Great collection, in the pulp detective tradition. Private eye Rick Ruby is well-developed, with a strong cast of supporting characters. There are some minor inconsistencies in the collection (probably due to four different authors writing the stories), but each story stands on its own - not a weak one in this collection.

Highly recommended!
