Edessä on vääjäämätön taistelu. Pelastaakseen klaanit lopulliselta tuholta kolmikko päättää lähettää Kyyhkytassun sisaren Murattitassun suorittamaan äärimmäisen vaarallista tehtävää.

If you haven't read the other Omen of the Stars books, don't read this review.

Tension between the clans is rising. The Dark Forest is growing stronger. Cats are betraying their clans every night in their dreams and the battle between the clans and the Place With No Stars is coming closer every day. Ever since the death of the ShadowClan deputy, Ruessetfur, ThunderClan and ShadowClan have been hostile to each other; even to the point of capturing Ivypaw, a ThunderClan apprentice in exchange for life-saving herbs. Ivypaw keeps getting more jealous of her sister Dovepaw so she goes to the Dark Forest in her dreams. Tigerstar tells her that he will train her to be as great as Dovepaw so everyone will notice her and she will help her clan. It's a lie. He just wants her to join the Dark Forest (which is the same as the Place With No Stars) and fight along side them so they can take over the forest. The clans must stand alone now, even though they have relied on each other for as long as the clans have been around. Will Ivypaw still go to the Dark Forest, or can Dovepaw convince her that Tigerstar is just using her? Who will win the final battle between the Dark Forest and the Clans?
I thought "Night Whisperers" was really well written and was really upset when it was over. This book had the most betrayal by far, not only between the clans, but within the clans too. There was danger on every page and it wasn't slow to get into.

It took me FOREVER to read this book, but despite that it was still a pretty good read. Most interesting was the moment where Lionblaze called Jayfeather “Jay.” Literally no cat has ever called another by the first part of their name so that was weird and I had to read over it like four times.

It feels like the Erins were really struggling to hold it together with this one - the first two thirds felt like a panic to bridge the gap between two major story arcs, and it only really got going nearing page 200 or so. Before that it was much of the same thing with hints at mystery and danger, however once it did take off, it took OFF! the last third was fast paced and full of vital development and set up for the stakes of the second half of the sub-series, with some decent surprises. When it's all rounded up though, there are things I just dont understand

Spoilers but I was honestly surprised at the first ever inclusion of multi-clan point of view. It never really seemed to fit having this mini Flametail arc - surely using Dovepaws powers to see what was happening in shadow clan would have made more sense? And now hes just dead lol like what was this for,,, erins really struggled to fill this book

The only purpose of having Dovepaw and Tigerheart in a relationship was for the herb issue, forbidden romance is OLD and BORING. Let's have some forbidden friendships instead !!!! That's far more high stakes. Forbidden friendships have much more of a future.

But what forced me to drop the rating was that Graystripe has been completely disregarded as his own character. He left his CLAN for his firstborns, but when Briarlight is permanently crippled he's barely there ???? Millie is fighting for her alone??? What happened to the charismatic, loyal family man we knew and loved from earlier series? I get that he's to be treated as a background character now, but he barely has anymore presence than like,,, foxleap or mousewhisker. Hes fodder for bulking up patrols and I dont like it.

I hope that the enjoyment I got out of the last third of this book continues into the rest of the series.

Not another filler book *sigh*

It would be fine if it wasn’t the case that the last two books were similarly unnecessary.
There are quite a few criticisms, although they’re the same as always. Everything happens for a small subplot and not for depth. Character and logical inconsistencies and loooots of filler. But that is to be expected at this point. Like why did we even get a flametail pov? Right, for a few more pages to fill. Shadowclan was kinda interesting we never had this before. Still, I couldn’t care less about flametail . It’s frustrating reading the third book which consists of stretched out filler and constant foreshadowing. Seriously I GET IT. I get that the biggest battle ever is coming and I don’t need another prophecy for that.
It is not bad or anything it’s just fine. Nothing else, just fine. Overall enjoyable but even more forgettable. (I seriously had to think about what happened every time I opened the book…)

Fine, enjoyable for a few pages and instantly forgotten

Oh wow. Best warriors cats book ive read in ages.
Eveything was so good. A lot of povs but its interesting to see other clan’s perspectives.
Ivypaw personality kinda changed a lot, shes jealous and nervous. I never really liked Ivypaw but i like her more now, and i dont like Dovewing that much. Also Tigerheart was something interesting, i know hes gonna be a very interesting character.
DAMN and Flametail’s death? wtf he just died wow i feel so empty right now. He was such a goddamn good character, going through that anxiety and stress because of his mentor and his clan life in general. He is one of my favourite characters ever and ill never forget that man. What a good character i just dont know what to feel because he died having fun. Already missing you Flametail😭😭😭😭😭😭
A 5/5 book for me, finally getting my motivation to read.

I was so shocked that Flametail died! How could she?! He was a really important character! I really want Lionblaze and Cinderheart to be mates. I really liked this book though. Can't wait for the next book!

At this point, I do have to admit I'm a little bit tired of the same "forbidden inter-Clan romance" and "innocent cat gets tricked into Dark Forest training" plotlines lol. But it is interesting to see the Dark Forest characters get more screen time and this book built up some ominous suspense about what they have planned for the forest cats. Plus it was interesting to get a perspective in a different Clan this time around. I definitely don't remember anything after this book so these next three installments should be a fun ride!

(Also, I’m still mad at Sagewhisker and Fernshade for putting all the blame for the battle in the last book on Yellowfang and basically saying all the forest's problems are her fault bc she gave birth to Brokenstar!!!!)

I loved this one!

I don't have too much else to say without giving spoilers, but many parts surprised me.
They seemed to change it up to not fully focus on thunderclan, which made it feel more realistic.

So, I did enjoy this book. It is terrifying but fascinating to watch StarClan pull apart from each other and tell the Clans they can trust no one but themselves when in reality they should be banding together against the Dark Forest cats. The scenes where Ivypaw trains in the river of blood are horrifying. I feel terrible for Ivypaw, who has been manipulated by her feelings of inferiority in comparison to her sister, who literally has special powers. And of course there’s Dovepaw and Tigerheart sneaking off together, which I don’t love as much as I did when I was younger but is still cute, and Dovepaw finding out Tigerheart is training with the Dark Forest too. Cinderheart and Lionblaze’s romance is all right; I understand why Cinderheart pulls away from Lionblaze once he reveals his powers, but I don’t feel like it was portrayed well in the book. It’s very rushed and not fleshed out. Still, great elements.

My issue with this book is Flametail’s storyline. His POV is added just so he can be killed off; we don’t get a lot of benefit from his scenes, which, yes, show what’s happening in ShadowClan, but could’ve been shown other ways, like through Dovepaw’s powers. I think it was mostly there to show how Littlecloud was deteriorating. But then there was his death. The blurb makes it sound like a cat dies because he’s fighting against the Dark Forest. No. He dies because he’s was playing on the frozen lake and it cracked. Which, yes, he was very stressed and this was his chance to let loose and everything, but his death felt like there was no real point to it. There are other deaths by random acts of nature, but because this one was set up to be “fighting against the Dark Forest,” it fell flat. The only significance to it was when Tigerstar tells Ivypaw to kill him for real in the Dark Forest.

Still a good book. I just don’t like that plot point.

First, let me say that even though I don't like cats, I loved the first series of Warriors. It was exciting and Tigerstar was an awesome bad guy. (Note that I say he was an awesome bad guy; now I don't even know what his intentions are.) The second series wasn't bad, the third series went downhill, and this fourth series has just reached an all time low.

Pretty much nothing got done for the entire book; all that happened was a bunch of foreshadowing and annoying prophecies. Every time the characters were warned of a big battle, I thought to myself, "Man, this battle better be good." So far, nothing in the Power of Three or Omen of the Stars has impressed me that much, but the only reason I'm still reading it is for the finale at the end. I just hope it isn't like the Breaking Dawn ending (if you read the Twilight series, you'll know what I mean).

So, apart from the monotone writing and flat and repetitive plot, this book is also making no sense. The StarClan cats and Dark Forest cats are supposed to be dead... right? Well, now I've leaned that they can die again! What's the point of being dead if you can die?

I was beginning to like Flametail, who is the ShadowClan medicine cat apprentice. I hoped that he would be a good character for the rest of the series, but the author killed him off in two pages of description!

Oh, and TigerxDove? Enough with the forbidden love, Erin! We've all seen it before, especially in your other books.

Well, this book was my least favorite out of all of the Warriors book so far. This final battle had better be good, or else I've wasted a lot of time reading about a bunch of cats who didn't end up doing anything.

I LOVE the cover!!! This has to be my favourite Warriors cover of any of the books I've read so far! The gorgeous purple background, the almost-perfect font colour (cerulean would have been perfect!), and of course orange cats are my favourite! Love it!

This thrid book in the Warriors Omen of the stars, is the most suspensefle of them so far. It makes you question whats going on and what is happening. Ivypaw, the sister of dovepaw, who is a cat with super sencing powers, is trying to compete with Dovepaw because every cat loves her. She trys to compete by going to the dark forest, a place of dead evil cat (like cat hell). And when Jayfeather, a cat with the powers to enter other cats dreams, finds out he uses her as a spy, to prepare for the battle with the dark forest. But when Ivypaw find out her so called friend TigerStar, a cat from the dark forest, is plotted to attack her family, friends and all the clans, she relizes what she's up against. This is a great book about family bonds, betrayals and death, in wild cats life.

This was so good, although so sad, I found when flametail drowned to be super sad. In the book it felt like he just gave up, he just let himself drown. When I first met him, (as flame kit/paw) I was happy that he wanted to be a medicine cat, and I liked him as a side charter. In the beginning of this book after russetfur died in a battle she was to old to be in, he was rude to lionblaze saying he doesn't want to be kin with a murderer and yet, their grandfather was tigerstar. But other than that the book was good.
