The only place that feels like home is in his arms.

Adam traveled the globe for years. Now he’s settling down in the small town of Fox Hollow, right in the middle of the mountains and forests. His new next door neighbor is sexy, intense, and painfully overworked, and all Adam wants to do is reach out and help.

Because Adam would do anything to get closer to Grey.

Grey is desperate to get out of Fox Hollow. He’s sick of it, and has been working a dead-end job for too long. So of course, right when he’s about to leave, the ridiculously hot Adam Fara moves in next door. But why would a former pop superstar really want anything to do with Grey—a small-town guy with no money?

Grey has two jobs, no time, and a crazy dog to take care of, and shockingly, Adam offers to help. When Grey shows up one night with a bottle of liquor, he stays at Adam’s house way later than he’d planned… ending up in bed.

It’s incredible. Fiery hot and passionate, like a wild dream. Grey’s never even been in love, let alone had another guy treat him so well, giving him exactly what he needs. It’s irresistible. But…

Grey’s leaving town in just a few months. And Adam’s just settled down.

Can Grey leave Fox Hollow, now that he’s finally found a reason to stay? Or has his wild heart finally found a home?

Wild Star is a 70,000-word gay romance novel about finding home and love in unexpected places. It has plenty of steam and a happily-ever-after ending. It is the third book in the Under the Stars series, featuring the former members of the boy band 5*Star, but each book can be read alone or as part of the series.

*2.5 stars**

The plus : it’s well written, it’s very sweet and sexy, the characters are nice. The down : it was too “quiet” for me and I couldn’t relate to the MCs.
Verdict : my rating is based on my lack of interest, and not on the quality of the writing nor the story. It was not for me, nor for the mood I’m in.

Back to form for the third in the series

3.5*

These two were a more sympathetic pairing than in the second book and I found myself enjoying it more although Grey was also a bit of an idiot at times.

Adam though, I loved Adam, the reluctant one in the band, the one who'd only been a part of it because of his friendship with Chandler and the free spirit.

I liked how he'd settled down somewhere obscure and found himself at home for the first time and how he'd been happy with his non famous life when he met Grey.

Grey was a bit of a martyr at times, although I did like his mum and the relationship he had with her. I also liked that she wasn't at all judgemental when he finally told her he was bisexual and with Adam and it was super cute when she got her own boyfriend.

Now I'm looking forward to seeing what happens with Chandler.

*** These men are destined to be, but they don't know it !
Grey and his dog, rescued Chewy, have a new neighbor, Adam, former boy band star; the idol of Grey's younger years. 5*Star...

Grey works, takes care of his Mom and volunteers at the shelter. Adam offers to walk the dog for him. Grey is star struck, but he still wants to change his life in the small town he's been raised, because he feels trapped.
While he and Adam begin to know each other, the hot sexiness begins.

We see the two get cozy, enjoying each other's company and beginning to have serious feelings. There are problems to overcome; his Mom's sickness, his desire to move, and his emotions for Adam. Grey can't wait to go to Portland; get out of this town, but he's got someone to stay for now.

This is a delightful, yet serious tale of a fellow in a rut, and his chance to escape, after all of his planning, is in question. There is a big shake up, and everything changes. We are lucky enough to see what happens.
ENJOY !

Want Love...get a Dog!

A dog named Chewy, lots of rain and non-smoking smoke break is all a part of the Adam & Grey romance. Author Raleigh Ruebins is famous for sweet, light angst romantic tales. This is another one in that vein. Cute characters, fairytale-ish tone, fun read. Even though, Adam seemed too perfect! Fun read!

This is a sweet book, almost no angst, with a starstruck grey, who's still cannot believe that Adam, his idol like, like him.
Made me a bit tired for too much telling and Grey who's always blinding by Adam's celebrity status, not to mention his friends.
But Grey is sweet, maybe that's why Adam is so determined to have him and do anything to make Grey his.
Maybe it could be more fun if I read it when I'm not tired and in a good mood.
Sorry.

"Wild Star" is a third book in "Under the stars" series by Raleigh Ruebins but it can be read as a standalone.
This is a love story about Adam Fara, former boy band member and Grey - volunteer in dog shelter and seller in a shop with ice creams. We observe what might happen when a famous guy tries to settle down and stays in one place for longer than just a few weeks.

It was the first book by this author for me and I didn't really know what to expect. This is a good, entertaining story with interesting plot and likable characters , but to be honest I had a hard time to fully understand MCs actions and unfortunately I didn't really "feel" the story . It just did not feel real enough for me. There is a lot of things happening here but everything happens so fast we cannot fully appreciate anything. I am terribly sorry, but it feels more like someone took a bunch of things that are popular in romance novels and mixed them all . There is too much stuff and not everything is necessary I found myself facepalming more than once and after a while it got a little bit annoying when i could predict what will happen next (because it would look good and not because it was sth to make the story more believable).

There's nothing wrong with this book, it is a nice, easy read without much angst . What I really liked is that there is NO insta love, we watch MCs grew closer, become friends than lovers. It is good.
In the same time it was too annoying for me, I couldn't stand Grey's constant conversations about his mom and 5*Star band. Jeez, how old is he?? He's acting like a fanboy all the freaking time. I didn't like Chewy since the only thing we get to know about her is she's crazy. It was unbelievable for Adam to work in a cleaning company and not being rich. I didn't like Grey's mom, and shouldn't she be younger (or Grey older) btw? Like she's 68 and he's 26...

I was excited about finally reading Adam’s story the third installment in the Under the Stars series. I loved the previous books and I was very much looking forward to this one. With elation but also with a bit of tripedation because could it be as good the others? But I shouldn’t have feared. Raleigh didn’t disappoint me.
I have said it many times and I say it again. I love Raleigh’s writing. It is flowing and natural. It is captivating and I was engrossed in the story right from the start.
Adam is the wild star. Always travelling, never settling down. Until he lands in Fox Hollow and meets his neighbor. He immediately falls for the younger man. Grey, who has dreams of leaving his home town. He is struggling under the burden of paying his mother’s medical bills. And he is not a man to ask for help. For a short time he is starstruck by meeting his teenage crush. However, Adam is nothing like a star with an attitude. He is a down-to-earth guy who is happier with giving than taking. I loved those two guys. They are so perfect for each other. Grey is self-conscious, always helping others and never asking anything in return. I loved how Adam doesn’t hold back but encourages Grey to fulfil his dreams. Adam is a sweetheart, strong in his self-confidence without being cocky. He is a rock for Grey. Grey is thriving beside Adam. He is stronger than he thinks. Yes, he has to swallow some pride. But he finds his own courage to come out to his mother and go for what he wants.
This book has not the laughing-out-loud funny banter I loved in the first two books. It has a more subtle humor that comes from the little gestures and in-between-lines. That doesn’t diminish the appeal of this book in the slightest. Raleigh has a knack of capturing the characters and situations and bringing them to life. Their day-to-day struggles are not of the most angsty kind but that makes it all the more realistic.
With this book I have another wonderful, well-written and heartwarming story in my hands. It left me with a warm fuzzy feeling in my heart. A book I will reread many times.

The things you do for me

I love love love this story of opposites; Grey who works in a truly dead-end job and is desperate to get out of his small town and Adam, former boy band star who aches for a normal, quiet life and ended up in the town in a quirk of fate.
Grey recognized his new neighbor immediately but couldn't for the life of him, figure what the gorgeous rock star would be doing in this town. Adam has been a world wanderer since his boy band days and all he wants now is peace and a quiet life. One problem. He is broke. The setup involves two men, both cash deficient. It didn't take long for their first encounter but looking ahead all I could see was disaster because Grey wants to leave and the sexy, gorgeous Adam wants to stay. The chemistry simmered just under the surface.."like I wanted to nuzzle up against his chest and proclaim it my home" and the characters were lovable and the reader absolutely wants them to find their HEA. A beautiful love story as we have come to expect from this talented author!

I was given a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. This is my first time reading a book by Raleigh Ruebins and I loved it. Wild Star is the 3rd book in the Under The Stars series but can be read as a standalone. There is nothing about this book I would change, the characters are interesting and complex and I love how they get together. Grey and Adam are perfect for each other but it takes Grey a little while to figure it out. Adam has never settled anywhere until he arrives in the small Oregon town of Fox Hollow. Unfortunately, all Grey can think of is leaving Fox Hollow and moving to Portland. They find everything they want in each other. I love a HEA and this book delivers it. I can't wait to read more of this author's books!

I've got to start by saying I received an advanced copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. I came to it with an open mind having never read anything by this author and wow, I was not disappointed.
The sweet story of Grey and Adam captured my attention from the start and lets not forget Chewy. Great name for a dog by the way!
The author takes us on a journey from the crapy to the happy (ever after) via some angst and self doubt and lots of sexy times in between. I like that even the secondary characters get their HEA as well as a little redemption. I can't say I was a big fan of Grey's mum to start with.
Am I going to read the other books in the series? Absolutely!! And so should you.

A lovely read, this book will hold your interest and put a smile on your face.

Alan and Grey found each other at a time when both are looking for a change. After travelling the world, Adam is ready to settle down, and chooses Fox Hollow to do it. His young neighbour Grey, on the other hand, wants to fly from his little, quaint town.

The chemistry between these two is undeniable, and Grey's dog will help to bring them together. But... they both are at a crossroad in their life and need to make decisions about what is really important, what they really want in their lives.

Raleigh Ruebins' writing is enticing, and the story flows smooth and easy; the characters are lovable and did I already say there is a dog?

Get this book, really. It's a winner.

Got ARC for an honest review.

First time reading from the author.
I loved the story, thought it was well written.

Adam and Grey become friends. The chemistry between them slowly builds as the story plays out. Adam and Grey can sure heat up the pages so much that, it can start a wildfire. You might need a water bomber flying over with water to drench you off from all the flaming heat.
Wow, the author sure pulled me into the world they built for their characters. Once you start reading you can’t stop. Hope to read more from them, found another author to stalk shelves for books.

Thank you for letting me read your story.

This book was, like the previous ones in this series, delightfully sweet. I liked that this book mostly focused on Grey and his struggles to live his life. Ironically, from what we knew of Adam in the other books, he was the most stable and the character with the least drama in the whole story.

Even though Adam didn't get as much of a focus in this book, I didn't feel that he was a flat character. He still had opportunities to develop as he helped Grey see beyond his self-imposed limitations. We got to see him learn how to support and love Grey beyond the preconceptions that he had built up in his mind about what settling down means.

I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.

This book was a beautiful love story. It's the first Raleigh Ruebins book I've read and now I really need to read more. Wild Star was beautifully written, the characters are engaging and adorable and there a for Hot scenes to spice things up and a HEA.

This is the story of Adam and Grey. A once was rock star and small town boy, their relationship develops gradually after Adam moves next door to Grey. A few drinks one night lets them both show the other how much they have been thinking about the other.

If you enjoy a good MM love story don't miss Wild Star.

I received a copy of this book in return for an honest review.

Another great sequel in this HOT, romantic series. Raleigh Ruebins has done it again as yet another member of the old 5 star band finds love. Adam is the more elusive member who has taken his money and traveled the world. In his quest of trying to find himself and a place to settle down he finds a small town in Washington State where he moves into an old house and meets a gorgeous neighbor, Grey. The two become more than friends but then Grey loses his job and wanting to move to Portland. Where does that leave them then?? Beautiful, emotional story you won't want to miss. Great Story...Great Series❤️❤️

Yikes...

This was a bit of a disappointment. I can’t get over how Grey was always so hung up on Adam being famous and all that. It felt like he was attracted to Adam because he used to be a big fan of their boy band than anything.

Also, I get that Grey’s character is supposed to be this really nice, noble, helpful guy but gosh, it seems like he could do no wrong. Even when he got irrationally angry with Adam, Adam was the one that had to make amends and he was so understanding and forgiving of Grey’s anger because hey, Grey is perfect yo.

I skimmed after 46% because I really hoped it would at least have a realistic story arc. Nope, didn’t work out.

Adam is a member of the 5*star band and wandering aimlessly looking to settle down. One day he stumbles into Fox hollow where he meets Grey. Grey is lonely working multiple jobs to keep afloat and taking care of his mom. He just wants out of Fox Hollow to follow his dreams. Add in a cute whacky dog named Chewy.

These two are so sweet and have instant chemistry. We watch their relationship build and fall in love. I have fallen in love with this series and can't wait for the next book

I stumbled upon Raleigh a few books back and happy to have given a new author to me a chance because every book I have read I have really enjoyed.

ADAM!!!! OMG!!! I am SO IN LOVE with him. By far, my favorite in this series. He was so freaking perfect. So freaking sweet. Perfect for Grey in every single way.
And Grey.....ahhh god love this kid!!! The weight of the world is on his shoulder's and all he wants to do is get away and live his life, but he feels stuck. Then the wonderfully attractive, sweet, kind, considerate Adam moves in net door and everything changes. These two are in the same place in their life, but appear to each want different things, but in reality, all they want is each other!!!!

Gah! I just loved this one!!!!!

Really first-rate, well-written story with steam, romance, a cute dog, and a couple who come from very different worlds. Adam, the former Boy Band member, and Grey, the sweet small town boy, are a great couple. Plenty of tension as Grey struggles financially and tries to balance his relationship with Adam against his reluctance to reveal his prediliction for men to his frail mother. The gradual build of their friendship to something more was especially appealing to me.

I received an advance copy of this book from the author at no cost. This is my voluntary and honest review.

Nice little series.

Not bad. I didn't enjoy this one as much as the others but this was the same brand of sweet I expected from reading the previous two. I felt like the ending was to abrupt but overall it was nice to get Adams story. The wandering ex boy band member finally finds a reason to settle down when he meets his neighbor in the new town he's moved to. Grey comes off as a kid sometimes but really he's a guy with a lot on his plate and Adam helps every aspect of his life. Cute story.

Adam was a member of 5*Star but is a bit of a lost soul living a nomadic lifestyle since they split although he stayed friends with the other band members. He comes to live in Fox Hollow and rents a small house next door to a very cute guy who he learns is Grey. Adam finds himself drawn to Grey although Grey is not out, especially not out to his mother who is ill and he looks after, struggling to pay for her drugs and hospital bills. Adam starts looking after Grey's dog while he is working and they both find themselves falling hard for each other.
Raleigh has written a wonderful story about two men from very different lives who find that they fit very well together.

Wild Star is the third in the Under the Stars Series.
Adam has traveled around the world using his money he made being in the rock band 5*Star. He is ready to settle down and Fox Hallow looks like the place.
Grey has wanted his whole life to get out of Fox Hallow. He is in a dead beat job, his mother is not well and he just feels stuck.
Adam and Grey are just sweet. I loved reading their story unfold.

What do I like the most about this book? How Grey and Adam express their love for each other. It only took you a couple of paragraphs to be convinced that Adam was hopelessly in love with Grey after receiving the assortment of presents, because I would totally fall for anyone that did that for me. I fell for Adam's gentle and calm persona and think he's just the man that brooding Grey needed. This happy ending was adorably sweet, in regards to Grey's mom as well, so one-click right now!

I love this whole series, but this story might be my favorite. Adam and Grey are great together. They go thru some bumps, adjusting to each other... Neither had been in a relationship before so everything is new. I love the way this author tells a story. Can't wait for the next one!

I love this series and it just keeps getting better. The guys are so adorable and good for each other. As one reviewer pointed out some things may not have been the most realistic but the things I noticed definitely took a back seat to the good parts of the story. Plus I don't really care too much about realism in my fiction.

Nice read

This couple was amazing. I know some might not like how depressed Grey was, but I liked how realistic it was; not everyone is blissfully happy just waiting for love to come find them. Life is hard and can suck in a huge way. I loved the way that things gradually got better for him and that he got his happily ever after.

I liked the characters in this story in the series. It was not my favorite of the series. It did not want to make me not stop reading it. I liked the first scene. I think that it was well written. It was good but It was not for me. I think that the dialogue was good.
