofread of this story would help make it a five star read!
I enjoyed this book. It was quick, sexy and sweet. I thoroughly enjoyed all the characters and loved getting all of their POVs. Can't wait for her next book!
Protecting Our Virgin is a Reverse Harem that pretty much sums itself up with it's title. You know immediately that this is more a beach read than an in-depth, heavily plotted novel. Chloe has gone on a romantic vacation to Jamaica with her boyfriend Jordan. It's pretty much a given that she loses her virgin status to Jordan on this trip. Instead hours later after a horrible fight, she's lost her passport, her credit cards and money, and the rest of her personal belongings. Jordan has tossed her out of the hotel and she's on the beach crying. She's discovered/rescued by Mason and Enzo. They take her home with them to the beachfront house they are renting while on the Island for work. There she meets their other 2 friends Noah and Ethan. The 4 are extreme sports stars who travel to exotic locations to film videos for their computer channel and sponsors. They also have a sexual desire to share a woman. They immediately decide Chloe is the right girl. This is insta-lust, quickly adding insta-love.
This is a fast paced book. There is adequate character development and a basic storyline, but it's mainly a vehicle for sex scenes. For a virgin this girl moves fast! There are some truly cheesy lines spouted by the guys, but the most over the top scene comes courtesy of a request Chloe makes the first night. I wasn't sure if I should giggle or be disgusted. Still, there is a place in every library for a book like this. Sometimes you just need a little escape. If you want a quick, steamy read on a summer afternoon, this is the book for you.
I rolled my eyes a lot! The book is good, but the “virgin” isn’t believable to me because she doesn’t act like what I think a virgin would act. There was entirely too much bodily fluid being spritzed around for me to be comfortable. Lol Not a horrible book, just not a book for me.
While this novel fulfills its function as consumable escapist fiction, it is essential to problematize the ideological framework upon which its fantasy is constructed. The narrative choice to center an all-white American cast in a Jamaican setting is a stark manifestation of the hegemonic norms that continue to govern the romance genre.
Operating through a distinctly colonial gaze, the setting is stripped of its cultural specificity and its people, performing a quiet but potent act of narrative erasure. Jamaica ceases to be a sovereign society and is instead reduced to an aesthetic commodity—an exoticized backdrop whose Black population is systematically decentered to make space for a white-centered emotional arc. This isn't a passive oversight; it is an active reproduction of structural power imbalances.
The narrative reinforces a racial discourse where desirability, agency, and subjecthood are implicitly coded as white. While the author's intent is not the primary issue, the impact is a story that perpetuates exclusion through the uncritical replication of a worldview that renders BIPOC individuals invisible in their own spaces. It is a troubling example of how media can reinforce systemic inequities under the guise of harmless fantasy.
Protecting Our Virgin is a short and very sexy reverse harem story about recently graduated college student, Chloe stranded in Jamaica without any money and without any way of getting back home. Her horrible boyfriend of a month just kicked her out of his condo after not getting what he wanted. Scared and alone, she had no idea what to do, but like in a fairy tale she is swooped up and saved not by one man, but four. Instantly she is surrounded by protection, warmth and eventually love.
Each man has a chance to get to know Chloe individually. They all had differing personalities and histories that fascinated Chloe. Within this short span of time, they all realize that they fit and they all belong together.
I am honestly not quite sure how I feel about this story. I didn’t really feel a connection with Chloe. After saving her virginity for “the one” and then within hours of meeting Enzo, Mason, Noah and Ethan they become very intimate. I’ve read instalove before and do love them, but this one, I didn’t feel it. But I am glad that they were there for her and finally gave her the protection and family she has been wishing for.
Loved the story about Chloe and her 4 hotties, Ethan, Noah, Enzo, and Mason. Chloe takes a trip to Jamaica with a guy named Jordan who kicks her out, tears up her passport and ID's and her money. Kicks her out of their condo because she won't give her virginity to him. When she is later found crying on the beach, two of her heroes invite her back to their mansion where 2 other men are waiting. When they all hear the story, they become very protective of Chloe. They invite her to stay with them while they order a new passport and ID's that she will need. As they all get to know each other the chemistry goes through the roof. Chloe goes on individual dates with each of the men and her longing to be with all of them comes to the fore front. Such a great story with a definite happy ending. Great to see them all come together for some of the hottest moments that I have read. Definitely a must read. Thank you Frankie Love for such a captivating story.
I loved reading Protecting Our Virgin: A Reverse Harem-Romance, all about Chloe a young college graduate who is stranded on the beach in Jamaica crying her eyes out when Mason & Enzo find her. The four guys rented a mansion on the beach for two months to do their Extreme Sports, when one night they find a beautiful young girl freezing on the beach and crying her eyes out. So naturally they bring her to their mansion! The author wrote a story about a young girl who has had a very tough life, and she finds herself stranded on Jamaica with no identification and no cash or credit to her name! Read this story and find out how Chloe fairs on the island of Jamaica with just the clothes on her back! I can't wait to read book 2! Enjoy, because I was unable to put it down!!
The reverse harem sub-genre is big in the indie romance world right now. I was curious so I searched for a book and found this one. It was free too.
I knew this book would be smutty. But it also had a storyline, which I appreciate. The author gave a fair amount of background for each character. I have to admit that Ethan was my favorite of the guys.
My only real complaint about this book is there was quite a bit of repetitive talk about Chloe being a virgin. The title tells us that the main female character is indeed a virgin so I think it was silly to have the male characters mention it in every chapter.
Overall it wasn't a bad read. It's not a sub-genre that I usually read. I have to be in the mood for it and tonight I just happened to be.
Oh My Gosh!!! Talk about intense, amazing, panty melting greatness!!! This book starts out vanilla (lol - read the book you will get why) as Chloe agrees to a jetsetting vacation in Jamaica with her boyfriend of a month. Who by the way I want to stab!!! After she realizes his true nature she discovers the 4 men who show her love, trust, honesty, loyalty, what it means to have someone, rely on someone, and be able to find your true self and be comfortable in your own skin. Amazing sexy men, beautiful lady and loads of hot sex... This book is more than 5 stars!!! I felt like I waa there, the wording and writing were so descriptive. Such an amazing book!!! Cannot wait to read the next one!!!!
